Chapter 682 Roaring confrontation America's future

"You're back, Tony Stark! What do you want to do this time?"

Sitting behind the desk, holding a pair of small scissors and cigar-cutting cigarette butts. General Ross stared at Tony and Bruce who were rushing into the door, and asked them with interest.

"General Ross, don't you know what you did yourself?" It was completely straightforward. Tony pressed himself on his desk as soon as he came in and said to General Ross in a very oppressive manner. "You have created terrible war machines, machines that can change the current rules of the battlefield. Can I ask, what do you want to do?"

"I thought I had answered this question to you last time." Looking at Tony and Bruce with a smile, General Ross stopped the action in his hand. "I can repeat it to you again, and the last time."

"What I want is the return of this country to its peace and prosperity, and what I want is that all those who threaten the stability and unity of this country are sanctioned and judged. I said, at all costs, right? I should have said these words."

"That's the reason why you made these war machines?" He slapped the table hard, and Tony couldn't help but the flames of anger in his heart and shouted at him. "If it was to heal this country and to restore peace to this country, then this thing should never be used to achieve your goal. You are provoking wars, General Ross. Don't tell me that you made this thing just to deal with that city. Do you dare to touch your conscience and say that you will not use them in foreign wars?"

"I can't promise. And, why do I have to promise?"

Tony's questioning made General Ross's face colder. He looked at Tony who was furious at him and suddenly smiled contemptuously.

"Do you know, Tony Stark. I think the stupid look you are now ridiculous. Before all this, before the so-called superheroes rage in this country, what is our country like, do you remember?"

"If you don't remember, I remember it clearly. We are the most powerful country in the world and the overlords above the world. Our fleet lies across the oceans, and our military bases can radiate to every corner of every country. And our people can walk on any country in the world with their heads held high."

"But now! How are we now?"

The smile suddenly became calm, replaced by an angry roar.

"Look at what our country is now. We have lost our most prosperous and symbolic city. Our government and even the army have been criticized and severely hit. The most terrible thing is that now even our territory is about to be divided from this country. Is this still the United States? Is this still the prosperous and powerful United States? Tell me your answer, Stark!"

General Ross' anger made him look like an angry lion. But Tony was no less than that. When it comes to the anger in his heart, he was not inferior to this patriot at all. So at this moment, he was almost exactly the same as him.

"This is the result of your own deeds, and this is also my country, the country of superheroes. Do you think we want to see this country become like this? We also want it to become better and stronger. But because of you, because of your stupidity and arrogance, this country becomes what it is now."

"If you hadn't foolishly dropped the nuclear bomb, if you hadn't been so wary of the superhumans with power. If you hadn't been infiltrated that even the Vice President was a spy installed by others, how could we have become like this? It's all your fault, Ross. It's all your fault, you're so arrogant politicians. Until now, you haven't realized your mistake. Do you really want to bring this country into the abyss that will never be restored?"

"The Abyss of Absoluteness?" Hearing this adjective, General Ross sneered again. He stared at Tony in front of him, as if he was staring at a drama actor who was performing desperately on the stage. "Why, do you see yourself as a savior? Tony Stark, I tell you, you have never been a hero, and you have no ability to save anyone. If you want to save this country, then have you ever thought that this country does not need your salvation at all."

"The prosperity and strength of the country are not something you funny clowns can support. What he needs is a powerful army and strength, which we have had before, and now we will have them again. Although you don't know what you learned about the Titan machine from, do you think you can stop us from using this weapon? I tell you, this is simply impossible because it is the will of this country."

"This country is reborn by itself. He is clearing the parasites on itself and climbing back to the steps that he has stood on the past. You superheroes, those mutants, and the so-called gods are all stumbling blocks in front of him. And we, as soldiers of this country, have the only purpose of existence to clear you and clear a smooth road for his rise and rebirth. You cannot stop us. If you really dare to stand opposite us, no matter who you are, you will have the only end to pieces. Do you understand? Tony Stark."

It was not the first time General Ross, who said such words to Tony, repeated what he had said again. This time, he was not admonished, but full of threats and warnings. When he heard such words, Tony not only was not intimidated by him, but also had a hint of hostility.

"I said that I would never sit idly by such things. If you really want to provoke a war, then I will definitely stop you. No matter what kind of hell you have built, I swear I will destroy them completely. All your damn ambitions and arrogance will be lost."

"Do you know what you are talking about? Stark?" He slapped the table hard, and General Ross suddenly stood up. "Do you know how much resources this country has spent to build these things? Do you know what it means if you destroy them? We blocked the future of this country on these war machines, and now you actually told me that you are destroying them! You are destroying the future of this country."

"Listen, Stark. If you dare to do this, then I promise that no matter where you are, under whom you are, I will definitely catch you, put it in a military court, and shoot you in front of countless people. Isn't this a joke with you, I have always done what I mean, do you understand what I mean?"

Hearing this, Tony suddenly fell silent. Of course, he was not silent because of General Ross' threat, but because of the things he had said before. If the US government really bets on these Titan machines, including the future, then destroying them is no longer as easy as saying.

Just like several large fleets of the United States stationed in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, if they are destroyed like this, it is equivalent to a fatal blow to the United States. Because these fleets are not just weapons and equipment, they mean countless huge losses in capital, politics and even military. It can be imagined that once they disappear, there will be huge uncontrollable changes in the pattern of the entire world.

The same as the United States' arm that controls the world is completely cut off, and its position on the world mountain will plummet. The financial crisis, political changes and even international pressure that follows may cause the country to fall directly into a slump and become a tragic object under the knife of others and be slaughtered by others.

This is by no means alarmist or random thoughts. After all, he was once a member of the arms world. For these things, Tony could soon come up with a rough result. It was this result that made him start to be timid.

He neither hoped that these damn politicians and crazy patriots would cause war in this world, nor could he watch the future and destiny of this country be devastated with the destruction of those huge machines. He is a superhero and a deep patriot. These two identities that should have complemented each other suddenly became opposite at this moment, and it was this opposition that made him fall into blind irritability and entanglement in his heart.

What should I do? What should I do? My breathing began to be rapid, my eyes began to fluster, and my mind was full of such problems. Tony felt like he was about to be driven crazy.

And his changes were soon noticed by Bruce around him, so he immediately asked with concern.

"What's wrong with you, Tony?"

Shaking his hand, he signaled to Bruce that his current situation was not a problem. Tony once again opened his mouth to General Ross, who was hard and stubborn in front of him.

"Are you so unwilling to admit defeat? General Ross, don't you understand? The world has changed. Doing like you will only destroy the United States. Stop, and only then can we save the United States."

"Stop? That's impossible."

Looking at Tony who was suffering from entanglement in front of him, General Ross suddenly laughed.

"It is like a round stone rolling down from the top of a mountain. This kind of thing cannot stop. Even if we die, he cannot stop it. This country will be reborn in our hands, and no one can stop us. If so, Tony Stark, then they are the sinners of this country and the culprits of destroying this country. And you will be the accomplices at that time, do you understand?"
