Chapter 415: Cultivation of Taoism
Qishan Zhenren does not think he can go far in practicing Taoism, but in teaching his disciples, he does not want to mislead his children. In addition to teaching Taoism and virtue, he also teaches the art of seeking true health. The second health preservation is tolerance, because tolerance is the regulating valve for psychological health preservation.
In social interactions, people suffer losses, are misunderstood, and are always aggrieved. When faced with these, the wisest choice is to learn to be tolerant.
Tolerance is a good psychological quality!
It not only contains understanding and forgiveness, but also shows demeanor and mind, strength and strength. A person who cannot tolerate and only knows how to demand others is often in a state of tension, which leads to nerve excitement, blood vessels contract, and blood pressure, causing the psychology and physiology to enter a vicious cycle.
Learning to be tolerant will make you strict with yourself and be lenient with others, which is equivalent to installing a regulating valve on your own psychology.
Third, optimism is the immortal pill of psychological health
Optimism is a positive personality and state of mind.
It can inspire people's vitality and potential, resolve contradictions, and overcome difficulties; while pessimism is a negative and decadent personality and state of mind. It makes people sad, troubled, and painful, and can help them in the face of difficulties, affecting their physical and mental health. "People's mental optimism, accumulate virtue and do good deeds."
The concept of "half of health is mental health" is precisely because it advocates the public to look at and solve problems with an optimistic attitude and a positive attitude, because optimism is an open mind.
When a person is happy, the body secretes endorphins, which can make people feel happy, optimistic and cheerful, and are very beneficial to their health.
Fourth, indifference is an immune agent for psychological health
Indifference means being calm and have few desires and not pursuing fame and fortune. "No seeking is a way to be at ease, and people will be proud of their character when they have no seeking." This shows that indifference is a lofty state and mentality, and a deep positioning of the pursuit of life.
With a indifferent attitude, you will not follow the trend and pursue fame and fortune in the secular world; you will not be overjoyed by things outside of yourself and be deeply saddened by things that are not lost; you will not complain about others in the world and compare and jealous.
A indifferent mentality will always keep people in a peaceful state and maintain a normal mind. All factors that damage physical and mental health will be repelled.
Five, adjusting the spirit is the golden key to health preservation
To adjust your spirit means to keep your mind open and feel comfortable.
The road of life is bumpy and tortuous, and it is inevitable to encounter unsatisfactory things. There are two attitudes to this: one is a positive attitude, open-mindedness, calmness, and calmness, and taking various measures to resolve conflicts; the other is a negative attitude, getting angry and getting angry, which not only does not help, but will hurt feelings, rigid relationships, intensify conflicts, and cause great harm to physical and mental health.
In Taoist health science, there is a saying that "all diseases are caused by qi".
Taoist sect believes that "grudge the liver" and "angry will cause qi to rise". Ejaculation and anger will cause liver dysfunction, causing qi to become disordered, causing qi to flow, and the liver qi to go upward, which is most likely to cause dizziness, headache, chest and rib swelling, red eyes and bitter mouth, tinnitus and deafness, nasal congestion, indigestion and other symptoms, and may even lead to fainting and causing "annihilation to death".
Taoist theory has seven emotions and five ambitions. Any excessive emotional fluctuations will cause damage to the human body, so there is a saying that "worry hurts the lungs, joy hurts the heart, thinking hurts the spleen, anger hurts the liver, and fears hurts the kidneys."
For example, "thinking hurts the spleen", that is, excessive thinking and stagnation of the temper will cause damage to the right side, abnormal transportation and transformation, poor food and dullness, indigestion and other symptoms. People often become pale and thin, and the same is true for excessive happiness.
When understanding the harm of excessive emotions, you should pay attention to adjusting your psychology in life, not be happy by gain, not be sad by loss, and maintain a calm mood, which can prevent the occurrence of diseases. As the saying goes, "A calm and empty, the true energy follows it; keep the spirit inside, and the disease will always be safe."
Ye Bugui believes that Qishan Zhenren may not be a qualified practitioner, but must be a qualified master.
He knew a lot of things, not only taught him how to practice Taoism and maintain health, but also taught the nine principles of Taoism practice. This is a secret secret of cultivation!
Once this secret of practice was told to Ye Bure, it became the last legacy left to him by Qi Shan Zhenren.
Qi Shan Zhenren said that as long as you first achieve immortality, you can fully guarantee your personal practice, make your life more perfect, and dissolve your limited life into the endless universe. This is what Taoism calls the highest level of longevity.
So how to be tranquil? How to remove greed? To achieve enlightenment and achieve enlightenment?
As long as you follow the nine principles of Taoist practice and be able to practice seriously and practice seriously, you can obtain the immortal fruit.
The nine major purposes are:
1. Cultivate Taoism and cultivate virtue, and be internal and external.
To cultivate virtue, practice externally, and practice internally are mind and nature.
The Supreme Lord once said: "The highest good is like water. Water is good for benefiting all things without competing, and is in the way that everyone hates, so it is almost like the Tao." This is to make people do good deeds and accumulate virtue, and in the process of practice, "accumulate virtue and become immortals."
It does not mean that one can become an immortal by practicing internally, so one can become an immortal by doing more internal cultivation and external merits.
"The saints have no permanence and take the heart of the people as their hearts. Those who are good will be good, and those who are not good will be good. Those who believe will believe it, and those who do not believe it will be trusted." This shows that people's external practices are good. This is also good to them. This is people's external practices.
What people’s external behavior should say is: Don’t be attached to my good deeds and virtues, that is, the attachment mind has a thought. The word “greed” itself has not been removed, and people have a thought during the process of practice, which means they want to be attached to doing good things.
Doing good deeds requires doing things without intention, which means practicing and practicing. To become an immortal, you must do one thousand three hundred great good deeds and be persistent in doing good deeds, which is to think.
If you do it without thoughts, as long as you can do it yourself and be kind-hearted, it will be fine.
It is to treat it as a habit bit by bit in daily life. People just walk in this rule and do good deeds at the beginning. This is external skill, and practice and external skill are indispensable.
"Dual cultivation of nature and life" means both internal and external cultivation. Practicing sexual function to improve a person's moral cultivation and noble moral behavior will also bring about improvement in people's cultivation skills. If people keep practicing like this and do good deeds every day, without realizing it, people's internal and external skills will be improved every day.
On the contrary, if you have insufficient virtue, you will have no connection with Tao. No matter how good your internal skills are, you will not be able to do without external virtue.
Practicing Taoism does not distinguish between poverty, humbleness, wealth and honor. It is not possible to cultivate it with money and power. Without money and power, it cannot be cultivated. Everyone is equal in front of Taoism.
The practitioners do not mean that when the powerful and powerful come, they leave the palace to welcome him. When the poor come, they are arrogant. Nothing can do, they must be treated equally.
There is a saying in Taoist sect that is "Tao is not passed down".
Preaching is all fate. A wealthy person does not sell the truth. He gives it to others on the street. This is to give it to someone with fate, otherwise it is not enough to have money.
There is a saying in the process of practice, "Three thousand merits are full of eight hundred practices." Those who want to become celestial immortals should establish one thousand three hundred virtues. Second, the Tao is passed on without sutras, and the teacher is clear about it without sutras.
The Taoist sect uses Tao, sutra, and master as the Three Jewels. Because of Tao, it establishes sutras. It carries the Tao through the sutras, and it carries the Tao and understands the Tao.
If you don’t read and understand, you will not enter the Tao. Only after you have practiced will you enter the Tao.
The great way of desirelessness is what the Taishang Laojun said, "Always have no desires to see the wonders." Those who have no desires are quiet, and the true mind is pure and quiet Tao.
If a person has no desires or thoughts, he can only gain wisdom before he can comprehend the great way, mainly by self-cultivation.
Sutra refers to reciting the essence left by ancestors and confirming their practice. People practice by themselves and then confirming what they leave behind. It is the same different from what the ancestors said. This is the sutra...
The master is the master's teachings. The so-called master's teachings require the master to give a name to the master. The disciple cannot understand these sutras after reading the sutras. These sutras are something that the master has read and practiced before, and then he doesn't understand. If he tells you about his own experience and experience, he can only understand them. When he first starts, he must tell you, otherwise he will not be able to explain them.
