1767 Chaos in Budapest 1

"We have made all the preparations, enough troops, weapons and unified will. Now is the time to clear the garbage entrenched in the Frenz and Anjolfeld!" In the Hungarian Parliament building in the city of Leopold in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, the voice of Earl Obernie resounded through the venue.

Count Obernie sat in the position that should have belonged to Hungarian Prime Minister Tysa. The former Hungarian Prime Minister left Hungary's power center because of his "severe illness". Now, this place has become the base camp of Hungarian aristocrats and the big bourgeoisie.

In this conference room, almost all the influential nobles of Hungary were gathered, including the Earl of Andrashi, the Earl of Baitren Eastwan, the Earl of Siglauy Andorr, the leader of the Orthodox, as well as the famous Hungarian rich man Clauus Simon, Baron Urmon Adolph, and a large number of nobles and their supporters who came from all over Hungary. Here, after a long period of preparation, they finally planned to attack the bourgeois radical factions!

"Then now, we will invite General Casici Geisa, the military commander-in-chief of this operation, to introduce the plan of this operation!" Earl Obernie said, and amid the applause and cheers, Casici, the former commander-in-chief of the Budapest City Defense Force, came to the podium, and the personnel next to him had already unveiled a huge map for him, which was a map of the entire Budapest.

"The areas we currently control are mainly Leopold, Theresa and Noble areas in Budapest, while our enemies are currently in the slums and industrial areas in Budapest, such as Frenz and Anjolfeld. So far, we have formed a siege of rebels in these two areas and have controlled more than 70% of the roads to Budapest. We have concentrated more than 30,000 troops, and at the same time, at least 40,000 armed personnel are advancing towards Budapest. We have a large amount of artillery and ammunition, and we can razed a block to the ground with just one volley!"

"What about our opponents? According to the exact information, they were armed with less than 8,000 people, and had no reliable sources of weapons. They could only use the waste that was not known to be drawn out of the garbage dump to arm themselves. They were dressed in decent yellow and thin and shy in the dark corner waiting for the arrival of death. I can guarantee that we can celebrate our victory tomorrow at noon, and in the evening Hungary will reunite, because we have sent these dissidents to hell!"

Casic said with confidence, and then, applause and cheers like a tide echoed throughout the audience in an instant. This also kicked off the riots in the Budapest. The nobles in the parliament were imagining their future, but they did not care about the ordinary people under the military forces of both sides. In their opinion, such "untouchables" would be as much as possible, like weeds. One batch will be cut off and another will soon be! The rule of the nobles in Hungary will last forever!

"So what are we waiting for? Let us purify these dregs immediately! They all survive in the world for a second, which is a blasphemy to the world!" A voice sounded in the venue.

"We have started to act now! It won't take long to hear the sound of gunfire. If we are in a better position, it would be a very pleasant thing to witness the defeat of the rebel party!" Earl Oboni said with a smile.

At this time, as Casici said, a team of loyal troops had begun to enter the slums and industrial areas of Budapest, preparing to launch a surprise attack using the cover of night. In fact, if anyone understands military affairs, he should ask why the noble army had to launch street fighting at night without the advantage of absolute military strength and firepower? According to common sense, night would greatly weaken the advantage of the attacking party, so wouldn't it be better to launch an attack during the day?

There is only one reason for this situation, that is, the nobles' army is not as powerful as the commander-in-chief of the Budapest City Defense Force just said!

In terms of total force, Cassisi's army does have 30,000 people, and they do have a certain number of rapid-fire guns and 105mm howitzers produced by Skoda. However, they are far from reaching the level of being able to defeat the enemy by relying on firepower. Now, the entire Cassisi's "National Protection Army" has only 56 artillery pieces of caliber of more than 75mm, and its firepower is far less than that of a German division. Among the so-called 30,000 troops, there are only about 10,000 officers and soldiers who have actually been on the battlefield. The remaining 20,000 people are either reserves or "temporary recruitment". Especially the latter, if it is to say it is a group of villains and thugs for money. It is obviously impossible to expect them to fight a tough battle!

If the 30,000 troops were sloppy, then the so-called 40,000 "reinforcements" would be a bit too high. To be honest, even Earl Oboni and Cassichi themselves did not know how many nobles would "bring their own dry food" to help in the next two weeks. That's right, it's "bringing their own dry food"! The current Hungarian treasury is almost empty, and some granaries can even starve to death... At this time, all Earl Oboni could do was to promise some benefits first, so that some nobles could organize their own paramilitary organizations to suppress the bourgeois radicals.

In addition to the fact that the troops were not very "reliable", the huge consumption also made Earl Oboni and others unable to bear it. You should know that the more than 30,000 troops that participated in the war this time were all supported by them. There were about 2 divisions of 30,000. During history, Bavaria only supported 100,000 troops with the size of a kingdom. Although the Hungarian division was not even a third-rate in Germany, the huge consumption was still unbearable for the nobles. So, in desperation, they decided to launch an offensive as soon as possible. Not long ago, they had just received information from the "inside" and obtained specific defense maps about the radicals. Therefore, it was better to choose a day than to hit the day. Tonight, the nobles launched a long-planned offensive!

Under the dark night, thousands of soldiers were walking through the narrow streets of the slums in Budapest under the scolding of officers. They moved forward carefully. Their comparisons were made with the map and the information they had obtained. As time went by, the tension before the war had gradually been diluted by the initial smoothness. The attacking party was surprised to find that in the first half hour, they were not blocked or intercepted! This made their confidence multiply!
