Chapter 6 Life Blooms

The so-called guardian land is actually an area radiating with the "pillar" as the center, which is a forbidden area that is not allowed to enter except for the sons of nature, druids and natural creatures.

I don’t know if it is because of the profession of the Son of Nature, or if the wild animals in the game are not afraid of people, all kinds of strange creatures can be seen everywhere in the forest. They either stand on branches or poke their heads out of the bushes, and look at the incarnation of the white deer passing by.

Link had never been so close to nature. He looked around from time to time while running, but he didn't know that his every move was fully visible to Eris who led the way ahead.

Although the elf was thin and hiking was no less than Link's deformation. What made him even more jealous and envious was that he was panting, but Eris was still refreshed and there was not even a bead of sweat.

"Although Olasio's forest is particularly tall because of the Pillars of the Earth, you don't have to be so surprised, right?" Eris teased Link for fussing when he recovered his physical fitness.

"I grew up in the city and have never seen such a vast forest." Link blurted out, especially when he first entered the illusion, he was deeply shocked by the natural and magnificent beauty of the forest.

Hearing Link praises the forest of Mount Olasio with great praise, Iris sighed: "Jingyao was called the Great Green Forest in the past, and the area is even wider than the forest of Mount Olasio. I have only heard of its beauty in the songs of the tribe."

In ancient times, the Great Green Forest was the realm of the main god of the elves and was once the most life-filled land on the continent. In order to build luxurious buildings, humans cut down hundreds of trees and killed countless animals for fun. The forest shrank rapidly and also lost its vitality. The undead in the north seized this opportunity to corrupt the outer forest land, causing the glowing elves who have lived in the Great Green Forest since ancient times to suffer heavy damage.

"The crystallized trees are beautiful but have no life. Although I don't want Hull to be so extreme, I often blame humans. Even if it is not intentional, the growth of the dead is directly related to them." Iris' tone was deeply helpless, "As a human, how do you view your compatriots cutting down forests beyond their own needs and not wantonly slaughtering animals for filling their stomachs?"

Link was silent for a long time before answering Eris' question.

"I am actually very disgusted with this kind of resource grabbing regardless of the planet's ability to withstand the planet. As a member of the world, humans cannot escape the disaster caused by environmental deterioration." It is not because they are in a illusion that they speak loudly. Link's words are completely from the heart. He has personally experienced the consequences of soil erosion.

Link's hometown is located in the center of the faulted basin. The surrounding lowlands, hills and mountains are beautiful. Not only are there muntjacs, pheasants, macaques and other wild animals, but also wild wolves. The villagers living in the mountains are greedy for small profits and cut off all the trees and sell them for money. In just 20 years, the groundwater has been rapidly exhausted. Not to mention rice, even drought-tolerant corn and flue-cured crops cannot be planted alive. The villagers know that it is the result of soil erosion, so they replant trees, but the damaged ecology cannot be restored in this way.

So when the elf asked, Link was inspired. He believed that the sons of nature and the druid should punish humans who destroy nature at will. He also identifies some disasters caused by extreme climates. Unfortunately, humans are short-sighted and destroying the illusion environment for the sake of immediate interests. In the final analysis, it is caused by greed and luck. Some people even have the mentality of having nothing to do with me after death, and as long as they enjoy it in front of them, they are enough.

"Actually, I think the druid can arrest all the humans who hunt animals outside their desire to cut down forests and survive, punish them to plant trees, and plant as much as they cut them down. They can also torture them with nightmares, let dead plants and animals seek life from them in their dreams, and when will they stop doing evil and end the nightmares. It can even be done more accurately, moving animals and plants into expanded guardian lands, turning land outside the scope into deserts where food cannot be planted, and allowing humans to experience a good environment without a habitable environment."

"You'd better not have this kind of thought again." Eris was very worried about Link's mentality. If he let him develop, he would inevitably become a punishment.

Link agreed, but he didn't care. How could people restrain their plunder of nature until they were over?

"beep--"

Just as Eris was about to scold Link further, the sound of a horn came from the north.

"What happened?" The horn symbolized war in ancient times, and Link would not think that someone was bored and was playing with it.

"The patrol in the north was attacked, and the enemy was very difficult." Eris listened, and soon heard the message from the sound of different lengths. He whistled, and a snow-white unicorn walked out of the woods.

"Then let's go over and help..."

Before he finished speaking, Link was pulled onto the horse's back. The unicorn ran around like a bolt of lightning, shuttled through the dense forest. The surrounding scenery quickly retreated, and Link hugged the unicorn's neck tightly to stabilize his body.

"Where are we going?"

"Back to protect the ancient trees."

"Don't you go and help?"

"I will not let the precious selected person die." Eris read a long and strange pronunciation language in a hurry. Linkton felt that the unicorn's speed increased again, and the flying trees became like smoke and fog, a bit like the son of nature when he transformed between reality and illusion.

After a sudden stop, Link was surprised to find that they had returned to guarding the ancient tree. The druids were all holding weapons. The atmosphere was tense and the air was filled with a strong smell of blood.

Several centaurs were scattered on the clearing ground around the ancient tree. They were more or less injured. Hull was squatting beside one of them. Link recognized at a glance that the semi-male horse that had been named by the birdman to demonstrate speed. His lower body was severely corroded, and his limbs were dissolved so that only white bones remained.

The scene was bloody and terrifying, and the strong vomiting sensation hit Link's throat. The injury was so severe that it was impossible to save it, and death was just a matter of time.

"What's going on?" Eris ran forward in two steps.

"The patrol team encountered the undead on the northern border. You came just right, so heal them." Hull looked happy when he saw the elves. Most of the druids, including him, practiced aggressive talents, and were not very proficient in dispersal and healing techniques.

Iris first dispelled the curse attached to the centaur with the natural healing. A green light suddenly appeared, wrapping the centaur all over. In the slight sound like the sound of wind, the corrosion stopped. With the additional secondary treatment of the natural healing alone, Iris could not recover the melted flesh and blood. Iris performed another advanced healing technique, and the wound was repaired at a speed visible to the naked eye.

After healing several centaurs one after another, Eris stood up with frustration: "My spell position is running out."

"How is it possible, you should..." Hull suddenly realized something and looked at Link fiercely, "Is it all for him?"

Eris nodded and used him several times on his way to patrol the border. He asked Link to take over and remove the curse.

Suddenly being named, Linkton felt the pressure doubled.

He is just a novice who just learned skills.

Hull pushed Link towards the centaur who was already furious. Under the gaze of a group of druids, he could only grit his teeth and perform natural healing on the remaining wounds. Unfortunately, he has not mastered the advanced healing technique yet. The secondary healing technique can barely stop bleeding and cannot allow the corroded flesh to grow again.

This...is I really did it?

Link stared at his hands blankly. Such injuries could not be cured even if they were put in a scientific and modern era. Even though he knew that such a plot was normal in a game set in fantasy, he was still so excited that he was trembling all over for his own participation.

"Now is not the time to be dazed!"

Hull carried Link, who was still stunned, to the other wounded, and let him go until the remaining spells were used up.

"Bordering Nyala to the north, how did the undead enter such an inland area?" Eris looked at the four centaurs who had just escaped from the death. Fortunately, he did not take Link to the northern border today.

"The penetration of the undead is even more serious than expected. Jing Yao and Kolk are fighting hard in front of him. The twelve leaders who are a little greedy and afraid of death actually colluded with Shuang Han in secret." Hull pinched his eyebrows helplessly, "But the new candidate is such a useless person."

Eris leaned closer and said a few words in a low voice.

"What? He? Impossible!"

Just as Hull exclaimed, the Pillars of Earth suddenly burst out with a dazzling bright light. Several more druids were teleported back to protect the ancient tree. Although they were less injured than Centaurs, they also needed treatment in urgent need of treatment.

The emergencies made Eris, who had used up all his magic positions, regretted it. Seeing him showing a look of self-blame, Link felt uncomfortable. Even if he was just the NPC in the game, he could not watch them die indifferently.

"It's all your fault!" Hull, who was also helpless, chose to transfer his anger to Link. "If it weren't for helping you, he wouldn't have consumed all the magic positions at all."

"Don't pass on your incompetence to others." Link was also angry for no reason.

"Stop arguing! Now is not the time to argue!" Eris, who had always been gentle, suddenly shouted loudly, finally stopping the two of them from accusing each other.

He ordered the injured druid to settle in his respective tree houses, and Hull turned into a giant eagle he had first met with Link and flew towards the northern border where the undead appeared.

Iris, who used light spells, assisted the Druid with potions to treat his injured companions. Link, who couldn't help, stood aside for a while, then entered the library alone, and pulled out the White Deer Isol's scroll from the pile of books with talent instructions.

What are the uses of four elimination techniques with secondary therapy? It is better than a group therapy! The scroll notes that learning skills must be progressive step by step. Even the lowest group therapy "Bloom of Life" must have six auxiliary skills of Isol to learn.

Six, still the auxiliary system... Not to mention that I only selected three Isol's talents now, I don't know how many spell positions can be added even if I upgraded. There are too few four spell positions. If there are a few more, if there are no random choices of skills...

After taking a few deep breaths, Link Ping was slightly excited. He put the scroll back into the pile of books and sat down on the wooden stakes that served as seats.

What am I thinking? Those are just NPCs, just a set of data. If this continues, it won’t take long to get addicted to the point where it is difficult to extricate itself. Su Wen and Yuan Ye are the lessons learned from the past.

"You're confused." Eris's voice sounded behind his back, and he used a affirmative sentence, "Would you like to talk to me? Although I'm not a good mentor, I will be a good listener."

"I..." After opening a word, Link didn't know how to continue. His inner troubles could not be revealed to Eris.

Can you say it? Say you are afraid of dying in the game, say Edgar is just a fictional world, and say the characters in your **.

Fakes...all are fake, whether it is Eris, Hull, or those druids, they are all fake! Why do I bother with some virtual things?

"Tell me your worries, maybe I can help you." Eris walked to Link and squatted down to look at him, his emerald green eyes showing sincerity.

Influenced by his mood, Link spoke in a bad tone: "Why are you so anxious to train me? You are no longer the son of nature."

"Because I don't have much time..." Hesitation flashed in Eris's eyes, but he never looked away: "The elders decided to withdraw from Sunset Island, which is the birthplace of the elves and the absolute safe place before the world's destruction. Once I go back, I will never have the chance to return to the Central Continent in my life."

Link didn't expect to hear such an answer.

That's why? Teach everything he knows to his next successor before leaving?

"After the fall of Befest, the guardians of the Pillar of the Earth were vacant for two hundred years. The druids who lacked the leader alone resisted the erosion of the demons in the lower realm. The elites who were not damaged all fought against the undead on the northern front line. Here are either old, weak, sick, disabled or novices who have no combat experience. I prayed to Isol to protect the Pillar of the Earth, but I had to give up after less than a hundred years. As a new king, I have never met with my tribe members, but just wanted to see the new successor take on the burden of protection."

Eris's words made Link's heart that had finally calmed down again.

Saying that he is not afraid is a lie. When he first entered the illusion, although he was a little uneasy because of Yuan Ye's coma, he was mostly curious. After knowing that Su Wen's death was directly related to the game, his curiosity became worry. He died in his sleep, and anyone else would be afraid.

Link's trouble was not only because of his concern, but more because of the druids who were lying in the tree house and moaning. He lacked the magical treatment that could bring about resurrection, and could only rely on traditional and primitive external application and internal treatment, which made people feel moved when they touched the scene. He thought of his grandfather who died of illness, and had no cure, and could only watch the old man walk through the last time of his life in pain. In reality, he was powerless, but here was a game illusion where he could do anything, so why did he still face the same helplessness?

Druids are believers of nature. If there is really a god in this world, why not save their believers? The pillars of the incarnation of the earth are just a short distance away, why not save them?

"You haven't told me..." Eris's words came to an abrupt end, maintaining a stance of opening his mouth. The night wind that breeze that passed through the library stopped silently, and even the moans and conversations in the nearby tree house disappeared. The only thing that flowed was the fluorescence scattered by the columns. They gathered together and condensed into a white deer with huge antlers. It did not open its mouth, but its voice reached Link's mind.

[The gods who are transcendent in the world cannot interfere with the fate of creatures in the material world at will. Our power can only be conveyed through messengers in the material world.]

Isol?

Link stared at the white deer who appeared in front of him, turned his head to look at Eris beside him, and the elf was still talking and still moving.
