Chapter 25 Returning to the Li Family

Maolian turned around and looked around. The gloomy and darkness after the rain appeared everywhere. Maolian was still running to find the person Xiuyuan called out just now, "Lingxiao, come out!"

Xiuyuan helped him up unswervingly, "Are you okay? Are you injured?"

Buyu shook her head, she was not sure whether she had let Lingxiao pop up or Xiuyuan.

The two of them then ran out, and Maolian stood in the middle of the yard in a daze, her trouser legs wet with wet wet.

"Uncle, are you okay?" Xiuyuan asked with concern.

"Did you all see her?" Maolian turned around and looked at the two people in front of her.

Xiuyuan and Buyu nodded. At that moment, they clearly saw Luo Lingxiao standing beside Maolian, with a snow-white face, blood-red lips, and a faint smile.

"She is back," Maolian first said to herself, and then smiled. Xiuyuan looked at her uncle's smile and felt moved and relieved.

"Uncle, are you okay?" Xiu Yuan couldn't tell the meaning behind Maolian's smile. Maolian waved her hand and shook her head, "Let's go home."

The next day, Maolian followed Xiuyuan and Buyu back to Yongning Village, Tiantai Town. The moment Maolian stepped into the house, Maochun stood in front of the hall and was stunned. The two of them looked at each other for a while. Butler Li pushed Maochun and signaled to welcome Maolian.

Maochun realized that he walked forward and stretched out his hands to touch Maolian's already gray temples, "You're back."

Maolian smiled faintly, "Yes, I'm back."

Maochun hugged his younger brother, "It's good to come back, it's good to come back."

Maolian let her brother hold her, turned around and saw Butler Li's eyes were wet. Maolian nodded to Butler Li, with a smile in her eyebrows.

"I want to go back to the room, I'm a little tired." Maolian looked at her brother, and Maochun was stunned for a moment, "You can live somewhere else first, that room has not been cleaned up."

Maolian shook her head, "I'm just going back and checking, I won't live there."

"Okay then." Maochun asked someone to take the key and take Maolian to open the door that had been locked for twenty years.

Finally, when Maolian returned to his room, Xiuyuan followed. In his impression, the house was locked since he was a child. It was a house locked by a strong and rusty lock. The door panels were damaged. No one came in and no one thought about coming in to find out what happened. Everyone passed by here and everyone agreed. When he did not exist, it seemed that the meaning of the building itself had been lost and no longer a place for people to stay. When the key struggled to open the big lock, Maolian pushed the door open, and the ancient and old door panel made a "creaking" sound.

The two walked in, and the furniture in the room was covered with white lists and covered with dust.

Maolian looked at Xiuyuan, "I haven't been back for twenty years, and the decorations here have not changed."

"You will get used to it more when you live back in the future." Xiuyuan smiled, and Maolian slowly turned around and didn't say anything. Xiuyuan always felt that there was something in his eyes, or something to say.

"Social life," Maolian called him for a long time, "Although this family was so inhumane, you must protect everyone here and here."

"Uncle said, Xiuyuan remembered it." Xiuyuan didn't think much at that moment, and then he suddenly remembered something, "You should keep this for yourself." Then he handed the bag of Lingxiao that he had been holding to Maolian.

After seeing the familiar yellow paper and the phoenix pila that only Lingxiao could embroider it, Maolian looked at Xiuyuan calmly, "Thank you."

"Uncle," Xiuyuan finally decided to ask the answer he had always wanted to know, "Why didn't you go to the stone bridge?"

Maolian turned her back to Xiuyuan, "Because there are some things you can never decide."

"But can you accept Lingxiao marry someone else?"

Maolian bent her lips and smiled bitterly, "We can't afford to offend the powerful Lord Guan."

Sure enough, Xiuyuan still heard the answer he didn't want to hear the most. He looked at his uncle calmly. Maolian's side face was very deep, with her eyelids hanging down, and her lonely eyes. Xiuyuan sighed, "Yes, although I don't know the power of Lord Guan at that time, I can imagine it."

Maolian turned around and held his slender hands on Xiuyuan's shoulders, "So I have never fulfilled my responsibilities for this family, but no matter what, you have to help maintain it."

"I know," Xiu Yuan nodded heavy again, and Maolian's eyes seemed to have received the greatest comfort.

"Young Master, Second Master." Butler Li walked in, Maolian patted Xiuyuan on the shoulder, "Let's go, don't let someone wait for us."

The Li family hasn't been together for such a grand meal for a long time. There were hearty meals and fine wine on the table. Maochun poured a glass of wine for his younger brother, "You have been outside for many years. Today I specially prepared the best wine for you. Don't worry if you drink it until you get drunk, after all, you are at home."

Maolian picked up the cup and raised her head and drank it all, making a satisfying sound, "It's true that it's a good wine. I used to drink until I was drunk because I couldn't sleep without getting drunk. I had to get drunk, but I often couldn't get drunk."

Maochun then poured another glass for his younger brother, and Maolian stopped him, "Today is different. I can fall asleep without drinking to get drunk."

Xiuyuan looked at his father who had been frozen for a while, "Yes, uncle is right, let's not drink anymore. Look at this rich delicacy, let's eat vegetables." As he said that, he added dishes to Maolian.

Maolian smiled, butler Li was also at the same table with them, and Maolian was next to him, "Butler Li, I miss you very much over the years."

"Second Master, it's good that you're back, I'm thinking about you very much." Butler Li kept picking up food for Maolian, and his eyes never left Maolian's body during the meal.

"For so many years, you have to take care of this family."

"What the Second Master said is not what I should do." Butler Li felt ashamed, Maolian smiled and lowered her head to eat the food.

"Have you ever married and had children outside these years?" As soon as Wang said this, everyone on the table was stunned for a moment. Then Wang realized that he had lost something. Maolian still lowered her head to eat vegetables and shook her head.

"Since I'm back, I'll tell you about marriage one day. Even if I'm such an adult, I can't always live alone." Maochun stopped chopsticks. Since Wang had already said this, Maochun simply told the matter out loud. Only when his younger brother became a family can he be at ease.

Maolian's silence did not seem to make Maochun realize anything. He put down his chopsticks and said, "I'm full, I'm back to my room first. Maybe I'm still a little tired after I came back." After that, he got up and left.

No one else said anything else. Xiuyuan looked at his lonely back when he left and put down his chopsticks.

When Maolian was standing on the stone bridge, he felt the line of words on the stone corridor. It was engraved here after he committed suicide in Lingxiao. The 20 years of rain and wind blowing are still clear.

"Uncle," Maolian turned around, Xiuyuan stood under the bridge, and was walking towards him.

"Why are you here?"

"I think you are not in the room, so I guess you must be here." Xiuyuan grabbed Maolian's thoughts accurately. Maolian looked down from the bridge. The river was so quiet that it was terrifying, and the moonlight showed a quiet blackness.

Both of them were quiet for a while, "Uncle, if you choose one, will you abandon Lingxiao?" Xiuyuan finally couldn't help speaking.

Maolian continued to look at the riverside, "Sometimes regret is futile, because I can't go back anymore, I'm sorry to Lingxiao."

A few faint ripples appeared on the dark river surface, as if something small fell in. Xiuyuan frowned and tilted her head, and inadvertently saw Maolian's eyes closed and crystal tears on her eyelashes.

It was another rainy night. Xiuyuan closed the window and sat back on the bed. There was a thunder and rain outside the window. Xiuyuan felt a strong feeling. Today was Lingxiao's death day, and she would definitely come back.

Just as I was thinking, I heard someone calling him outside the window. Xiuyuan was stunned. He opened the window and was under the window, and his clothes were wet.

"Unswer," Xiuyuan hurriedly opened the window, "Come in quickly."

When Buyu came in, Xiuyuan noticed that her body had been completely wet, her white clothes wrapped around her graceful jade body, Buyu wrapped around her chest and looked at her awkwardly.

Xiuyuan took out a big robe and wrapped her around without saying a word, "Why are you here? It's so raining."

"Today is Lingxiao's death day, I'm afraid you have something to do."

It turned out that the two of them thought of each other. Thunder was heard outside the window, and Xiuyuan looked unswervingly. Her simple and beautiful eyes had the beautiful and bright gaze of a fox, but in the final analysis, this fox demon was blooming under the skin of a human being, just like the simplest and most beautiful side of human beings.

"Then you can't come in the rain, how dangerous is this thunder and rain."

Buyu shook his head and smiled slightly. Seeing that smile in Xiuyuan's eyes, he suddenly felt a little pulling, and then immediately turned his head to avoid this unnatural feeling.

Buyu noticed Xiuyuan's avoidance, and she bit her lip awkwardly.

Suddenly, Xiuyuan felt a burning sensation in his chest again. He avoided the unyielding head and opened the clothes in front of his chest. He saw that the sign appeared again in front of his snow-white chest. The golden swastika was in his eyes. Xiuyuan felt bad, "Unyi, I'm not at ease, I want to go to my uncle's room to take a look."

Buyu stood up, "I'll go with you."

Xiuyuan nodded, and the two of them held umbrellas and walked towards Maolian's room. As soon as they arrived outside the door, they saw that the door was hidden. Xiuyuan stepped forward and knocked on the door, "Uncle, are you here? I am Xiuyuan."

It was almost late at night. If Maolian had already fallen asleep, the lights in the room should be turned off, but the faint yellow light could still be seen from outside the door.

Xiu Yuanjian didn't respond, so he pushed the door and went in. There was no one in the room, only the candlelight was jumping on the table, and Buyu followed him in, "Why is there no one? Your uncle went out?"

Xiuyuan was surprised and suddenly glanced at a letter hidden beside his uncle's bed. Xiuyuan subconsciously walked over and picked it up, and found that there were three words on the envelope: Xiuyuan is open.

It turned out that my uncle had already left a good letter, and Xiuyuan felt that something was not good. "Stone Bridge." Xiuyuan suddenly spoke and said unswervingly, "Let's go to Shiqiao right away."

Maolian stood on the stone bridge with an umbrella. He touched the line of words on the corridor platform of the stone bridge, "Lingxiao, if you are here, please come out."

The heavy rain fell in the pitch-black water, and the rain wet his clothes. Maolian still touched the handwriting. He closed his eyes, "Lingxiao, I'm back, you come out."

Maolian's low voice was hoarse because of alcoholism. He could not recite the melodious poem like before, "The light and spiritual stone steps are setting sun, and the wind and moon are moving around in the sky and the cliffs."

Finally, the sound of missing each other day and night sounded behind me, "The snowy sky is blue, the setting sun is green, and the lonely bridge reflects the willows on the corridor, day after day, year after year, who will see the old friend return?"

Maolian suddenly turned around, and Lingxiao stood behind her, wearing a red dress, long black hair poured down her lower half covering her snow-white face. Lingxiao's delicate face looked at Maolian with dark and empty eyes, and her red lips were lightly opened, "Maolian, you are back."

Maolian stood there straight, nodding, "I'm back."

"Are you still leaving?" Ling Xiao approached him, and his snow-white and cold hands stroked his face.

"I will never leave again." Maolian shook her head sadly.

Suddenly she began to laugh shrillly. The laughter broke the silence of the night sky and overshadowed the sound of rain. Maolian was still looking straight at Lingxiao.

Lingxiao stopped laughing and began to turn into a miserable voice, "Never leave again? You lied to me, you lied to me twenty years ago."

Maolian nodded, "I lied to you, I blamed you."

Lingxiao strangled Maolian's neck, which was a cold feeling. Maolian did not struggle. He looked at the hands under his head, which had become bones. Lingxiao's face began to twist and hideously.
