Chapter 21 The Wolves Hunting

A huge team was moving on the ground, and its location was far away from the Warhammer stronghold and was in an endless grassland.

Under the blue clear sky, green is everywhere, and the grass deep into the thighs constantly exudes a unique fragrance. The dewdrops on the grass turn into invisible gas under the sunlight and dissipate in the air. The grass sways and horse hooves sound. Several insects who came to the world early were frightened and spread their wings to flee around in panic. The ubiquitous snakes and rats also quickly drilled back into the soil under the tremor of the earth, waiting in fear.

The grass rustled and separated to both sides. Dozens of grassland deer stood up from their lying position, half of which was originally completely covered by the grass exposed, and their slender neck twisted around, their pointed ears kept shaking, and their deer hooves were slightly anxious to tap on the ground, making a roar of deer sound uneasy.

This is a small herd of deer with more than 70 grassland deer. On the grassland, wild beasts of this size can be seen everywhere. The deer that is full of tender weeds, seems to sense something. They stand up like chain reactions, and more than a dozen adult male deer with huge antlers are sniffing, and the antlers are outside, protecting the doe and the deer inside. The smell from the wind makes the bucks extremely nervous. It is the smell of natural enemies, the terrifying breath of carnivores, and the breath of death.

"Aowu~~~~" A series of wolf howls came from the west of the deer, causing panic in their eyes to appear in the deer. The horror of the wolf pack has long been deeply engraved in the souls of the wild beasts in the grassland. Every howl was like a heavy hammer, hitting the heart of the deer.

The panicked deer began to move anxiously and retreated to the east away from the arrival of the wolf pack. The speed went from slow to fast, and finally turned into a wild run under the pressure of the howling of the wolf constantly approaching.

A silver shadow flashed, and at the original position of the deer, there was a silver-haired girl with limbs on the ground. Due to the height of the weeds, the girl lying on the ground was almost completely covered by the weeds. Only her back and long silver hair in a white robe were faintly exposed at the top of the grass. The silver girl sniffed in the air, raised her head and howled. Behind the girl, fifty silver giant wolf scattered in the shape of a fan, echoing with howling.

Compared with the black wolf she had seen in the Shining Forest, the silver wolf had a larger body size and sharper minions, which surpassed the black wolf in terms of strength, speed and flexibility. The fifty silver wolf following the girl is the most powerful group of them. Each of these silver wolfs, even if they stand on all fours, can reach the height of the adult's chest. Although tall, it does not look bloated. Each one has a very well-proportioned figure and looks full of powerful deterrent power. However, even such a powerful wolf willingly follows the girl, following the smell of the deer, and keeps a speed that is neither fast nor slow, so that the deer has no chance to distance.

The deer group could only keep running forward when they were forced to do so. Occasionally, one or two deer left behind because of falling, and soon the neck was bitten by the silver wolf that caught up. The grassland deer was very large. The adult grassland deer was not smaller than the silver wolf, and its weight was not low. It often had more than 200 to nearly 300 kilograms. However, the hunting instinct of the silver wolf allowed them to easily kill these prey without any obstacles. Although the prey was killed, the prey was unable to carry them. However, the silver wolf was not troubled at all, and threw down the dead deer without hesitation and continued to track it. Let the corpse lie in the grass. After a few minutes, a group of smaller or injured female wolves followed along the way with a group of adult little wolves. Several cooperated to drag the dead deer on the ground and chased them along the weeds that the giant wolf were overwhelmed.

The chase lasted less than half an hour, and the running deer suddenly stopped. In the grass in front of them, hundreds of silver wolves suddenly stood up. Not only in front, but also in every direction, there were silver wolves guarding them. Cooperating with the wolves chasing behind them, they completely surrounded them in the middle.

The deer with no way out was crowded together again, and the desperate bucks once again showed their only weapon, the antlers, and threatened the approaching wolf pack with their hard horns. At that time, the wolves didn't care about this. The grassland deer was just a wild beast, while the silver wolf was a monster. Just like the gap between ordinary people and professionals, unless the size and strength were too different, the attack of the beast could not cause too much damage to the monster. Even if the antlers of the grassland deer stabbed the silver wolf, they could not break through the defense of the silver wolf's skin. The silver wolf did not need to worry about any injuries as long as they avoided some special key points such as their eyes and mouths.

"Aowu~", the silver girl in the lead shone with the light of divine magic, and suddenly turned into a bolt of lightning, and rushed towards the buck who looked like the leader at the fastest speed. Following the girl, a large number of silver wolves also rushed out, allowing the screams before death and the pungent smell of blood to spread on the grassland.

"Dianna was having such a great time." A hundred meters away, several people rode on horses and looked at the hunting ground of the wolf pack. Panis joked: "I don't know what kind of expression will be when Lina knows that she uses her teeth and nails to tear the necks of a group of deer."

"Don't worry." Catherine heard the uneasiness in Panis's teasing and comforted him: "Since Lina is willing to cooperate with Diana to exchange physical control, she probably has made this preparation long ago. Diana did not do anything exaggerated, and they would not have conflicts. Diana is also pitiful. At least in her own cognition, she should have been held in for hundreds of years. She has only come out in the flash forest once. It's nothing to let her have a good time this time."

After a false alarm the night before yesterday, under the mediation of Lina, or Diana, the wolves temporarily retreated further, and the Warhammer stronghold also lifted the alert. This should have been a blessing, but the orc civilians returned to their homes with regret, and the reality that they could not participate in the battle made them feel depressed. After the realm was lifted, Diana and Catherine discussed and bought ten beef cattle and ten grassland sheep from the residents of the stronghold. There is never a shortage of livestock on the grassland. Wanting to buy cattle and sheep is as simple as buying bread in a city in a human kingdom. The transaction was completed quickly. Including the tiger man Palchi and Marcia of the Temple of War, the five people accompanied Lina to drive cattle and sheep into the grassland, giving the hungry wolf pack a big gift.

When countless huge silver wolves suddenly emerged, Catherine saw their interaction with Diana. Even though Diana was walking upright at this time, the wolves still did not regard her as an alien. Instead, they were like a group of children who saw a strict mother. They wanted to get close but were shocked by their mother's majesty. They wanted to avoid it but were reluctant to leave. They could only keep a certain distance and act coquettishly with their screams. Some even lay on the ground and shone their white belly outside, making whimpering sounds.

Diana did not lie down, nor did she continue to maintain the majesty of the king. Instead, she walked into the wolf pack with a gentle smile, and sat down, scratching the silver wolf with her belly one by one. The scratched silver wolf snores in her throat like puppies, looking very happy.

Until the leader of the wolf brought the fattest sheep that should belong to him to Dianna and was rejected by Dianna, the wolves howled and began to share dinner. Based on the wolf's food, these livestock were only enough to satisfy their hunger, but the wolves were still very satisfied and reluctantly watched Diana and the other six returned to the stronghold.

In the evening, Lina changed her body back and told Catherine and Panis that Diana wanted to help the group of silver wolves, so they might appear frequently in the next few days so that they don’t have to worry about themselves. After saying this, Lina handed over control of her body to Diana again, which seemed to be scattering her hands.

Lina's words made Catherine, Vivian and Panis understand that the trouble had not been over. Sure enough, after leaving yesterday morning, just as the horses ran away, they saw a group of silver giant wolves squatting in the grass, sticking out their tongues and looking forward to the people running on the horses. Under Diana's howl, the wolves jumped happily and ran behind the horses. Not long after, Diana herself couldn't help it. She jumped off the horse and went on all sides, and ran with the group of wolves, as if she had returned to the past where she had led countless giant wolves to dominate the grassland.

Palchi and Marcia, who did not understand all this, were unable to express their surprise. They felt that their common sense had been completely shattered by everything they had seen in the past two days and could no longer be restored. Especially Marcia, she thought that she had lived in the wilderness for many years and was mixed with monsters. There were not many people in the world closer to monsters than her, but then she realized that compared to Diana, she was nothing at all. She was just close to monsters, but Diana had completely transformed into monsters. These were two completely different realms.

The whole day and night of time made the wolves slowly relax their vigilance against the strange creatures that followed the wolf king, especially when they saw their kings so close to these creatures, some wolves even distributed their prey to a few people after hunting. This kind of kindness from the ferocious monster made several people laugh and cry.

It was still half a day before the arrival of Palchi's tribe, and Diana took the wolves for the last hunt today. The harvest of this hunt was very rich, enough to prevent the wolves from hungering for two days, nor would they attack the livestock raised by the herdsmen in the Palchi tribe because of hunger.

"This is my prey, it's very good." Diana bit the neck of a deer and dragged the prey to several bystanders. She returned to her standing posture when she was in front of the horse, carrying the antlers to show everyone: "Pennis, after arriving at Palchi's tribe, you have to be responsible for cooking. It's been a long time since she enjoyed the prey she had hunted herself."

"You still need to cook." Panis made a surprised expression and said deliberately: "I thought you were going to pounce on him and eat it directly."
