Chapter 3 The Unchanging Route
Rainwater mixed with muddy water poured into the ditch, mixed with leaves and washed into the river, exuding the unique earthy smell of rainy days.
Ger Steen looked at the unknown object that looked like feces and mud under his feet with an extremely complicated expression.
But obviously there was something more shocking waiting for her.
Ge'er looked at the Bloody Mary by the river and immediately had the idea of turning around and going back: "It's worse than a tattered tin house!"
Captain Johnson walked towards the love boat, glanced at Geer, and said with a smile: "It may not be pretty, but it's powerful enough."
Bi Fang followed Johnson and took a look.
It's really shabby, just like the iron shacks built in the refugee area. The sides are completely patched up piece by piece with collected incomplete pieces of rusty iron sheets to form a larger iron wall to keep out the wind and rain.
But Bi Fang doesn't care about this. He has survived even worse environments, let alone a small boat with a bad appearance.
After picking up his backpack, Bifang followed Johnson onto the ship. Without any instructions, he simply started packing his things in preparation for setting sail.
Johnson watched for a while in the captain's cabin, then turned and left to do his own work.
As long as you can do things after boarding the ship, it doesn't matter what the purpose is.
An off-road pickup truck, splashing mud and water, drove up the path and stopped in front of Ge'er and the others.
Two men, one black and one white, got out of the car again.
All personnel are officially present.
Bi Fang put his arms on the second floor window of the cabin and watched as several people got on the boat one after another after a quarrel.
Jack Byron, a rather young white scientist, the key figure in the whole incident, and also an ambitious man, discovered the blood orchid and embarked on a flower-hunting journey at the request of the company.
Sam Rogers, Jack's assistant, is a blonde beauty who is passionate about her work.
Greg Sidney, the representative of Weihe Venture Capital, is a sexy mixed-race dark-skinned beauty.
Gordon Mitchell, the company's finance minister, is an urbanite wearing a suit and leather shoes, and wearing brand-name brands. He is a typical black elite and tall.
Ben Douglas, the doctor on the team, handsome white man.
Kerr Burris, a technician, a hip-hop black guy, not tall, always complains.
Captain Bill Johnson is a tall white man with good skills and a veteran.
First mate Aquan is an Asian and experienced local.
There were eight people in total, and four of them survived in the end, the hip-hop boy, the two beauties, and the captain.
Oh, by the way, there is also a monkey named Gangzi.
Bi Fang glanced at Gang Zi who was hiding in the corner and secretly looking at him.
A typical white-throated capuchin monkey. Because it is good-looking, smart, and docile, it is a star monkey species. Captain Barbossa's monkey in Pirates of the Caribbean is also this species.
Bi Fang saw that Gangzi had been staring at him, and he tossed the peach in his hand, trying to attract it, but with a whoosh, the monkey jumped out of the window on the other side and disappeared.
Bi Fang scratched his eyebrows. He didn't know why Gangzi refused to get close to him, but he didn't care. He turned around and saw everyone boarding the boat and walking out of the room.
Four people and one monkey, more than half survived, which is relatively rare in horror movies.
But a movie is a movie, and Bi Fang doesn't know what will happen after he joins in. But the original ending is definitely not a golden rule and can only be used as a reference.
"Oh my God, such a broken ship can actually have two crew members, and one is responsible for cleaning and emptying toilets?"
"The toilet is in the third room on the right. Basically, all boat toilets are connected directly to the river, which allows the animals and plants in the river to decompose, unless your feces is thicker than a Bornean dwarf elephant and it is blocked.
The toilet, otherwise I don’t think it needs special cleaning.”
Bi Fang walked down the stairs, looked at the hip-hop boy Burris, and explained casually.
Burris choked, and Jack on the side saw Bifang step forward and stretched out his hand: "Hello, I am Jack, Jack Byron, what is my name?"
"Bi Fang, you can call me Fang."
Bi Fang crossed over to Burris and shook Jack's hand.
In view of the accent and habits of foreigners, Bi Fang has always asked others to call him "Fang" instead of "Bi".
"Okay, Fang." Jack nodded, and then made a gesture of recalling, "I seem to have seen you in a tavern. You were surrounded by many people at that time."
Bi Fang smiled and said: "Yes, they like to listen to my stories."
Although Jack's actions in the later part of the movie are almost villainous, Bifang doesn't show off his face right away, which seems too inexplicable and childish.
"Looks like our trip won't be boring anymore."
"I promise this trip will never be boring."
"Okay, gentlemen, that's it for the pleasantries. If we still want to pick blood orchids, I suggest we leave now."
The mixed-race beauty Ge Er interrupted everyone's conversation without politeness.
Everyone paused for a moment, suddenly looked at each other and smiled, and then started busy themselves.
No one in the Xunhua six-person group felt surprised by the appearance of the new crew member, and Bi Fang joined the small team smoothly.
Everyone packed up their luggage and came back to the deck, surrounding the wooden table. Dr. Jack took out a roll of maps from his clothes and laid it on the table.
It is a simple rainforest map with the main river directions and several red circles on it.
Jack pointed to one of the red circles and looked at Captain Johnson: "This is where the expedition team discovered the blood orchid, the Sartan Basin. They spent three days."
The implication is to ask Captain Johnson to reach the destination within three days.
Johnson was noncommittal: "Yeah, that was before the rainy season, and some waterways could be dangerous now."
"You said you would deliver us safely, didn't you?" The blonde beauty Shan interjected, obviously also worried about the dangers of the rainforest.
"Yes, but safety does not mean speed. Let's drive slowly along the river..."
Bi Fang stood in the corner with his arms folded, watching everyone discuss. The conversation was almost exactly the same as in his memory, with basically no major changes.
Next is the hip-hop boy, oh, no, now it is the technology boy, who uses NASA and Asian satellites to explore the best route under the best conditions, and even compares the weather patterns of the past time just to be on the safe side.
In the end, everyone successfully chose the "best channel", and Captain Johnson readily agreed and took over this limited-time mission.
Bi Fang didn't say a word during the whole process.
Technology boy Burris's calculation is actually very correct. It is almost the limit of what technology can do. On the surface, there is no problem.
If it were Bi Fang who didn't know the plot, he might have chosen such a path, so he couldn't give any reason to refute it.
Even if he gave it, these people would never believe him.
Say there are giant pythons in the rainforest?
Come on, there are countless legends about various monsters in Borneo. Without direct evidence, everyone will just think that he is cowardly before fighting.
