Chapter 5 2006~2007 Season Tour

The NCAA will not start until November, and basically school recruitment will end in June and July.
In other words, there will be three or four months left in between.
These times are preparation and training times for major universities.
You must know that the NCAA is different from the NBA. Talented newcomers will leave the team in the draft in June, while experienced seniors will either participate in the draft or leave school, which means there is a change of blood every year.
These three or four months seem like a lot of time, but they are very stressful for major universities.
The University of Texas also had a full training schedule before the semester started.
Their training content mainly focuses on basic training and physical training, supplemented by some basic tactical training.
Barnes' chicken soup level is very high, but his tactics are relatively weak.
So during normal team training, Springman is in charge.
Strength and conditioning coach McGee Wright also started his work.
The two key figures he is responsible for this year are Pittman and Durant.
Of these two people, one was too fat, while the other was obviously too thin.
It was during this training process that Wright allowed not only the two of them, but everyone on the Longhorns team to experience what it meant to be harsh.
Especially for Pittman, he is required to get up at 5:30 every morning for training, and every meal must be evaluated by Wright. If Wright feels it is not suitable, it must be changed.
Previously, Barnes was known as "Angry Rick" among players, while Wright was nicknamed "Crazy McGee."
Within a few days, Pittman was complaining endlessly.
There are only two reasons why people become fat: laziness and inability to control one's mouth.
Wright's plan can be said to hit the mark.
After a week of persistence, Pittman gave up.
Then, Wright ran to his dormitory, kicked him off the bed, and scolded him until he cried.
The Longhorns players were all on the same floor, and they all rushed over after hearing the news.
Durant went to comfort Pittman and made a promise to Pittman.
"From today on, every day in college, I will get up early with you to participate in training."
Just like Lin Ying, Durant is not paying special attention to anyone, but his team concept.
Pittman is a part of the team and he won't give up, especially now that he is the team captain.
"If you succeed, you will become an idol for all of us."
Augustine also followed suit.
Lin Ying was inexplicably touched because he really felt the existence of a "team" in this team.
By some strange coincidence, he also said:
"It's all-American."
Fat people are all potential stocks, not to mention that Pittman's base is so big. Losing more than ten kilograms is inspirational. If he loses dozens of kilograms, he will definitely become a national sensation like he said.
There was nothing wrong with the answer, but after he finished it, Durant turned around and looked at him with a very surprised look.
Under the comfort of everyone, Pittman's mood was soothed and he promised to continue Wright's plan.
On the way back to the dormitory, Durant bumped into Lin Ying with a smile, making Lin Ying look confused.
"Didn't you notice?"
Durant said with a smile.
Lin Ying shook his head, what did he notice?
"I feel now that we came to the University of Texas at the right time."
Durant continued.
The reason why he didn't go to North Carolina in the first place was that besides Springman and those connections, another very important reason was Lin Ying.
Although he is very different in personality, he doesn't have many good friends. Apart from Beasley, he is Lin Ying.
With Lin Ying's ability, it is unrealistic to go to North Carolina.
And what he just said was actually a change that Lin Ying himself might not have noticed.
In the past, it was impossible for Lin Ying to speak in that situation.

Durant is the kind of person who does what he says. Throughout the following summer, he would get up at 5:30 in the morning every day and then ask Pittman to get up for training.
At first, Pitman was too embarrassed to give up even if he wanted to. Later, he gradually got used to it.
This process is actually the development of self-discipline.
No matter what you do, if someone is there to urge you, you will get twice the result with half the effort.
But they were not just two people, but also Lin Ying.
Lin Ying has participated in "suicide training" before. In terms of self-discipline, he is the highest in the team.
Therefore, no matter how hot the summer in Austin is, every morning and sunset, there are always three people who are the first to sweat in the gym and the last to close the door of the training hall.
They gradually enjoyed the fun so much that if it weren't for the school's regulations, they might have spent the night in the gym.
The sun rises and sets, summer passes and autumn comes.
In the blink of an eye, the time has come to early November.
Pittman lost a lot of weight, from 388 pounds when he first joined the team to 356 pounds!
He successfully lost 30 pounds, nearly 14 kilograms!
"Keep it up, you will definitely become an American idol!"
Durant said from the bottom of his heart after seeing Pittman's results.
This sentence was originally said by Lin Ying, but now he feels it is very accurate.
Of course, Pittman is not the only one who has changed, Durant is also a lot stronger than when he first entered college.
Let’s talk about Lin Ying, his weight has only increased by two kilograms and has not changed much, but his body fat rate has dropped from 10.1% to 8.5%, and he looks very strong.
Torturing yourself is to prepare yourself in advance so that you can suffer less in the future.
The three of them are already ready for the upcoming tournament.
At this time, there is still less than half a month before the start of the new NCAA season.
Major colleges and universities across the country have basically determined their rosters for the new season.
At the same time, the NCAA officially launched the first "Power List" of the new season.
The power list is a term that fans like to call it. To be more precise, it should be called the standings.
This list will count the points of all wins and losses of each college in the NCAA, including those in the invitational tournament.
It allows fans and the outside world to better understand the NCAA in the new season.
More importantly, this will be an important reference for the NCAA Organizing Committee when making extended invitations.
So it has always attracted much attention from fans and players.
After the power list came out, Lin Ying and Durant immediately took the newspaper and started studying it in the dormitory.
Because if they successfully reach the top three, these are their potential opponents.
First, University of Florida Gators
The University of Florida is a veritable "upstart" in the NCAA. Their previous school history was mediocre. Last year was their first time reaching the NCAA finals, and then... they won the championship!
The past year has been an absolute dream for University of Florida fans. If it were made into a documentary, it would be a best-seller across the country.
But what’s even more fantastic is that the three core players who helped the team win the championship last year, Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Corey Brewer, all chose to stay in school!
If their championship last year was based on talent, then this year they not only have talent, but also experience!
Second, Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes have had championships in franchise history, but that was all in 1960. They have been stuck in the last dozen years, and last year they were eliminated in the first round.
But this year, Ohio State's admissions office has to add chicken legs, because their admissions work can be described as cheating.
They recruited Daequan Cook, Mike Conley, and Greg Oden!
Last year Lawrence High School was the No. 1 high school team in the United States. These three people are the absolute core of the team, and they are all five-star high school students!
Normally, the three of them would most likely go their separate ways when they get to college, but they chose to join the same school together.
Their joining will directly increase the Buckeyes' talent pool.
Especially Oden, he is not only the No. 1 high school student in the United States.
This monster, who is known as the combination of Chamberlain and Russell, was elected Mr. Basketball All-American in his senior year of high school. He was the second person after James to achieve this honor, and he was also dubbed "The Great" by the media.
His inside dominance was terrifying in high school, and he was basically the kind of player who would knock out anyone he encountered on both offense and defense.
If it weren't for the three Florida players who chose to stay in school, the Buckeyes would definitely be the most "powerful" team this year.
Third, the Georgetown University Shock Team
Georgetown University is also a traditionally powerful NCAA team. It has produced many NBA stars in its history, the most famous of which are undoubtedly "Gorilla" Patrick Ewing and "Answer" Allen Iverson. In addition, there are also
There are Dikembe Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, etc.
It is not difficult to find from these names that this is a team that is very good at developing centers.
The current center on the team is Roy Hibbert, who is already a junior and is 2.18 meters tall.
In addition, the star player on the team is power forward Jeff Green, who is also a junior.
These two people have guaranteed the lower limit of this team. In addition, they also have Jesse Sapp, Jonathan Wallace, and Dajuan Samo who have also left their names in the draft in history.
Si, and Patrick Ewing Jr.
Last year they stopped in the Sweet 16, and then all their core players chose to stay in school, which is enough to show their determination in the new season.
Fourth, UCLA Bruins
UCLA's popularity in the NCAA is as good as North Carolina's Duke, and the number of championships is even more than the combined total of the two.
They reached the finals last year, but lost to the University of Florida.
In the new season, except for captain Farmar, who has left the team, all the remaining main players have remained.
The remaining people are third-year Aaron Afflalo, second-year Luke Richard Mbah a Moute, second-year Darren Collison, and the three-stars they just recruited this year
High school senior Russell Westbrook.
Fifth, University of Kansas Jayhawks
The strongest team in the Big12 was unexpectedly upset last year when they advanced from 16 to 8. Like UCLA, most of the main players remain on the team.
Coming back this year, their goal is not just to reach the Elite Eight.
Sixth, University of North Carolina team
Duke and North Carolina, the NCAA duo, are also the two most famous universities for sending basketball talents to the NBA.
North Carolina is also Jordan's alma mater and has won the NCAA championship four times in history.
Last year, North Carolina stopped in the Sweet 16, but its strength should not be underestimated.
The core of this team now is veteran captain Tyler Hansbrough.
Hansbrough is already a well-known figure in the NCAA, averaging 19+8 per game in his freshman and sophomore seasons.
As for why he continues to stay in the NCAA, some people say that his talent is mediocre, but in history, after four years of college, he was still a lottery pick in the NBA draft. If this is considered mediocre talent, then everyone else is ""
"God has failed".
In contrast, another statement is more reliable: for the championship.
It sounds incredible, but just like Tim Duncan ran for office because he made a promise to his mother to finish college, Hansbrough is obsessed with winning.
Hansbrough lacked help last year, and this year North Carolina recruited three top high school students at once: Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Brandon Wright.
Coupled with Rayshawn Terry and Danny Green who are already in the lineup, North Carolina is strong this year.

No. 58, University of Texas Longhorns
This ranking is relatively low, but it is understandable.
There are 7 rookies in the 14-person team. Except for Durant and Augustin, the others are still unknown in high school.
Such a team may be able to achieve results if it takes a year or two to break in, but the chance in the new season is very slim.
However, considering Durant's talent and the University of Texas' performance in reaching the championship 16 times in the past 18 years, they are still considered to be able to enter the crazy three.
This first phase of the power list can be said to be relatively objective.
Of course, when the University of Texas players saw this list, they received the same evaluation as they said, a bunch of shit.
Chapter completed!
