Chapter 114 New Case(1/2)

In the previous chapter, maybe I expressed it incorrectly and the motorcycle was not recovered.

Luke was embarrassed to say that the car was stolen, so he said he would send it for maintenance.

Detective Bureau.

After three days of rest,

Luke drove his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz G500 to work.

It didn't attract much attention, as most people had already entered the office at this time.

Nine o'clock.

Luke entered the office on time.

David said, "You are really good, you can run for three days at a time."

Luke thought to himself, it doesn't matter, it's not impossible to spend four days and five days in the future.

Through the last contact with Director Red, he felt that Director Red was still very talkative.

As long as you have the ability, it's not a big deal to rest for a few more days.

He was the one who approved these three days of leave, which was much more enjoyable than Susan's.

At nine-five, Susan called everyone to the conference room for a meeting on time.

At the beginning of the meeting, Susan talked about the progress of the immigration case. The files and evidence had been almost sorted out.

Then, Susan looked at Luke and said, "As everyone knows, Luke has been promoted to detective.

I need to make some adjustments in terms of personnel.

Luke, Marcus, you two will be partners from today on."

Luke was a little surprised, and Xiao Hei opened his mouth wide, "Why? Am I not with the deputy team?"

Susan asked back, "The deputy team is not on duty? Are you staying in the office all the time?"

Xiao Hei was a little reluctant, "Is it appropriate for me and Luke to be together?"

"I don't think it's appropriate either." Luke thought to himself, with your IQ, you still dare to dislike me?

"Marcus, are you serious?" Susan's serious face became even colder.

"Yes." Xiao Hei held on.

"Good, then you will team up with David."

"No!" Xiao Hei reacted even more fiercely, "Captain, I am willing to team up with Luke."

Luke refused, "I don't want him."

"Stop, shut up." Susan became a little impatient, "Marcus, I'll give you all morning.

If Luke disagrees, just follow David.

The meeting is dismissed."

David stood up and patted Xiao Hei on the shoulder, "My trunk will always be reserved for you."

Xiao Hei looked pitifully at Luke across the conference table, as if to say, Brother, please accept me.

Xiao Hei hunkered down, serving tea and water, for fear that Luke would really not partner with him.

Although Luke is not a good guy, David is even better.

In order to make his life easier in the future, Xiao Hei knew exactly what to choose.

Luke took the coffee and didn't bother him anymore. Although Xiao Hei was unreliable, he had a high affinity and could get along well with anyone.

"Really want to follow me?"

"Of course, I want to learn my skills from you. You have been responsible for solving these crimes recently. I have wanted to ask you for advice for a long time."

"Ahem." The deputy captain coughed and gave Xiao Hei a look to let him understand.

Luke said, "It's not impossible to follow me. Let's make an agreement and listen to me from now on."

"Yes. Detective." Xiao Hei put his posture straight.

"Bring your equipment and let's go out for a walk."

"Where to go?"

"Looking for my beloved little motorcycle."

"The patrol hasn't found it yet?"

Luke nodded, "They haven't heard from them yet. If we wait any longer, my Harley will probably be dismantled and sold for parts."

"What a bunch of unreliable guys."

"Yeah, just like you."

Outside Los Angeles.

Open air photo studio.

Assistant director Crapo Shino was inspecting the studio to prepare for today's shooting.

"You guys, please clean up the place where we had the party last night. Don't leave any garbage behind for filming."

"Inform the actors and prepare to shoot as soon as the director arrives."

The assistant director gave instructions as he walked to last night's filming site. When he saw that the big hole in the middle of last night's filming site had been filled in, he cursed, "Which idiot filled the hole in his spare time? We still have to reshoot today."

This is a big plot, are you all idiots?"

The manager ran over and said, "Director, I didn't ask anyone to fill the hole, and I don't know which bastard did it."

"Then let someone dig it up quickly. If you can't restore it to yesterday's appearance before the director comes, you can get out."

The field manager turned around and shouted to several crew members, "Hey, you guys, that's right, it's you guys who quickly dug up the big hole for the filming with shovels.

A group of people took shovels and started digging a hole.

The soil is newly filled and not compacted, so it is easier to dig.

Even so, several big men dug for nearly twenty minutes.

"Hey, I think I dug something."

"What's this?"

A white man scraped away the soil with a shovel, "Fuck, why does it look like a doll? What idiot buried the filming props in the hole?"

Another black man laughed and said, "Is it inflatable? Haha..."

The white man poked with a shovel, "There's something wrong...fuck, this is a real person!"

The white man threw away his shovel and ran out of the pit in fear.

The black man was also beaten down and crawled out of the pit.

Ten minutes later, nearby patrol police arrived to maintain order and cordoned off the shooting scene.

A black policewoman with short hair and a white middle-aged male policeman were in charge of guarding.

The white male policeman glanced around and said curiously, "Wow, even though I grew up in Los Angeles, this is my first time entering the set. I heard that the person who died just now was Lucas. I particularly like his special character.

Have you seen Zhan Xiongfeng?"

The black policewoman with short hair glanced at her and said nothing.

"I thought I saw Director Baker just now. Although he is not very famous, he has made some good quality detective movies. I remember one of them was about..."

The black policewoman with short hair interrupted his soliloquy and said, "Shut up, rookie."

"OK." The middle-aged white policeman responded weakly.

After a while, the middle-aged white policeman muttered again, "I respect you, but I think you are too serious."

The black policewoman with short hair glanced at him and said, "You will be grateful to me for my seriousness in the future."

The white police officer shrugged, "Can you smile?"

"I'm worried I'll scare the piss out of you."

"Are you usually this strong?"

"Is there a problem?"

"Wouldn't your husband feel depressed?"

"I don't know, and I don't care. My happiness is the most important thing."

"I mean, will it affect my normal life... I might not be used to a woman who is too strong..."
