Chapter 26 The Past (Part 2)(2/2)
Tommy pointed ahead of him.
John turned around and saw the complaining protagonist occupying his chair calmly and gently rubbing the cat's belly. He flattened his mouth, pretending that nothing had happened, put the oil lamp by the wall, then walked to the front of the bookshelf, pulled out a notebook from a pile of thick and large books, and handed it to Ansbilis.
"What is this?" Ansbilis opened the page with strange symbols on it.
John said: "Mastering time is like mastering the world. This note's original words."
Ansbilis turned to the title page and saw a familiar name: Gordon Turner.
"You are not the only madman who wants to master the mystery of time, at least this dark wizard is also your accomplice. You can look at his notes and may be inspired." John turned a blind eye to Tommy's suggestion, "But I want to remind you that this dark wizard may no longer exist. After all, coveting God's power is no different from seeking death."
Ansbilis reads the notes quickly: "He is not dead."
John was stunned: "Do you know him?"
"And, his experiment is likely to be successful."
John exclaimed: "This is impossible!"
Ansbilis did not say that he was from the future, and his relationship with the Holy See was not good enough to talk about everything: "He can ban time." His random fabrication touched the truth. "I am looking for reasons why he controls time and stop him."
John did not believe his words, and did not believe them at all. The 19th century Holy See and the Vampire had not yet survived a long period of peace, and they were full of vigilance and hostility. He said: "If this is the case, I can do nothing. I don't know where the fourteen wooden pillars are located."
"Okay." Ansbilis picked up the cat and disappeared into the basement, so fast that it caught Tommy and John off guard.
