Chapter 64 Family Day(1/2)
American prosecutors have great power and can decide on prosecutions and charge transactions.
It is mainly up to the prosecutor to decide what crime to charge Dave with and whether an agreement can be reached.
It would be in Dave's interest to speak directly to the prosecutor.
Although the deputy team member was depressed, he also knew that there was no way to fool Dave.
The will case has been investigated, but both the victim Tony and the murderer Cole Baker used false identities. If Tony's true identity can be learned from Dave, it will be of great help in catching Cole Baker.
It is Susan and the prosecutor who can really decide the charge deal.
Luke had no say in this issue, so he simply asked for leave to rest.
He wanted to ask Daisy out to have some romance, and he had already decided on a place to play.
Now the only question left is whether Daisy has time.
After get off work, Luke was going to the bar for a drink. On the way, he received a call from his mother, asking him to go home for dinner.
Luke rides his Harley back to the Inno community.
When I first started riding a Harley, I felt very cool.
It just feels like that after a long time. It's nice to ride out for fun occasionally, but as a means of transportation to and from get off work, a car is more comfortable.
Apart from anything else, rainy days are a problem and very inconvenient.
When he gets rich, he plans to buy another car and drive it instead.
Of course, I can only think about it now.
Entering the community road, Luke slowed down. There were many people surrounding the roadside in the distance, and it seemed that some students were fighting.
Luke glanced around and spotted a familiar figure.
Two students were fighting, one was a burly white boy, and the other was a fat black-haired boy.
The white boy looked to be thirteen or fourteen years old, and his height was already close to that of an adult. He was in a boxing stance and said, "You fat, stupid waste, if you come near Maggie again, I will beat you up."
The right cheek of the fat black-haired man was slightly red and swollen, as if he had been punched. He had an angry look on his face and red eye circles.
There were many people watching the excitement around and making noises.
"Andrew, this fat man is going to cry if you beat him."
"Why are you still stunned? Do you want to fight or not?"
"Jack, don't be afraid, come on."
…
The white boy waved to the fat man and said provocatively, "come on baby."
The little fat man said angrily, "Andrew, you are the rubbish. Maggie doesn't like rubbish."
"You're dead." The white boy rushed up and punched the little fat man again.
The two fought together.
At first, there was a bit of a boxing posture, but later it was just a random punching and beating.
The white boy took advantage of his physical advantage and knocked the fat man to the ground, pressed him on him, and punched him with his fists.
"boom!"
The fist hit the black helmet.
"Ah!" the white boy shouted in pain.
The little fat man pushed the white boy away.
The two were angry and wanted to continue fighting, but were stopped by a tall black-haired young man.
"Stop! Whoever makes a move, I will beat him." Luke pushed the two of them away.
Luke is 1.85 meters tall. He exercises regularly and has obvious muscle outlines. His strength is far beyond that of two and a half young men.
The white boy shouted, "This is a matter between me and him, and you don't need to worry about it."
Luke smiled, "I'll take care of it."
The white boy looked at Luke, then at Jack, and said with a smile, "Oh, I understand. Jack, you are such a coward that you don't dare to challenge me alone, and you actually asked for help."
The little fat man retorted, "Shut up, I didn't ask anyone for help."
"I don't want to deal with your conflicts.
But as Jack’s brother, I have the obligation to break up the fight. If you still want to fight, change the place next time.”
The white boy pointed at the little fat man and said, "You'd better stay away from Maggie."
Jack gave him a middle finger and said, "It's none of your business."
"You stupid pig!" The white boy glared at Luke, picked up his clothes from the ground and left.
Luke glanced at the crowd watching the excitement, "What are you still doing here? Does anyone want to fight with me?"
Everyone dispersed playfully, leaving only the two Luke brothers.
Luke turned to look at his brother, "Is the injury serious?"
"I'm fine." The little fat man was a little depressed.
Luke got on the Harley and said, "Come up."
The little fat man sighed and sat in the back seat dejectedly.
Luke started the Harley and returned home quickly.
The car was parked in the yard, and the two did not enter the house immediately.
Luke took out a cigarette and lit it, "Why are we fighting?"
The little fat man rubbed his cheek and grinned in pain, "That bastard is harassing my girlfriend?"
"Maggie?"
"Yes, as a boyfriend, I have to stand up."
"He was the one who beat me last time?"
Jack didn't answer.
Luke didn't ask much. He was in his youthful years.
After smoking, I went into the house.
"Hi, dear Ms. Linda, I'm back." Luke walked into the living room and saw his mother cooking, "Do you want my help?"
"Your brother hasn't come back yet. I can't spare any time, so please make a call."
"He's back, at the doorstep."
"Why don't you come in? There seems to be no exams recently."
"You'd better ask him yourself."
"You come to cook." Linda took off her apron and threw it aside, "Jack, you come in."
Luke washed his hands and continued chopping vegetables.
The little fat man walked in with his head lowered.
"Tell me, what did you do again?" Linda's tone was mixed with anger.
The little fat man slowly raised his head.
"Wow, what happened to your face? Why are you injured again? Does it matter?" The anger in Linda's tone turned into concern and distress.
"I'm fine, I just had a fight."
"Did you fight again? Why?"
"Uh... there was a classmate who didn't like me. We had a few arguments and then started fighting."
"I always thought you were different from Luke..." Linda turned to the bedroom and took out a medicine box from the closet, "Come here, I will give you medicine."
Linda applied the potion and asked, "Why?"
"nothing."
"Jack, I know you have grown up and are no longer willing to talk to me. If this is the case, I can only call your father and ask him to discipline you."
Luke's parents are divorced.
The father has been paying alimony and child support, and the relationship between the two parties is not bad.
"I'm already embarrassed enough. If you call dad here for something like this, I'll be even more embarrassed."
"You were injured and you didn't listen to me. Your father has the right to know your situation. I have no reason to hide it from him."
"Do you think I want to fight? He provoked me. I'm already annoyed enough. Can you stop causing more trouble?" The little fat man's voice was choked and he went upstairs crying.
"Bang!" The door closed with a sound.
