1350. Take you to dive

After Winnie's story, Qin Shiou learned about the incident.

Mrs. Green was registered at a nursing home in St. Johns and was soon told that she could check in. Four days later, when Pastor Green was also about to move in with his wife, she was rejected.

The reason given by the hospital was that Pastor Green's health was worse than his wife and needed higher medical care levels, so he had to be admitted to another high-standard nursing home in Cabernet.

The old pastor was stunned when he heard this. You should know that St. Johns and Cabernet were more than 100 kilometers apart, and it took more than an hour to drive directly on the highway. Given the current physical condition of the two old men, once they were separated, they would basically be able to see each other once a month.

The couple hurriedly found the department responsible for arranging nursing services in the provincial government, hoping to "encompass" it, and arranged the two together for humanitarian reasons.

The other party has a good attitude, but he said he is helpless because "the province's medical policies are based on personal health needs, not marital status, to formulate long-term medical care plans."

Therefore, the old couple who had never separated for half a century had to separate because of rigid regulations.

It was not until they separated that the old couple realized that the pain of separation exceeded the pain of illness. The old pastor missed his wife and called each other seven or eight times a day, but he still could not eliminate the feeling of loneliness. The old lady was worried about her husband's body, and those who couldn't see him like to think about it, and she wanted to hold the phone when she was sleeping, and she was relieved to hear him calling.

"The most extreme thing is that the nursing home does not allow visitors to stay overnight, so even if Pastor Green goes to visit his wife, he cannot stay together for a long time." Winnie said indignantly.

Clayson slapped the table hard and said, "Yes. It's too much. The damn ruling party and politicians never pay attention to the life and death of the lower-class citizens. They only say some high-sounding words to bully us when they are running."

The pastor and his wife searched all the departments responsible for arranging nursing services, and the latter had been unable to solve the problem for a long time, so there was no way to do so. They had to find Winnie.

As the mayor, Winnie was naturally obliged to solve the problems of the people in the town, but she had no choice but to adopt a compromise method - to take the pastor's wife, who was in better health, and sent it to Cabernet. The town hired a nurse for her and rented a house next to the nursing home in the small town. This way, the couple can be together during the day.

But this is not a long-term solution. First, the cost is too high. Originally, the Greens and his wife did not need to spend money to enter the nursing home. The government is responsible for the funds for the nursing home.

This is not the most important thing. After all, the town’s fiscal revenue has improved a lot now. Giving the town’s residents some benefits is not a big problem.

More importantly, the old couple has been married for half a century and have always been sleeping in the same bed. However, when they are old, they have to live separately and cannot adapt at all. Both elderly people have severe insomnia.

Auerbach was also very dissatisfied after hearing this. He said, "Pastor Green and his wife are good people, and good people should not suffer such hardships. In the most difficult years in the town, he prayed for everyone in the dilapidated church. Now the situation in the town has improved, and everyone has lived a better life, so he cannot make it difficult."

Qin Shiou asked Winnie what she thought. Winnie said: "I am trying to find a way to contact the person in charge of the provincial government's nursing service. If they can't solve this problem, I will resort to the media and let people all over Canada see how unkind the country is now."

Qin Shiou thought about it and thought that Winnie might be the best way to do this.

He took out his cell phone and wanted to call Hamre, but Winnie stopped him. He shook his head and said, "It's nothing to do with Hamre, Qin. Don't leave it to me that we have to go through relationships to resolve everything. I'll do it myself."

Qin Shiou respects Winnie's opinion. He doesn't want to care too much about the town. It's not that he is lazy, but that he cannot hurt Winnie's confidence. If he is the one who deals with any crisis, where will Winnie, the mayor, establish his prestige?

But he can help Winnie in other aspects, that is, to help her relieve her negative emotions and make her feel better.

On Saturday morning, Winnie slept a long lazy sleep before getting up. She went downstairs with her hair disheveled, complaining to Qin Shiou: "It's already eight o'clock, why didn't you wake me up earlier?"

Qin Shiou reached out to help her comb her hair in a doting manner and said gently: "Hi, my dear, you are too tired now and need more rest."

Winnie lay in his arms and said, "It's okay, I can handle it, it's all a small problem."

There are only ten days before their wedding date, and a lot of preparations are in full swing. Winnie has a lot of private affairs, and with the business affairs in the town, how can she not be tired?

After Winnie finished washing and having dinner, Qin Shiou took out two diving suits and smiled and said, "Dear, I'll accompany you to dive? Just think it's just relax."

These two diving suits were just rebuilt. They are not the new diving suits filled with fluorocarbons in the past. They are ordinary dry diving suits, which are tightly attached to people and can make people more flexible in doing various movements.

When Gordon saw it, he jumped over and said, "Qin, I want to go diving too, I haven't dived yet."

Qin Shiou said: "Go and find a washbasin, fill it with water and stuff your head in for a minute, and then you will dive through the water."

Michelle held the basketball and said, "Gordon, don't bother Qin, come on, accompany me to practice football."

Gordon said dissatisfiedly: "Practice, practice, practice, man, you are now obsessed with it."

Michelle said: "Does the sparring fee cost ten yuan per hour come? If you don't come, I'll change it."

"Come on, how can you not come? Believe me, my dear banshees brother, as long as you maintain such enthusiasm for practicing football, your future is limitless, and only the sky is your limit!" Gordon said solemnly.

"Thank you for your blessing, Gordon, but I won't give you the money in advance, it's useless to say anything you say."

"Don't do this, my brother, how about giving a deposit first? Just half? Or one third or one quarter?"

"Don't even think about it."

"Fake, I will be careful that you will be worse than death later..."

The two teenagers left with laughter. Qin Shiou took Winnie onto the yacht and drove to the water above the coral reef. He helped Winnie put on her diving suit and tested the oxygen tank without any problem. He said, "Okay, my dear, let's see you underwater."

Winnie turned the diving watch on her wrist and said expectantly: "Are there any surprises underwater?"

"You'll know if you go down and take a look." Qin Shiou blinked his eyes mysteriously, then bit his oxygen tube and jumped into the water. (To be continued)
