Chapter 69 Presti's First Day in Office(1/2)

Amid the hustle and bustle of the five-team big deal with Yes as the core, the 2006 NBA Draft came to an end.

The first session was originally the New Year of the Draft, because Yes' existence became one of the most popular drafts in NBA history.

The five teams revolve around a rookie, and the players involved have an MVP who is in their play and two All-Stars who are in their play, which is the first time in history.

After the transaction was completed, more and more inside information about the transaction were disclosed.

The deal was not caused by NBA MVP players Kevin Garnett and the Timberwolves.

The transaction originated from the Seattle Supersonics actively found the Toronto Raptors and sought to trade the No. 1 pick in the Raptors to choose Yes.

The Raptors and Lions opened their mouths and needed the No. 4 pick on the Supersonics, Ray Allen and Rashad Lewis.

He was flatly rejected by the supersonic speed.

In order to get Yes, Supersonics can pay any price, but Ray Allen cannot be sent to the Raptors.

It is difficult for Allen Ray to make the contribution to the Supersonics in the past and his devastating performance for the Supersonics to endure humiliation last season, Rick Sand is so heartless.

And supersonics can't just get Yes, it will be very ugly.

The Supersonics need a Raptors a valuable future first-round draft pick.

The two sides were in a deadlock.

Supersonic must get Yes, the whole world knows the trump card of Supersonic.

The Raptors must maximize their own interests. If they don’t rob now, they will have to wait for the future?

After nearly half a month of dispute between Supersonic and Raptors, Raptors and Supersonic finally took a step back.

To facilitate the deal, the Raptors pulled in the Celtics and the Bucks.

The Celtics sent four first-round picks to the Raptors in the next seven years to redeem Ray Allen.

In order to obtain the Raptors' potential power forward Villanova, the Bucks gave the 2007 first-round draft pick to the Supersonics instead.

After learning about the existence of this transaction, the Timberwolves, who had already completed a separate transaction with the Celtics, saw that the supersonics were so easy to kill, and wanted to come and kill, threatening the Celtics to join the transaction.

For the sake of Supersonic's face, Rick Sand defended the bottom line, and Supersonic was not completely stripped away by the Timberwolves.

In order to complete the deal faster, the Raptors and the Celtics lobbyed the Supersonics and the Bucks to let the Supersonics send forward veteran Reggie Evans to the Bucks, and the Bucks sent Development League player Ilyasova to the Timberwolves.

At this point, this long-term deal was considered an agreement.

After reaching an agreement, the Toronto Raptors selected Yes with the No. 1 pick according to the Supersonics, while the Supersonics selected Bagnani with their No. 4 pick according to the Raptors. The rookies from both sides gave each other and the deal was reached.

In this transaction, Supersonics General Manager Rick Sander prematurely made people see the stupidity of the trump card a laughing stock in the whole of the United States.

Raptors general manager Brian Colangello, the former general manager of the Suns, said in an interview after getting Bagnani: "Our goal from beginning to end is Bagnani, Yes is excellent, but Bagnani will shock the whole world!"

Corangelo's words were stomping on the stupid Rick Sander a few more steps.

In this deal, Colangelo once again became a respectable wise man.

His greed and ferocity shocked everyone.

"When the deal was completed, Brian Colangello had won the best general manager next season, and Rick Sand resigned in shame."

"This is the end of this deal. Brian Colangello's perfect operation this time will become the peak textbook in the history of NBA draft robbery, and Rick Sand will be nailed to the pillar of shame forever!"

Now that Rick Sand is ridiculed like this in the United States, he feels very sad and ashamed.

In 1979, at the age of 28, he was hired as general manager by the Dallas Mavericks, who is the youngest general manager in NBA history.

Thirty years have passed, from Dallas to the current Seattle Supersonics, he, the youngest NBA general manager in history, has achieved nothing or achieved nothing.

"Sam, I threw a mess for you"

"No, Rick did a great job"

Looking at the devastated supersonics, Sam Presti, who was handing over Rick Sand, did not feel that his ex should be ridiculed.

He was invited to be the general manager of Supersonics and was not suddenly invited now. He was invited a month ago.

In other words, when Rick Sander was in contact with the Raptors to trade Yes, he was ready to be robbed by the Raptors in the end and resigned.

Presti is a very calm person who has seen the operations that Supersonics have done in order to get Yes in the past year.

Apart from exposing his intent to Yes too early, Rick Sander did nothing wrong with other operations.

In this deal, he was able to stick to Ray Allen's request and cut off the Timberwolves's razor-headed hands, which was very courageous.

When the situation was extremely unfavorable to him, he did not blindly tolerate him.

Finally, I got Yes, and also repayed Ray Allen's grace for making trouble, and also gained a little future for the team.

"Sam, as you ask, we selected PJ Tucker from the University of Texas with the No. 34 draw, and we selected Paul Millsap from the University of Louisiana Tech with the No. 44 draw we bought from the Orlando Magic."

"Paul Millsap?"

“Paul Millsap was recommended to me by Yes before going to New York.”

So that's it, and it seems Yes also believes that Rick Sand will pay all the price to keep him in Seattle.

This unparalleled trust between Seattle and Yes is moving.

"In order not to disrupt our draft plan and hope to meet Yes' requirements, I bought a second round from the Magic in my own opinion."

Presty's silence made Rick Sand explain quickly.

According to the prior agreement, he had to inform Presti of any team's operations a month ago, except for the Yes transaction.

But Yes recommended Paul Millsap just this morning, and he bought the Magic second round pick just now, and there was no time to report it.

"Have Rick visited Paul Millsap?"

Rick Sand was a little embarrassed when he heard Princeton's question. He had never heard of this person.

Seeing Rick Sander's expression, Presty understood it, so she didn't delve further.

Paul Millsap should be Yes nepotism?

The strength of the NCAA rebounding king that he had some impression of didn't matter, what was important was that he was Yes's person.

PJ Tucker is a university in Texas, Texas is the base camp of the Spurs, and he is the head of the Spurs scouts. He has been inspecting PJ Tucker for a long time.

A month ago, he recommended PJ Tucker to Spurs general manager Buford, who also lacked small forwards, but Buford was embarrassed to get his recommendation.

Last year, in order to get Mohammed, the Spurs sent this year's first round pick to the New York Knicks.

Since the Spurs can't choose, PJ Tucker fell into the second round again, so he can't get others cheaper.

As long as Rick Sand chooses PJ Tucker as he asks, nothing else matters.

To get Yes, the supersonics have now entered a complete reconstruction phase.

The Supersonics' lineup is actually good, and it has always been a Western Conference playoff team in the past.

But after the crazy showdown last season and the two leaders of the team have been sent away, the team has completely lost much enthusiasm.

Danny Foster, a contract of 6.6 million a year, a pocket inside line of 2.01 meters, can jump and grab boards, and is very popular in Seattle. He can contribute an average of 16 points and 16 rebounds per game at his peak, but he was abandoned after a stress fracture. He only played 23 games for the Supersonics last season, so don’t expect him to perform next season.

Damien Wilkins signed a five-year, 14.5 million contract with the team last year, and now he still has a four-year contract. The 1.98-meter forward and guard swingman can do anything, but he is not proficient in the Western Conference semi-finals with the Spurs, with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. This game is also the reason why he can get such a big contract as a undraft.

Nick Collison, who has a two-year rookie contract, has a comprehensive 2.08-meter white blue-collar insider.

Roport Swift, who has a two-year rookie contract, has a 2.13-meter white center, is called the last hope of the white center in the NCAA. He is currently torn a cruciate ligament and will miss all games next season. It may be difficult for him to stand on the court in the future and can ignore it.

Luke Reedno, who has a one-year rookie contract, has a comprehensive 1.88-meter white point guard. He averaged 11.5 points and 7 assists per game in the third grade last season. He is Yes' biggest helper next season, and the team's most important asset besides Yes.

Qiao Han Petro, who has a three-year rookie contract, a 2.13-meter-long French black center, is a sufficient role player.

Earl Watson, who has a three-year, 18 million contract, averaged 115 per game on the Supersonics 24 minutes last season, and one of the team's most important combat powers left now.

Chris Wilcox, whose contract expires, is 2.08 meters tall, averaged 148 games last season, and has reached a three-year, 19.5 million contract with the team, which is one of the team's important reconstruction assets.

Reeve Lafrenz, 30-year-old 2.11-meter white center, has a three-year, 36 million contract left, the team's biggest negative asset in order to facilitate one of the two junk contracts received by the Yes transaction.

Jaylen Ross, 33-year-old forward, has a 81-point background with Kobe. In order to facilitate Yes' deal, he received one of the two major junk contracts, and has a contract of 15 million a year left.

Yes, Yes, 19-year-old defender, Seattle Supersonics hopes, is expected to give a 4-year contract of 21 million, the most important core asset of the Supersonics.

PJ Tucker, a 21-year-old rookie small forward, is expected to give a contract of 2 million for three years.

Paul Millsap, 21-year-old power forward, is expected to give a contract of 2 million for three years.

After handing over with Rick Sander and reading the information about the team's existing players, Presty's brows were always locked.

The team is now ineffective in operation.

After giving Wilcox and Yes contracts, the total salary of 13 players was close to $65 million.

Next season, the league's salary cap is US$53 million, the luxury tax trigger line is US$61 million, and the luxury tax exceeds 4 million.

The contract between Jaylen Ross and Lafrenz is the main reason for the luxury tax to exceed the line.

The good news is that Jaylen Ross's 15 million contract expires next season, and Danny Foster's 6.6 million garbage contract will expire next season, which will free up 22 million space for the team.

But that's only next season, so he doesn't have to think about catching big fish in the free market this season.

There are actually no big fish in the NBA this year. Jason Terry should still stay with the Mavericks. Ben Wallace, since he broke with the Pistons, his only goal is to have a big contract.

Supersonics definitely can't afford to give to the Wallace contract, nor will it give to it.
