13. The world(1/2)

When Officer Joe West of Central City Police Department brought his colleagues to the train derailment site, he was surrounded by reporters who were rushing to the broken tunnel.

These guys came too fast, almost 30 minutes after the trapped people escaped from the central city area.

Derailment incidents are rare, especially in small cities like Central City, which will not happen in several years.

This naturally attracted the attention of the media.

Of course, their focus is on the other hand in addition to the rapid rescue of the accident and the huge number of survivors.

"My God, did you use a bomb?"

After the young officer West saw the tunnel entrance, which was piled up together and blocked the various cargo and carriages at the entrance of the tunnel, and the large hole that was blown out from the center, the capable black officer couldn't help but exclaim.

"No, Joe."

A reporter who is familiar with Officer West just finished the report and said to the officer beside him with a suspicion:

"This is not a trace left by the bomb explosion. You know, I worked in the army for a while. In fact, unless the trapped people call a tank over, you have to use a huge amount of explosives to blow up such a big hole in an obstacle with a width of 7 meters. And it is impossible to explode so smoothly."

The reporter narrowed his eyes. He looked at the steel that had solidified again around the big hole. A trace of elegance flashed in his eyes. He said:

"No doubt, this has something to do with supernatural powers!"

"You have no doubt just encountered something related to supernatural powers, little girl."

Agent Nick Frey, carrying a black box, took off the cool toad mirror, and looked at the stubborn little girl in front of him with a embarrassed look.

The latter was sitting in his suitcase, drinking hot coffee with nonchalance and a blanket wrapped around her body. Her mother was with her daughter with a worried look on her face, staring at the man in front of her with a vigilant look from time to time with a vigilant look on her face.

"More than 10 people told me, little girl, you are the first person to discover this gap."

Fury squatted down, and the capable agent tried hard to make his expression look gentle.

However, the sharp temperament he developed as a former elite soldier and military intelligence officer made him really not suitable to play the role of "intimate uncle".

The cunning little girl in front of her didn't even hate him, and she wasn't even afraid of him.

Fury patiently said to the little girl who turned her face to the other side:

"So you must have seen something, little girl, I'm here to help you. No matter what you see, you should tell me."

"But I didn't see anything."

The little girl sat on her suitcase, her calves shaking back and forth. She tilted her head and looked at Fury in front of her. She said with disgust:

"I heard the sound, ran over, and then saw a big hole and the uncles and aunts came, and we were saved. I just said the same to the beautiful young reporter. Why don't you believe me!"

The little girl seemed angry. She turned her head and looked at her mother, begging with a pitiful look:

"Mom, mom, Americans hate it! I don't like this anymore, let's go home."

"Okay, okay, my poor little baby."

The mother with bleeding sticks on her forehead bent down and hugged her baby daughter in her arms. She glared at the innocent Agent Fury and said to her daughter:

"We'll go back to London right away, baby, your dad must be worried."

After saying that, the lady ignored the embarrassing Fury, and she dragged her suitcase and was about to leave.

The clever little girl lay on her mother's shoulder. She grimaced at Agent Freit with pride and shouted in a tender voice:

"Goodbye, big uncle."

"Also, my name is not a little girl, my name is Hermione! Hermione Jane Granger, I'm very happy to see you! Sir, good luck!"

Fury watched Miss Hermione leave. This experienced agent was sure that the little girl in front of him must have known some inside information about this supernatural phenomenon, but he could not torture a little girl to confess.

Although Fury has seen many dark things and even carried out many dark actions with his own hands.

But he thinks he is still a bottom line.

The agent looked at the black suitcase in his hand, which contained the dangerous items he had just recovered from Chicago. Just 6 hours after the explosion, another paranormal phenomenon occurred in the Central City area not far from Chicago.

Fury didn't think it was a coincidence.

He looked back at the big hole that was blown up at the entrance of the tunnel. The tunnel that was obviously blown up by some force made him think of the explosion in Chicago.

He had a premonition that this should be the work of the same creature.

But he had no clue at hand.

"Hey, don't touch me! You damn guys!"

A full voice sounded behind Fury. The agent turned around and saw an old man lying on a stretcher quarreling with several Central City policemen.

The old man seemed to be injured, but his roaring looked like an old lion.

"I said everything, I don't know anything, I don't remember anything! You see, I'm just a poor old man, maybe I'm suffering from some hell of amnesia, so don't bother me!"

"Mr. Stan, we have no other meaning, we just want to ask you to describe it."

"Get out! Don't touch me! I have human rights!"

Seeing that the old man lying on the stretcher had already swung his crutches to drive away the innocent policemen, Fury shook his head.

There was nothing good to watch here anymore, and he was not interested in the quarrel between the old man and the police.

The only clue related to this supernatural event is about to leave the United States and return to London, which means that there is no point in Agent Freer staying here.

The Strategic Science Legion has a lot of affairs, and the institution that has been in operation for more than 50 years is seeking transformation, but there is not much time left for senior agents like Fury to waste.

He put on his toad glasses again, looked around, then lowered his body into a black sedan. Amid the buzzing of the engine, Agent Fury quickly drove onto the highway and quickly left the scene.

He had a premonition that the life that caused two strange explosions would appear again sooner or later.

He just needs to wait patiently.

"I killed a liar and saved more than 230 people. Such a serious derailment, but there were only a few casualties. Someone could walk and leave on their own. Is this really God's blessing? Or, what is the secret in this?"

Fury was driving while thinking about it. And the next moment, his foot suddenly stepped on the brakes, and the black car suddenly vibrated and stopped quickly on the side of the road.

Agent Freer quickly discovered the point of this matter.

He quickly opened the file and took a few glances.

"Well, how many uninjured people left by themselves?"

A light flashed in Fury's narrowed eyes:

"Yes, he left"

Thinking of this, he quickly picked up the phone and dialed a number.

"Is Officer Joe West? I am Nick Fury, a senior agent of the Strategic Science Legion. I need you to send police officers to search the tunnel immediately! Yes! Do it immediately!"—

Central City, a small city located in the northern United States, takes about 6 hours to get here by train from Chicago.

This unknown small city was once a famous aviation rocket research and development city in the United States in the last era. Even now that the plan to explore space is gradually coming to an end, there are still several top and world-class technology laboratories in the United States in Central City.

This is a city full of books, and those who live here are proud of this bookish spirit.

But to be honest, the climate here is not very good at this time.

Just this morning, a heavy rain fell in Central City and the surrounding areas. The rain was so heavy that even the cleaning of the train tunnels and the search of the police that caused discussion had to be paused.

Almost no one is going to travel in such heavy rain except lunatics and homeless people.

Merlin belongs to the latter.

At this time, he was curled up in the corner of Central City Street, covered with a dirty blanket.

Although the heavy rain had stopped, there were still drifting drops of rain that kept hitting Meilin's face, making him, who was already cold, feel the malice of fate towards him again.

It was a bad feeling to travel through the rail lines outside the city to the central city area for hours in the night rain.

What's worse is that Merlin feels like she's sick.

Just like a person with a cold and fever, he felt sore and weak all over his body, and almost every bone was soft.

Although he had wrapped his clothes to the tightest, Merlin still couldn't feel any warmth. The cold, creeping cold came from the depths of his bone marrow and spread across his body. He curled up on the corner of the street, shivering with coldness.

He could feel his teeth colliding, and every breath could even bring out air conditioning that was visible to the naked eye.

This is definitely not because of the rain.

Merlin guessed that this should be related to the incident where he was dragged into the power rush twice in a short period of time. This was the power in his body "warning" him that his physical strength at this time could not support the two consecutive magic explosions.

It's like going crazy overdrawing the future.

"It's time to leave."

Merlin trembled and struggled to stand up, and he felt as if he had been completely frozen. But he had been here for a long time and he had to leave the block before bad luck accumulates.

The 6-hour boundary forced Merlin to find a way to leave.

He hasn't had a good sleep for a long time.

His physical strength and his spirit have reached their limits.

And we all know that when you are extremely tired, normal people should choose to rest instead of running around, because this is very dangerous

Just like now.

"ah!"
