Chapter 9 Killing the enemy for the first time

Existential crises can bring out huge potential in people.

The moment Shang Zhen squatted down, he reached out and pulled something out from his waist and stabbed it forward.

That was the bayonet that captured him.

And almost at the same time, there was a sound of wind blowing over his head. It was the butt of a Japanese Type 38 rifle that hit him!

Everything happened so fast. Shang Zhen felt the bayonet in his hand encounter resistance as soon as he stabbed it. That should be the feeling when the bayonet stabbed into the human skeleton.

Shang Zhen was nicknamed Ma Gan'er by his fellow platoon members, so how strong could he be?

And just when he felt the bayonet was blocked, someone screamed.

At this time, how could Shang Zhen control whether the opponent was a Japanese soldier or one of his own?

Just hearing a scream of "ah", he couldn't tell the difference at all.

He only knows that if he doesn't kill the other party, the other party will kill him!

He drew back his bayonet and followed the cry and stabbed forward hard!

But this time he heard a "pop" sound, which was the sound of a bayonet entering flesh.

After he succeeded with the knife, Shang Zhen immediately dodged to the side and squatted down against the corner again.

It can be seen that he had just squatted down when he heard another "dang" sound coming from above his head. It was still the sound of the butt of the gun hitting the wall.

It was inappropriate to squat here, Shang Zhen realized instantly.

He rushed in from outside. If the Japanese army wanted to kill him, of course they would greet him where he made the sound!

Realizing this, Shang Zhen carefully squatted and moved forward step by step.

The officers and soldiers of the Northeast Army were still retreating, and the man who was stabbed by Shang Zhen with his bayonet was still moaning.

This chaotic sound finally covered up Shang Zhen's heavy breathing.

Shang Zhen felt sweat dripping from his temples, firstly because of nervousness, and secondly because his physical strength was not good to begin with.

But Shang Zhen still remained vigilant, simply because he knew there must be other Japanese troops in the darkness.

By now he was sure that the person he stabbed with a bayonet was the Japanese army.

Because the person he stabbed was moaning very close to him, he could now be sure that the sound was absolutely different from the one made by the Chinese.

His body is so weak, Shang Zhen sighed in his heart, but then he felt something was wrong.

Because he still heard footsteps moving away from him. They were all officers and soldiers of his battalion. They should have heard the screams of the Japanese soldier just now, but no one came to check!

Shang Zhen suddenly realized that it was dark now, so what could he do if he was his partner? He couldn't tell the difference between friend and foe, so who could help him?

If you want to survive, you have to rely on yourself, but you can't make a sound yet!

The footsteps of his companions were disappearing, but at the same time, Shang Zhen heard all kinds of sounds coming from around him.

There is no doubt that the ones making these sounds cannot be rats, but Japanese soldiers.

The Japanese army here cannot be only one or two, but it can never be too many.

If there was only one Japanese soldier, Shang Zhen could not explain the sound of the rifle butt hitting the wall and the squeaking sounds in front and behind him.

But if there were many Japanese troops, it would be impossible for them to let so many people in their camp leave easily.

Now Shang Zhen still doesn't know how to shoot, but he knows that there is a kind of gun in the army called a machine gun.

The veterans said that that kind of gun was very powerful. After a fight, the bullets would shoot out in series, making a "chug, chug" sound. A single bullet could knock down more than ten people!

If the Japanese army had this kind of machine gun, and they fired the machine gun like that, then the leader of their battalion would never have been the only one killed.

Shang Zhen already regretted a little. He really shouldn't have gone into these alleys again, where he was surrounded by enemies both in front and behind. He couldn't advance or retreat.

The sound in front and behind him became louder, and as the sound got louder, Shang Zhen felt his heart beat faster.

He felt that the hand holding the bayonet had become stiff.

But he didn't know it, but his hands were actually trembling slightly because of nervousness and fear.

At this moment, the sound of the departing footsteps of his companions had disappeared, but the rustling sound became louder, and then there was a rustling sound, which was made by stepping on the ground with hard soles.

At this moment, Shang Zhen's heart was filled with panic.

But his hearing was so clear, he even judged that the rustling footsteps right in front of him would step on his head if he took a few steps forward. He wanted to move, but he couldn't.

Can't move!

I can't wait to die here! A voice shouted deep in Shang Zhen's heart.

But then, there happened to be another voice shouting, "I'm scared!"

The two voices were intertwined and confronting each other, like two villains tearing apart deep in Shang Zhen's heart. One wanted to pull him into the abyss, while the other still wanted to pull him into the abyss. The only difference was how.

Go to hell!

This conflict was so intense, and just as the rustling footsteps in front stopped, and someone stepped towards him in the darkness, Shang Zhen suddenly burst into flames. He clasped his hands together, holding the bayonet in both hands at the same time.

The hilt of the knife stabbed out again!

With a "pop" sound, Huishang Zhen felt the touch of his bayonet moving forward in the enemy's flesh, and then his hand hit the curved hook in front of the handle that resembled a handguard.

This time, he actually penetrated the Japanese soldier in front!

Shang Zhen was stunned for a moment, did I kill someone? This thought flashed in his mind, but then he pulled out the knife and knocked it forward.

The Japanese soldier he stabbed had already fallen down, and Shang Zhen felt his foot stepping on the opponent's head.

He staggered and almost fell, but instinctively started running again. At the same time, he held the knife in one hand and stabbed forward randomly!

Under extreme depression, he either dies in depression or explodes in depression. At this moment, Shang Zhen finally broke out.

At this time, he couldn't control that much anymore, and his skinny body ran directly out of the front with the momentum of "I'm still going forward" despite thousands of troops!

Shang Zhen heard the Japanese soldiers shouting in front of and behind him. It was the Japanese soldiers saying "here".

But Shang Zhen still didn't care. When he stabbed a Japanese soldier in front of him again with the bayonet in his hand, he finally rushed out of the alley and disappeared into the darkness.

After a while, when the Japanese troops behind him were in chaos, Shang Zhen had already leaned his body against a low wall.

He was panting heavily, and with his current body as numb as a stick, allowing him to sprint at a speed of 100 meters and knock him out of the enemy group had already reached the limit of his body.

But Shang Zhen knew that his danger had not been completely eliminated, and he would eventually need to find the main force.

When his breathing calmed down a bit, Shang Zhen stood up supporting the wall and walked slowly towards the east, dragging his sore legs.

Shang Zhen did not know, and even the entire Northeastern Army in Fengtian North Camp did not know that on this night of September 18th, the Northeastern Army suffered more than 300 casualties and the Japanese Army suffered 24 casualties.

Among the 24 Japanese casualties, only two were dead and the rest were wounded.

The September 18th Incident represented the beginning of China's Anti-Japanese War. Later generations called the battle when the Northeastern Army broke out from Beidaying in Shenyang known as the Beidaying Breakout Battle.

But is this really a breakout battle?
