Chapter 362 Surfaced(1/2)

Robbery and Murder Division Interrogation Room.

A Latino man of 17 or 18 years old was handcuffed on the interrogation chair. His face looked blank and there was no expression on it.

"Creak..." There was a sound from the door.

Luke walked into the interrogation room and put a pile of information on the table, "I didn't expect that we would meet here. How do you feel?"

"To me it's no different than a jiu-jitsu club."

Luke asked back, "Are you unhappy in the jiu-jitsu club?"

Christian didn't answer.

"OK, the old memories are over, let's talk about something valuable." Luke changed the subject, "What's your full name?"

"Christian Sodi."

"You know, that's not what I'm asking about."

"Carlos Sodi."

"You are Kuca Saldana's upline?"

"Yes."

"What organization do you belong to?"

"We don't belong to any organization."

"But Kuka said you belong to an organization called Posta."

Carlos Sodi smiled, "Impossible, Kuka would never say that."

"Don't be so confident. Many suspects are very tough before being arrested, but they have a different attitude after being arrested.

If it hadn't been for Kuka's identification, we wouldn't have suspected you."

Carlos Sodi shook his head, "You don't have to lie to me, Kuca will never dare to betray me.

So I'm curious, how did you find out there was something wrong with me."

Luke said firmly, "Kuka said it.

He is not as trustworthy as he thought."

Carlos Sodi was a little shaken by Luke's attitude and said nothing more.

Luke continued, "Did you send the message asking Kukka to come to the hospital this morning?"

"Yes."

"do what?"

Carlos Sodi thought for a while and replied, "At that time, there were police guards outside our ward. They worked in pairs and were very vigilant.

Moreover, I was not sure if there were other police officers secretly there, so I called Kuka to help me escape from the hospital. Natasha was killed, and I was worried that I was about to be exposed."

Luke asked, "In the afternoon, we changed the ward for you. Why didn't you send an email to Kuka at that time? Tell him about this and instead asked him to go to ward 509 and surrender himself."

"When you offered to change my ward, I felt like something was wrong.

I did think about sending an email to Kuka, but considering the risks involved, I gave up."

Luke asked with interest, "What's the risk?"

Carlos Sodi replied, "I sent an email to Cuca in the morning, asking him to come to Ward 509.

You changed my ward in the afternoon. The first thing I thought of was that Kuka was arrested. You found the email and suspected that there was an undercover agent in the hospital. Changing my ward was a trap in itself.

If I send another email, you will most likely be able to identify me.

Second point, even if Kuka was not arrested at the time and was arrested afterwards, through two precise emails, you will still doubt my identity.

Therefore, I did not inform Kukka. Even if Kukka was caught, he would not accuse me, and you would not doubt me.

Once you catch Kuka, you will relax your vigilance and it will be easier for me to escape from the hospital."

Luke said, "You are quite cold-blooded."

"If not, I would have died long ago and wouldn't even have the chance to come to Los Angeles.

To be honest, I quite like this city."

Luke probed, "So do you like Natasha?"

"Huh..." Carlos Sodi sighed softly, "I don't know how to answer you.

She is a good person and treats me very well.

But...she has no idea how terrifying her opponent is."

"Are you considered her opponent?"

"That's right."

"Did you kill her?"

"No, her death has nothing to do with me.

I had so many ways to kill her, why did I make such a big noise and even injured myself and was trapped in the hospital.

Only a fool would do this." Speaking of this, Carlos Sodi had a complicated look on his face, "Actually, I'm also struggling, what if one day I have to kill Natasha?

I may not be able to do it.

But I have to do it.

It's fine now, I don't have to worry anymore, and everyone is relieved."

Luke asked, "You think this is a relief?"

"Yes, both I and Natasha are very tired from life."

"That's not what a young man would say."

"This is true."

"Did you have someone stop the police car?"

"No."

"Did anyone send anyone to Natasha's house to steal it?"

"Do I need it?"

"Why did you kidnap Parry Jones?"

"She is also investigating the smuggling matter. She has been seeing Natasha a lot recently. I don't know how much information she has. I'm just eliminating danger."

"Removing danger for whom?"

"I only confessed my crime and didn't know anything else."

"Do you think this confession can convince the police and prosecutors?"

"That's your business."

"If you have this attitude, it will be difficult to get a favorable plea deal."

"Captain Li, this is my best attitude. I'll tell you everything I can say."

"Is that organization that scary?"

"Scarier than you thought?"

Luke smiled, "Is there really nothing that scares me in Los Angeles? I haven't heard of how powerful criminal organizations are in Los Angeles."

"You're right, but what if it's not in Los Angeles?

You are not afraid, I am."

Luke settled for the next best thing, "If you don't want to talk about the organization, then talk about your upline.

what is his name?"

"I don't know his name."

"How to contact?"

"Usually we contact each other in person, but we haven't contacted each other for a long time."

"Look, if you want to get a favorable plea deal, tell me something of value.

No matter how terrible the organization behind you is.

This is Los Angeles and it doesn’t matter what they say.”

Carlos Sodi thought for a while and said, "Gonsed, Natasha has been investigating this organization recently, and her death may be related to this organization."

Luke wrote down the word 'Gunside' and continued, "Why do you stay with Natasha?

If it is to kill her, there is no need to go to such trouble."

Carlos Sodi shrugged, "I like it."

"This reason doesn't convince me."

Luke leaned back in his chair and felt a little depressed. He hated interrogating these gang members. These people took the gang rules more seriously than the law, and the interrogation was like scratching an itch.

"Dong dong..."

At this moment, the door outside the office rang.

Jenny opened the door and walked in, whispering to Luke, "Captain, the FBI people are here, and they are going to take away Carlos Sodi."

Luke said to Jenny, "Repeat what you just said, louder."

Jenny understood what Luke meant and said to Carlos Sodi, "The FBI people are here and they are going to take you away."

Carlos Sodi's face changed slightly and he asked, "Are you trying to scare me?"
