Chapter 34 Ramon (1)(1/2)
The doctor Willow mentioned was quickly brought up.
Thales carefully observed the strange man in front of him.
He must be in his fifties, almost bald, but his appearance is extremely prominent, with a huge nose on his narrow face, dark green eyes that move flexibly, and an ugly smile, which makes him look weird and uncomfortable.
"You must be the new prince," said the strange-looking old man, who was wearing a yellow leather jacket and was a little dirty from being rubbed in the dungeon. He smelled of strange potions. He smiled inexplicably and bowed slightly.
: "My name is Ramon."
"He's a doctor."
Thales frowned.
He waved his hand and signaled Wyatt to close the door of the barracks left behind by the escorting soldiers.
"Do you know who I am?"
Ramon stretched his head forward weirdly, nodding lightly from time to time, and with the smile that seemed to be frozen on his face, he looked like a juggler:
"Hey, news always spreads quickly, faster than you think...especially the soldiers around you are talking about your name."
Putilai took a step forward and said slowly: "Very good, there is a person here who needs medical treatment. If you are a doctor..."
He looked at Jorah.
Ramon smiled strangely and stretched his head to glance in Jorah's direction.
"I can give it a try, but I can't guarantee it." He walked towards Jorah, but suddenly turned back, his eyes protruding, staring at Thales strangely: "I heard that Your Highness is going north to Exeter?"
Wyatt and Rolf frowned.
Thales nodded.
This old man.
A little strange.
Also a little weird.
But he is a doctor after all.
"Well," Ramon walked slowly to Jorah's side, seeming to be thinking deeply about something: "It's a nice journey... Exeter."
The weird doctor carefully observed Jorah, who was shaking slightly and turning pale.
"Ah, a brave warrior... and a super swordsman with the power of termination." Ramon raised Jorah's weak arm, his eyes flashing.
"I have a bad habit of swinging my sword..."
"I prefer slashing and sword fighting face to face..."
"The right upper arm and back muscles will probably start to hurt after the age of sixty..."
Under the surprised looks of Wyatt and Rolf, he slowly took off Jorah's bandage.
"Cuts and lacerations, chest and back."
"I didn't deal with the injury immediately. I don't know if it was an emergency or if I didn't realize it..."
"Thank you for enduring it for so long..."
"This kind of wound, if I close my eyes, I can recognize it as a vampire's claws..."
Thales looked stern.
This doctor.
There seems to be some way?
"Moderate blood loss, physical weakness."
"The key is that the two wounds were not treated properly and festered a bit..."
"If we don't deal with it right away, I guess he can still hold on for one day? One night? Hehe..."
Ramon turned his head, clicked his tongue twice, looked at Thales, and smiled without saying a word.
"What's wrong," Putilai asked slowly, "Can you save him?"
"hey-hey."
Ramon stared at Thales with a thoughtful look.
"Most doctors are probably helpless at this time."
Thales frowned.
"They can only rely on luck and wait for the swordsman to recover or die." He took a breath of hot breath and said slowly.
Everyone frowned slightly.
"Wait a minute," Putilai said silently: "You said, most of them?"
Ramon just laughed.
Thales raised his hand, signaling to Putilai that he would ask questions.
The second prince looked at Ramon seriously and asked: "You mean, you can save him?"
Ramon blinked his right eye and twitched his nose strangely:
"I didn't say that."
"But I can give it a try, use some potion, treat the wound, and cut off the rotten flesh... As for the chance of successfully saving him..."
Putilai beside Thales frowned.
Ramon smiled weirdly again: "Depends on the reward, you know, the reward."
Thales raised his eyebrows.
"You will get the reward you deserve." Thales added without changing his face: "Enough reward - guaranteed by the reputation of the royal family."
It's not his money anyway.
"Haha, you misunderstood," Ramon put down the dying Jorah, his eyes shining:
"I only ask for one thing," he narrowed his eyes and looked at Thales carefully: "I'm fed up with the dungeon here..."
He tried his best to show a friendly smile and said: "When His Royal Highness goes north to Exeter."
"Please take me with you."
There was silence in the barracks for a moment.
Thales looked at Jorah who looked gloomy on the bed and gently clenched his fists.
Take him away?
"You know I have no right to let you go," Thales suppressed the discomfort in his heart: "I am not the commander here."
Doctor Ramon bared his upper teeth and sneered slyly: "But your father... is the commander of the commander of the commander here, isn't he?"
"And instead of letting me go, you put me under your custody..."
"Absurd." Huaiya snorted softly: "Are you negotiating terms with His Highness?"
"It's just a request," Ramon clasped his hands and said with a smile: "If I can get the answer, I will probably do my best to diagnose and treat this seriously injured and dying gentleman?"
"No," Thales stared at him with a grim expression: "You not only want to negotiate terms, you are also threatening me."
"Besides, you are desperate to save someone...are you really a doctor?"
"How dare you?" Ramon spread his hands, showing his mottled and yellowed teeth: "I mean, even a doctor can only try his best to save him... If he fails, His Highness can throw me back into the dungeon.
, or even cause me some trouble..."
"Of course, if he is lucky enough to be rescued by me... I just need some kindness from you to take me out of the dungeon..."
"And the one on the bed looked miserable..."
"Just take me for a ride..."
"You have a lot of conditions." Huaiya took a step forward and said coldly.
"I just made a suggestion," Ramon said with a smile: "Whether you accept it or not depends entirely on His Highness."
"What if I say no?" Thales said silently: "If I don't agree to let you out of the dungeon or take you away, will you refuse to treat him?"
Ramon chuckled: "Of course not..."
But a cold light flashed in the doctor's eyes.
"Haha... But you know, my medical skills are actually very hit and miss..."
"Haha...if the cure cannot be cured, you can't blame me...haha..."
"What a pity for such a brave soldier. Alas...it looks like he was blocking it for his comrades..."
Putilai's expression changed.
"You're bargaining with the prince of the stars," he snorted. "That's disrespectful."
"How dare you," Ramon shook his head: "I just believe in the kindness and wisdom of His Highness the Prince."
To be continued...
