Chapter 57: The Mystery (Part 2)

Xiaoyao ran in the rain, and the rain blurred his vision. He suddenly stopped as he walked. Not far away, someone was looking at him. Xiaoyao turned around and looked at the forgetful marks under the tree.

He was stunned, and Forgehan stood there motionlessly, like a sculpture.

Xiaoyao walked over slowly, looking down at Forget.

Wanghen's eyes were still cold. No one spoke, but only heard the sound of rain around him. I don't know how long it took, Xiaoyao took the lead in speaking, "How are you?"

Wanghen nodded, "I'm leaving."

“Where to go?”

"Leave here and go with my mother-in-law and the others." Wangheng pursed his lips.

"Are you waiting for me here specifically?" Xiaoyao asked. Wanghen turned his head and looked at the heavy rain outside the tree.

"Xiaoyao, take care of yourself." Wanghen lowered his head and wanted to walk away. Xiaoyao frowned. He stretched out his hand and pulled Wanghen.

Wanghen was stunned and pulled him.

"Forget," Xiaoyao asked softly, "If it weren't for my master, would you like me?"

Wanghen was stunned. She froze there, began to smile bitterly, and then slowly turned around. Xiaoyao was so embarrassed that he was soaked by the rain.

Wanghen looked at him and suddenly felt that his expression was extremely pitiful, like a child.

"Xiaoyao, I am different from my mother. I don't make assumptions or do impossible things," Wanghen paused, "So, forget me."

Xiaoyao let go of his hand, and Wanghen left him like this and disappeared into the rain.

For Xiaoyao, all this is a dream, but a nightmare.

In just a moment, Xiaoyao looked up and the rain rushed down from the dense leaves and hit Xiaoyao's face. Xiaoyao closed his eyes and let the rain wash himself. He fiddled with his hair. Overnight, he seemed to have grown up, seeing the desolation and helplessness of the world, but he didn't want to grow up like this.

When Xiaoyao's memories ended, he closed his eyes and inserted his hand into his hair.

Xiu Yuan looked at Xiaoyao's side face and sighed, "You have suffered a lot of grievances."

"It's over," Xiaoyao smiled faintly.

Cultivation is a burden to Xiaoyao.

"What's this?"

"For you." Xiu Yuan smiled.

Xiaoyao pointed at himself and was about to open it, Xiuyuan pressed his hand, "Don't open it first."

Xiaoyao looked at the master curiously, and Xiuyuan let out a long sigh, "Xiaoyao, do you know what is the most terrifying thing for a person?"

"Old, and helpless." Xiaoyao continued.

Xiuyuan smiled, "It's not scary to be old, what's scary is that many things in the world cannot be eliminated as you grow old. They are deposited in the deepest part of your memory, and never mind, and never a day I don't think of it."

"Master," Xiaoyao felt that Xiuyuan was so powerless, which was something that Xiaoyao never had before. Xiuyuan always seemed to be so attentive to everything, and now he was so helpless. "Are you still missing him? If you choose again, you will still be able to-" Xiuyuan did not answer immediately. His eyes floated into the distance, as if he could see a lot.

"Xiaoyao, many things cannot be changed, assumptions cannot be made, and without ifs, we cannot go back to the past." Xiuyuan slowly stood up.

"Master," Xiaoyao also stood up, "What happened at that time? Why did you do it yourself?"

Xiuyuan turned his back to Xiaoyao, and these questions remained in Xiaoyao's mind. For decades, he had wanted to know.

Xiuyuan's back is so old that Xiaoyao really wants to stand behind him to protect him.

Xiuyuan slowly turned around and looked at Xiaoyao, Xiaoyao felt that he had become so old and powerless.

Xiuyuan smiled bitterly, "Because——Buy will think this more."

Xiaoyao frowned, Xiuyuan's steps were very slow and clumsy. He shook his body weakly like walking on the mountain. Xiaoyao followed him next to him. He wanted to reach out to help him, but Xiuyuan waved his hand and signaled that he could do it.

Xiaoyao could only follow him and see his old look.

The two of them slowly moved to the top of the mountain. The mountains were golden. Xiaoyao hadn't seen the scenery of the Central Plains for a long time and couldn't help but look dumbfounded.

"My father once said that the beautiful scenery of the Central Plains still makes him remember it deeply, but I feel that deep in his memory are the years he used to be with you." Xiaoyao narrowed his eyes and smiled, his smile still looked like Xiaoyao thirty years ago.

Xiuyuan slowly sat down behind him, Xiaoyao looked at the kind face of his master, "Master, I will be with you in the future, always-- OK?"

Xiuyuan nodded, "Okay."

Xiaoyao smiled comfortably. This time, he had lost his knot in his heart for thirty years. He looked at the mountains with greed, "Central Plains, I'm back--"

There was Xiaoyao's echo in the valley, which had not dissipated for a long time. Xiaoyao opened his arms and closed his eyes. The autumn wind blew over and lifted his hair.

"Master—" Xiaoyao paused, "We should go back-" Xiaoyao slowly turned around and looked at the old man sitting under the tree behind him. He lowered his head and seemed to be asleep. Xiaoyao was stunned and then smiled, "Just go to bed." So he walked over and took off his clothes and put them on him, and then walked around his neck to try to tie it. Xiaoyao's face was very close to Xiuyuan. He looked at Xiuyuan's face, so quiet, "Master—We should go back-it's going dark."

Xiaoyao said softly in Xiuyuan's ear, but there was no response.

Xiaoyao was stunned. The smile that had just stretched out on his face froze there. The wind blew over and Xiuyuan's hanging hair slowly moved.

"Master—" Xiaoyao pushed him gently, he didn't dare to exert too much force because he didn't dare to accept this fact. His hand covered the back of Xiuyuan's cold hands. "Master—" Xiaoyao choked up, and he shook Xiuyuan's shoulders, "We should go back, Master—" his voice became lower and lower, and he became hoarse.

Xiaoyao covered her mouth, tears flowed down her cheeks and flowed onto Xiuyuan's hands. Xiaoyao shook Xiuyuan unwillingly, "Master--we're back-----"

The mountain wind blew, and Xiuyuan had no response. He lowered his head, as if he had fallen asleep. Xiaoyao knew that his master Li Xiuyuan would never wake up again in this life.

Xiaoyao leaned his head on Xiuyuan's knee, just like thirty years ago, he leaned against him in a daze, "Master--"

For a long time afterwards, Xiaoyao had been missing Xiuyuan. He remembered his expression when he finally saw Xiuyuan. It was obvious that he knew that he had not had much time and wanted to tell Xiaoyao what had not been settled.
