30. Goodbye Dream God

Under the bright moonlight, in the desolate beach.
A special "farewell ceremony" is underway.
The demigod Night Jackal, holding a black ritual battle axe, stood on the beach in front of Nekorodamus. She stared at the chopped black wizard under her feet with a pleasant look.
The terrible assassins who had fought for their lives just now had already put away their weapons.
They wore strange robes, and each of them covered their cheeks with hoods, and in this dead dark night, they looked dark and cold.
"Save me!"
Nekorodamus lay on the beach, blood kept flowing out along the scars on his chest and neck.
He could feel life flowing out of his body like flowing water, like a pierced balloon, rapidly becoming dry.
He stretched out his hand toward Ye Jackyak in front of him with difficulty.
The trembling fingers were covered with blood.
His eyes were full of prayers, full of desire for life, like sincere begging, like prayers in despair.
Ye Jackal comes from the underworld, and she is the daughter of the God of the Underworld.
As long as she is willing to help, the dying black wizard can survive.
But will Yezhai help?
"If you fulfill your contract just now, I might help you again."
The female demigod let go of her hand, and the ritual battle axe stood in place like a pillar. She squatted down and looked at the weak black wizard. Her eye sockets painted with strange oil, and her narrow eyes were covered with coldness.
She said:
"Now, I'm happy to be with you and watch you slowly die in pain."
"My father often said that death is easy but the focus is on painful processes, not a clean result."
"As for me, I am not as open-minded as my father."
Ye Jacky sneered.
She stood up and held her ritual battle axe again.
She raised the weird weapon with indifference in her eyes.
She said:
“When there is a good reason to create pain, I will feel satisfied with any violence.”
"We have a contract!"
The black wizard felt the terrible crucifixion was coming, and he struggled like a dying bug, and shouted:
"You can't break the contract!"
"puff"
As soon as he finished speaking, the sharp tail of the ritual battle axe pierced his chest.
It did not pierce the heart, but cut the lung lobe, which prevented the black wizard from dying immediately. He would only suffer more pain before the liberation of death came.
"wrong!"
The night jackal twisted the battle axe.
She listened to the terrible wailing of the people under her feet, which was like the most beautiful music, which made the corners of her mouth curl up.
She stepped on the trembling body of the black wizard and pulled the battle axe out of the flesh and blood.
She said word by word:
"I have a contract with that book, not with you!"
"I reminded you many times when you were pretending to be a tiger. Unfortunately, you still didn't understand the difference between the two. In the past seven months, you have treated me as a servant."
"It's very fulfilling, right?"
Yezhai raised the battle axe again, and she whispered:
"Then, Lord Nekorodamus, let me 'serve' you well."
"puff"
The sound of weapons piercing flesh and blood came again.
This time, the weak black wizard could not even make a sound.
The meanness and hatred in Yezhai's words made him realize that he had no chance of escaping, and he just wanted to die quickly now.
However, he was facing a demigod who walked out of the underworld.
As long as Ye Zhai is willing, he can live with a breath until Ye Zhai vents all the anger and hatred that has accumulated in his heart.
"Let's go, this ugly slaughter is nothing good."
Outside the beach, the witch hunter Victoria took back the sword. She glanced at the night jackal and the black wizard, and said to Layla beside her:
"The mission has been completed, and the next thing has nothing to do with us."
"Although I know that the dark wizard will definitely die."
Layla shrugged, and in the moonlight, she and her partner left the beach side by side, she said:
"But I still think he's a little miserable."
Hearing Layla's sigh, the Assassin Master Miles, who appeared from the shadow, whispered:
"There is so reckless when you are proud, and the pain when you are frustrated. All the hatred in this world does not appear out of thin air."
Behind Miles, John Wick, who had always been silent, also responded:
"No matter when, no matter which world the most arrogant person is, the weakest person is always."
These four assassin masters who took missions were like playing games, each of whom only said one sentence.
Finally, Victoria made the summary.
"The dark wizard can survive until now, not because he is strong enough, but because the master needs him to survive until now."
"As for these despair and pain, it's just a cause."
"Don't say that."
Layla chuckled, she held Victoria's wrist and said like a joke:
"When someone dares to make a deal with the Lord of Hell, he is a real tough guy at first glance. He must have been ready to face the tragic death. We outsiders should not worry about others."
"Speaking of this, I'm even more curious about what kind of reward the Master has prepared for us in New York"
"You'll know if you go and have a look?"
Victoria chuckled.
Under the midnight moonlight, the four assassins quickly disappeared at the end of the beach.
The shrill screams from behind seemed to be a song to say goodbye to them.
In the wasteland hell, Merlin looked at the dark book that was trembling in his hands.
This magical scripture from the original evil god is very disobedient, and it does not seem to think that Merlin is its next holder.
This is normal, too.
After all, there will be no master in the Dark Book. When one holder dies, it will randomly choose the next holder and constantly abandon one guy after another.
Just like a bird without feet, it will never stay for anyone.
This is the rule set by the mysterious Great Demon Shadow Sithorne when making this book.
Unless it is ruined, this rule will continue.
Fortunately, Merlin was not eager to keep this book that would only bring endless misfortunes to the holders in his own hands.
"Don't move! Don't jump! Don't howl"
Merlin pressed the restless black book dictionary with one hand.
The orange light suppressed the surface of the book, but there were signs of being unable to suppress it.
“I just need a page of paper.”
Merlin said to the book:
"Just like last time, I only tear down one page and let you go. I have no intention of imprisoning you to cooperate a little, okay?"
The struggle of the Dark Book weakened a little.
It seemed to understand Merlin's words.
The moment Merlin let go of her finger, the book spread out strangely, and a page of paper stood in front of Merlin's eyes. It was swaying, full of an impatient posture.
This means very obvious.
Tear off the paper quickly.
It was not interested in continuing to stay in this wasteland and this ghost place.
"I really have a personality."
Merlin complained.
He reached out and held the paper standing upright in front of him. With the sound of the paper tearing, the empty white paper was torn off from the body of the Dark Book.
Merlin looked at the white paper flipped in his palm, and under his gaze, the torn paper quickly changed the texture.
After just a few seconds, it became what it used to be parchment.
Just lay quietly in Merlin's palm.
The spreading book of darkness suddenly closed at this moment, and the space around it shaking, and the book was about to leave here.
"etc!"
Merlin's finger pressed again on the quaint cover of the Dark God Book, preventing it from leaving.
He said:
"Contract about Night Jackal"
"roar!"
A low roar rang in Merlin's mind, like a will questioning anger.
Obviously, Merlin's request to make the Dark God Book leave the wrath, it is asking Merlin why she interferes with the rules of its existence.
The contract between the Night Jackal and the Dark Book of God was not fulfilled.
In fact, at the moment when the Dark Book abandoned the Black Wizard, the Night Jackal did not meet Neko Rodamus's request.
"I'm not trying to mess around on purpose."
Merlin frowned and said to the black book in front of him:
"But I don't believe that you can't understand what the dark wizard did. He is just abused the contract. He found your loophole and extended the content of a contract to countless."
"If you have to reason, then I think Ye Zhai has served him for more than 7 months, and the so-called contract should have been completed long ago!"
"She deserves freedom!"
The book of the Dark God kept beating in Merlin's hands.
It was like a irritable and unacceptable naughty child, neither refuting Merlin's explanation nor willing to complete the contract.
The two sides began to have a stalemate.
This made a flash of fire flash in Merlin's blue eyes, but soon he calmed down. He turned his head to look at the parchment in his palm, and a smile appeared on his face.
Merlin held the irritating Dark Book of God with one hand and spread the parchment paper with the other hand and placed it on the table.
The orange light appeared in his hands and gathered into a quill.
Merlin wrote on parchment:
"How can I convince it?"
This scene is as always.
In Merlin's gaze, a big, graffiti-like smile appeared on the parchment paper like a simple stroke.
The lines jumped rapidly and quickly reorganized a passage.
“Not convinced.”
"The Book of the Dark God, the Scroll of Sithorne, the Book of Sin, the Book of Death, etc., are all alias for the book divine deeds in your hand. It represents the evil deeds of the original evil god, and the mockery and betrayal of fate."
"It is like a greedy glutton, stubbornly unwilling to give up every captured soul, and it is unreasonable to reason with it."
"But inability to convince does not mean it cannot be cracked, just like the greedy person will never give up the gold stacked in front of him. You cannot erase that contract, but you can replace it with a richer bait."
"The only question is, what kind of contract can satisfy such a greedy Dark Book?"
The parchment seems to be provoking Merlin's courage, and a warning appears on its surface:
"It will never have a master, but it does not mean it cannot be used by you."
Merlin looked at the line of words.
His eyes were full of thought.
A moment later, his finger flicked, and the broken soul of Maharaja Malduk appeared in his fingers.
He approached the soul near the Dark Book, which was like a beast that smelled flesh and blood. The trembling that was almost escaping quickly turned into an extreme desire.
It does not need to rely on devouring souls to survive.
It just wants this soul, very pure and greedy.
"I'll replace Night Jackal Razan with it."
Merlin said to the Dark Book:
"I will sacrifice it to you, and you will let Razan go for free?"
The Dark Book became quiet.
This guy seems to be thinking about gains and losses.
A few seconds later, it projected a piece of information into Merlin's mind, making Merlin laugh.
"Your appetite is really big, I won't give you my soul, but we can change our requirements, for example, all the souls I hunt in the future will be distributed to you by one percent until the day when I fail or die of old age."
"Buzz"
The Dark Book burst out with a dark magic power, pulling the soul in Merlin's hand into his own body.
It means the establishment of a transaction.
Merlin laughed, and he picked up the book of the Dark God and handed it to Icarus standing beside him, and he said to Icarus:
"Take it back to the mysterious house, give it to Xuanlan, put it in the storage room, and don't let others touch it."
Mechanical Ji nodded and turned around and left with the Dark Book.
After Icarus took a few steps, Merlin said without looking back:
"You are not allowed to read it yourself!"
Ji Ji's steps stopped, and the lady with long blue hair curled her lips, her little thoughts were seen through.
If this book is really as magical as the legend, then it must know how to turn a mechanical life into real flesh and blood?
But since Merlin asked
Then forget it.
Icarus did not intend to disobey Merlin because there was no need to conflict with him in these matters.
After Icarus left, Merlin looked at the parchment.
This time he didn't write anything, and there were still handwriting on the parchment.
Like a greeting for a long time.
It also looks like the politeness of meeting for the first time.
In short, on the thin parchment paper, under a big, simple-painted, strange smile, there was a sentence like a flash of fire.
"Hello, Merlin."
Merlin smiled, and he picked up the orange quill and wrote it carefully on the parchment paper.
"Hello, God of Dreams."
Chapter completed!
