Chapter 109: Breaking the City(1/2)

"Sir... is right in front." Taniria's surrendered soldiers who were forced to lead the way stumbled in front, covering the wound on their heads and tremblingly.

The people behind him made him feel scared from the bottom of his heart. This Tanirian veteran had never seen such a fierce soldier. He rushed into the crowd with musket shooting and killed all the musketeers.

The surrendered soldiers' legs were trembling uncontrollably, and fear made him look back and peek.

Seeing these small actions, Winters, in a furious state, slammed the surrendered soldiers into the back of the head.

The surrendered soldiers were beaten to the point of being beaten into the mud and water. They climbed up without delay for a second, and choked and prayed to move forward.

The Venetta people, who had no scruples, directly exploded the crater at the top of the mountain, and the water poured down the original small riverbed into Tacheng, as the first wave of offensives of the Venetta people.

After several hours of fierce battle, the Venetta soldiers broke through the trenches, the earthen embankments and the will of the Tanirians, and the defense of the city in the city collapsed.

The "siege" in this besieged city has fallen into complete chaos, and Tanirian soldiers are still hiding in the house to resist, while the red-eyed Venetta soldiers will kill everyone when they see it.

Winters turned a blind eye to all this, and he and Major Moritz got separated in the melee - but it didn't matter, because he only had one person.

"It's this, sir." The surrendered soldiers pointed at the residence of the Count of the Old Ayuji Island with trembling fear, and did not even dare to look back. Then, he heard the sound of pulling out his weapon. The surrendered soldiers subconsciously closed their eyes.

"roll!"

Taniria's surrendered troops were like amnesty, and they rolled and crawled away.

Winters rammed open the wooden door of the tower and roared loudly at the name: "William Kidd!"

The last few Union guards in the tower rushed down the stairs and were killed by Winters. For each person he killed, he yelled: "William Kidd!"

The roar echoed in the tower like a life-seeking spell. The last guard was frightened by Winters, who was like death, and actually threw away his weapon and jumped into the window and fled in panic.

At the top of the tower, he found William Kidd.

William Kidd sat in a chair, not seemingly surprised by the moment's arrival.

Compared to the energetic captain when they first met, William Kidd in front of him had been completely dried up: his temples and cheeks were deeply concave, his eyes were tired and haggard, his shoulders became thin like leaves, and his originally wide wrists were only bones left.

But even if there was only one layer of skin left, Winters recognized the face, and he confirmed it was William Kidd.

"Ha, Venetta, you won...for the time being." William Kidd on the chair looked extremely calm: "Kill me, go and exchange for rewards."

But the next moment, Winters picked him up from the chair and threw him on the ground.

Kidd moaned in pain, and the furious Winters stepped on William Kidd's chest and gritted his teeth, asking, "Do you think I care about that shit?"

After saying that, he punched William Kidd twice in the face.

William Kidd was beaten to the point of blood, his nose was broken, and red liquid flowed out of his nostrils.

"I'll ask you one thing." Winters gasped, spat out a mouthful of blood, pressed the tip of his knife against William Kidd's neck and asked, "Where is your wizard?"

"Hahahaha..." William Kidd let out a creepy laugh as if he had heard the ridiculous joke.

He laughed so hard that he was even choked by the blood in his mouth.

His face was blushing and coughing, his facial features showed a pathological rosy: "You... don't know anything... right... hahahahaha..."

Winters didn't talk nonsense to him, and raised his knife and chopped off William Kid's right index finger: "Where is your wizard?"

"Ah!!!!!!!" The heart-to-heart pain came from his hands. William Kid screamed and wanted to cover the wound, but his arm was trampled by Winters, causing him to roll on the spot.

"Where is your wizard?"

This time, William Kidd's middle finger was separated from his right hand.

William Kidd curled up from violent spasms. He could not even make a complete scream. There was only an intermittent low and broken sound in his throat.

"Where is your wizard?"

William Kidd lost another finger and his consciousness began to become blurred.

"Where is your wizard?" Winters was just asking again and again: "Where is your wizard?"

...

"Where is your wizard?"

Major Moritz, who led the other alive casters to the tower, was shocked by everything in front of him.

"Wentes! What are you doing?!" Moritz strode over and dragged Winters away from the already confused William Kidd: "Calm down!"

"Let me go!" Winters struggled like a crazy brown bear and roared: "William Kidd knows who that magician is! He knows! He knows everything! Let me go! XXX Let me go!"

"Lelo! Joshua! Carry William Kid away!" Moritz and Pisani worked together but could not hold back Winters, and immediately ordered others to get William Kid away: "Hurry up and stop the bleeding, Major General Serbiati ordered the name to live!"

William Kidd was quickly carried off the tower, and the Major and Pisalo grabbed Winters tightly and refused to let him chase him.

"I feel sadder than you when Field died!" Moritz pressed his forehead against Winters's forehead: "But war always kills people! Do you understand? Field doesn't need you to avenge him! Do you understand?"

I don't know how long it took, Winters returned to normal from his rage. He suddenly felt very tired, and his whole body felt like he was drained from his body, and the sword in his hand fell to the ground.

Moritz finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Winters had no longer lost control.

Looking at Winters' blood-stained armor and clothes, the major quickly ordered Lieutenant Pisalo and another Lieutenant to "escort" Winters to find Doctor Suijun to deal with the injuries on his body.

Looking at the dark red blood on the floor of the tower, Lieutenant Kirk said to the major with lingering fear: "This little guy... is crazy and he is just two people than usual! It's like... it's like a soul in his skin..."

Moritz looked at Winters' back from the tower and sighed.

...

Outside the Officer's Medical Office, Winters said to the two lieutenants who "escorted" him: "Two seniors, don't be following me anymore. Please rest assured, I won't go to William Kidd's."

Pisalo looked at Winters for a long time, and when he saw that Winters seemed to have returned to normal, he nodded slightly: "Okay, come and find me if you need help."

Winters nodded, and walked into the medical office.

The doctor of the army, Kane, was almost frightened by Winters' appearance. Kane's assistant helped Winters take off his breastplate, which had two terrifying depressions on the front of the breastplate.

Doctor Kane pointed to the two depressions and asked Winters: "How did this look like this?"

"It was shot by a musket." Winters recalled the fierce battle before and replied: "It may be that it was far away and it was not penetrated."

"Take off your clothes and I'll check it out for you."

"It's okay if you haven't penetrated it, and your breastplate is not close to your body."

"It's not as simple as you think. If the musket doesn't penetrate your breastplate, it doesn't mean you are not injured." Kane insisted: "Take off your clothes and I'll check it out."

"Mr. Kane," said Winters tiredly, "You might as well deal with my left arm first."

"Your left arm?" Kane looked at Winters' left sleeve, covered in sludge and blood: "What's wrong?"

"I was shot in an arrow when I crossed the trench." Winters replied lightly.

"Where is the arrow?!" Kane was shocked.

"I pulled it myself."

Kane yelled angrily: "Mr. Montane! You're dead?!"

"Aren't I dead?" Winters chuckled and said, "You can wash the wound and then sew it on."

As he said that, Winters tried to take off his military uniform.

"Don't move!" Kane shouted: "Don't move! I'll cut it open for you with scissors! Don't move it!"

Dr. Kane went to get the scissors, and Winters suddenly felt his internal organs surging, his throat was straight and stiff, and then a huge force rushed up from the depths of his chest.

Winters held Kane's assistant and involuntarily retching. The violent retching made him feel as if his internal organs had moved, but he didn't vomit anything.

Kane ran back to Winters and quickly cut Winters' military uniform.

The corresponding positions of the two bullet marks on the breastplate were as bruised as two purple flowers blooming on Winters' chest.

...

"I still don't understand that Tower City is a city that is destined to fall into an isolated city." Antonio sat next to the dying William Kidd, his tone as if he was chatting with an old friend: "Why don't you surrender even though you know you will lose?"

"What about you?" William Kidd, who was lying on the bed, slapped out a difficult sentence: "If...you are me...will you surrender?"

Antonio was silent.

"If I... open the city and surrender." William Kidd actually squeezed out a smile: "I'm afraid you don't think... there is no one in the archipelago..."

"Do you have anything else to say?" Antonio stood up.

William Kidd responded unwillingly: "Do you still...what should you ask?"

Walking out of the room where William Kidd was imprisoned, Major Moritz was waiting outside for Antonio.

"Have you found the Tanirian magician?" Antonio asked bluntly.

"Sorry, Legion Commander, no." Major Moritz shook his head: "The sources of the captives are too mixed and they are almost impossible to identify effectively. General Layton said, otherwise they would just kill them all."

"This is the last resort. OK, leave this to me and Layton, you don't have to worry about it." Antonio and Moritz walked towards the command side by side, praising: "You and your spellcaster team have done a good job. Layton and I will ask for me for you. What do you think will turn this spellcaster team into a fixed organization?"

"It's difficult to achieve." Moritz shook his head: "General, the spellcasters in the army are all officers. How can any officer be willing to be used as soldiers? The identities of spellcasters and commanders actually have conflicts. Officers do not need strong personal combat power, and the role of spellcasters will be dragged down by command functions. Perhaps... the empire's method of using the court mage is the correct idea..."

...

...

Fifteen days after the Venetta army conquered Ta City.

The door of Ana's studio in Navare Manor was suddenly pushed open, and Elizabeth rushed in.
