The 588th desire to circulate

Be sure to be vigilant. People should understand their position and think about their virtues and abilities. They can learn such powerful magic or talismans by spending money or a teacher. If they can be widely spread without restrictions, a respected great master will make it public and let the people learn it. Isn’t this beneficial to the country and the people and immeasurable merit?

Being virtuous is also suitable for those who want to learn Taoism and Taoism. Only deep virtue can support the effectiveness of magic.

Some young people enter the Tao and fantasize about worshiping a "god immortal" or "master" as their masters. By becoming a disciple, they can learn powerful magic and supernatural powers, or those who want to practice alchemy, and after becoming a disciple, they can open up the Ren and Du meridians, large and small and large Zhoutian.

Just imagine, there are thousands of people who practice, who are the ones who are first introduced, have better understanding than you, have deeper blessings, and have greater merits. There are many people who have achieved success. Why are there few people who have achieved success? What kind of virtue can you get the favor of this god and immortal?

These are not practical. Practice is a gradual process. You must be down-to-earth, learn slowly, and let everything go naturally.

Only by cultivating the human way, then understanding the immortal way, using the Tao to control the art, using the art to promote the Tao, foster virtue with goodness, and using virtue to cultivate the Tao. Only then can you understand the way of heaven and be perfected.

Every time Zuo Run goes to his fourth uncle's house, his fourth uncle always tells him the story of Ah Mao.

The fourth uncle is old and can easily forget things, but every time he speaks, he always has tears. Zuo Run, a junior, also squats beside him and listens patiently.

Amao is not alone, but a cow from Uncle Fourth's family.

When the fourth uncle first met Amao, Amao was still a calf, but he was sick and even stood up with great effort.

The cow dealer was in a hurry to take action, and the fourth uncle bought it out immediately. For this matter, the fourth aunt also said that the fourth uncle had a fortune and bought a cow that could eat grass. The fourth uncle just smiled silly and then went to find the freshest grass for Amao to eat.

Ah Mao just mooed there, and every time Uncle Fourth came, he rubbed his trouser legs with his cow's nose to show his friendship.

Spring goes and autumn comes. Under the careful care of the fourth uncle, Amao is not only able to walk, but also becomes stronger and stronger.

The oxen that had just plowed the fields in other families were basically scattered and could only plow the fields, but Ah Mao calmly put on the cattle cover and followed his fourth uncle to plow the land.

Whenever the fourth uncle was tired, Amao would lie on the ridge of the field. The fourth uncle was singing a folk song there, and Amao listened quietly there, and occasionally dusted away the insects and mosquitoes on his body with his tail.

The neighbors around were envious when they saw it, and Aunt Fourth was so smiling from ear to ear.

One night, the surroundings were very quiet, but the fourth uncle and fourth aunt couldn't sleep. They tossed and turned for a long time, but there was no sleepiness.

At this time, Uncle Fourth heard the sound of thumping at the back door. Uncle Fourth opened the door and found that Ah Mao was using his horns to the top of the door.

The fourth uncle thought Amao was hungry, so he went to get some grass for Amao to eat. But Amao didn't eat it, so he just bit Uncle Fourth's trouser legs with his mouth and dragged it outward.

No one can compare to his strength, and his fourth uncle's trousers were torn to pieces.

At this time, Aunt Fourth happened to come out. Seeing that Uncle Fourth's pants had been torn, she pulled up the stick next to her and hit Amao.

At this time, Amao also ran towards Aunt Four. Aunt Four thought that Amao was revenge, so she was so scared that she hid inside the house. Amao usually did not enter the main house, but today, she was exceptional, so she bit Aunt Four and dragged it outside.

The fourth uncle and the fourth aunt couldn't resist it, so Amao ran outside the house. But as soon as he came out, the fourth aunt thought that the chicken soup in her kitchen was still stewed, so she walked into the house for fear that it would get messy.

At this time, Amao was standing in front of the house, motionless and letting Aunt Fourth beat and scold him. At this time, Amao was on the ground like an aggrieved child.

Uncle Fourth pulled Auntie No. 4 with distress and told her not to beat her.

After a while, there was a sudden "boom" and the whole house collapsed.

Amao was pressed into the ruins of the falling house. Amao spitted out blood from his mouth and turbid tears at the corners of his eyes.

Later, when people in the village heard the sound, they came and realized what was going on.

It turned out that the old house was under repair for many years, and the pillars had been corroded by termites. Ah Mao did this just to save his uncle and aunt.

Uncle Fourth recalled that the sky was particularly bright that night, and there seemed to be a meteor passing by. Uncle Fourth always said, that was Amao.

Can't stop desire? There are good strategies for Taoism!

People are controlled by excessive desires, which seem to be for themselves, but actually harms themselves, so people need to treat desire correctly. To treat desire correctly, they need to have a correct way of treating desire correctly.

In this regard, Taoist sect has multiple methods to regulate it, and it is summarized into four aspects: do not reveal what causes greed, do not pursue what belongs to greed, see clearly the harm brought by greed, and pursue higher-level things. In short, it is "not to see desire, do not over desire, see clearly the harm, and pursue higher."

Do not see desires, so that the mind will not be confused.

If a person throws money up in the busy city, it will inevitably cause riots among the crowds and disorderly market order. This is a kind of artificial "seeing desire".

Therefore, not revealing things that are sufficient to cause greed and preventing the people's mind from being disturbed is the first method.

The Tao Te Ching says: "Not expensive goods, so that the people will not be robbed; no desire can be seen, so that the people will not be confused."

The Book of Changes says: "Whoever wrote the Book of Changes knows that the thief is? He is carrying it and taking advantage of it, and the enemy will come.' This is the move of the thief."

The person who compiled the "Book of Changes" knows a lot about thieves? It says, "Ride in a gorgeous vehicle with heavy objects on his back will inevitably lead to robbers." This means that thieves were actually attracted by themselves!

When it comes to desire, the Taoist pursuing adaptation to nature and unity between man and nature, which is the so-called "man follows the earth, the earth follows the sky, the sky follows the Tao, and the Tao follows nature."

The Taishang Laojun advocated "inaction". The Taoist thoughts and traditional self-discipline were similar, but they did not emphasize self-discipline and paid attention to "sentimentality".

Taoist thought that people are small in front of nature, so they should adapt to nature and the principles of law. Therefore, for human desires, Taoist focuses on "unblocking".

The first thing to do in the practice of Taoism is to do knowledge and desire. Desire is a thinking activity generated within a certain period of time, not constant, just like: the life and death of heaven and earth, and the movement of life and death of life and death in different periods of time is changing.

Don’t be too desperate, and don’t be humiliated or in danger.

People also need to follow the principle of moderation and know how to cherish what they already have, so they will not be greedy for what they have not yet had.

If you know that satisfaction and stop when you are enough, you will not sink deeper and deeper into the quagmire of greed, you will not suffer the humiliation and danger caused by greed, and you will be able to obtain a long-term peace.

People should not be greedy for other people's things. The important thing is to grasp what they have and learn to cherish.

The concept of desire in the Taoist sect exists independently of any field. It is difficult to produce a form of thinking without a certain wisdom in understanding the Tao. Therefore, here the practitioners express the above personal understanding of desire, and also hope that those who have read these words can have the most intuitive concept of the explanation of desire.

The Tao keeps what it has already had, and does not seek what it has not yet been obtained. If the owner dies, he will die. Follow what he has already had, and what he wants will come.

The Tao Te Ching says: "Be content without being humiliated, knowing to stop without being in danger, and you can last for a long time."

Know greed and see the harm clearly.

Only by understanding greed and seeing clearly the various harms of greed can we truly eliminate greed and avoid greed.

In various and complex greed, people's five senses are subject to various external stimuli and are easily lost and disturbed their inner minds.

Only by understanding the principle of "fewer, more, confusion" can people calm their minds and gain something.

When there are fewer colors, people can easily distinguish them; when there are more colors, they will be dazzled. Various sounds appear at the same time and cannot be heard clearly; various flavors are mixed together, and they cannot know their taste.

When you go out to hunt, the strong will kill the weak; when you catch big fish, the small fish will catch them, and in the end you will be unsteady and restless. Rare wealth will make people behave indiscriminately.

Taishang Laojun said: "The five colors make people blind, the five sounds make people deaf, the five flavors make people feel refreshed, the galloping strategy makes people crazy, and the rare goods are hindering the flow."

Taoism advocates nature, and there must be desires in nature. "The Sutra of the Pure Land Silence": How can desires be born? Since desires do not arise, they are true quiet, and they explain the desires in people's hearts. From the moment people are born, crying loudly is to be able to eat and breathe the air to survive. Is it also a sin to abandon it?

As people grow up, their desire for survival is also changing. This requires people to control their desires and rationalize them. Understand the rationality of their self-desire, which is true tranquility.

Seeing the simple and simple, pursuing higher.

The door to greed cannot lead to happiness. "There is no greater sin than desire, the greatest disaster than not being satisfied, and the greatest fault is to obtain desire." Therefore, we need to start from the opposite side of desire and obtain happiness by "seeing simple and simple, and having fewer selfish desires."

The so-called "simple life" is a kind of "simple" life. It removes all unnecessary burdens, removes random harvesting and destruction of resources and damage to the environment, and only pursues a necessary and simple lifestyle.

A life that respects "Tao" seems simple, but is actually a higher level of life.

People "see simple and simple", show their true nature, keep their simplicity, and do not involve external things. In a simple and simple life, "feel willing to eat, beautify their clothes, live in peace, and enjoy the customs."

In the view of Taishang Laojun, eliminating greed and returning to nature is to open the door to happiness for a lifetime.

Because wishes are simple and natural, and you feel satisfied at all times, this is true and long-lasting happiness.

As the saying goes, "If you want to transform and want to be done, I will suppress it with the nameless simplicity. If you want to be called the nameless simplicity, you will not want it. If you want to be quiet, the world will be upright."

Even if personal greed appears during self-growth, use the simplicity of Tao to guide and control it, and teach people to respect the simple and pure Tao, and they will not develop all kinds of greed.
