49. Father and son meet(1/2)

"Swish"

In the twist of light, Merlin came to the corner of an office in a university in Spain. This large office was filled with books, all kinds of books, ancient, brand new, covers, or cheap prints.

As many as a thousand books, they are placed on several large bookshelfs and placed side by side in the corners of the wall, occupying almost half of the office.

The remaining half is a slightly luxurious mahogany desk and a carpet with a suitable cut.

This is the office of Dr. Elliott Randolph, a famous European historian and occultist. He has spent most of his 40 years here. It is worth mentioning that he is also the first person to fully translate the original version of "Nordic Myth".

The documents he translated were not stories of children's bedside, but the original Nordic myths written in the incomplete Lun runes, which means that this doctor is one of the few scholars around the world who are fully familiar with the mysterious and obscure Lun runes.

This brought him great glory to the literary world, and some even nominated him for winning the Nobel Prize in Literature, but was rejected by Dr. Randolph, who was indifferent to fame and fortune by nature.

Of course, he rejected this honor not because he was really indifferent to fame and fortune, but because he didn't want to show off, let alone cause trouble.

After all, this Dr. Randolph is not a native earthling.

"I said, next time you come here, can you knock on the door first?"

Dr. Randolph, who was lying on the table and writing something, was the guy who looked a little thin and gray-haired, without raising his head, and said to Merlin, who walked out of the corner of the bookshelf in the room:

"I often have students here, and you may frighten them."

"Oh? Student?"

Merlin flicked her finger and took off a book with faint magic from the bookshelf. While reading it, she casually said:

"It's those female students who have a bad relationship with you?"

""

The doctor stopped writing and drawing. He raised his head and looked at Merlin. He said:

"You investigate me?"

"I'm an agent, Dr. Randolph."

Merlin replied as usual:

"If I don't investigate you, that's a strange thing, right? But I have to say that judging from your disguised age, you are really energetic. Four lovers, I really don't know how you coordinate your relationship with them."

“It’s very simple.”

Dr. Randolph reached out and took off his gold-rimmed glasses, and he said to Merlin:

"They are just some kind of spiritual comfort between me and me. I am not a person who is addicted to carnality. I was tired of that kind of game as early as a thousand years ago. You know, for men, not controlling the lower body will always make the problem quite bad. Of course, I know that you are here not to discuss these physiological matters with me. So, I guess, what I have entrusted you with is a good idea?"

"Um."

Merlin put down the magic book in his hand that introduced primary meditation, then took out his pocket watch and looked at it. He said to the doctor in front of him:

"At most two hours, your son, Mr. Skolchi, the guard of the Palace, will ride the Rainbow Bridge to the earth. I think you should be prepared."

Merlin looked up and down at Dr. Randolph's outfit and said:

"Take a haircut, fix a dough, and change your clothes. If you plan to invite him home for a meal, it's better to let those little lovers move out of your house. I mean, Mr. Skolch may be in a bad mood when he sees those women."

"What? You said he is coming to Earth?"

Now, Dr. Randolph's expression of calmness and disgrace could not be maintained.

He stood up from the chair and supported his hands on the table. He looked at Merlin and said:

"Are you sure you're not kidding? How did you contact him?"

"this."

Merlin took out the family emblem of Vostag and shook it in front of Randolph. When the latter saw the emblem, his eyes suddenly shrank, and he said:

"The Warhammer Dwarf Emblem of the Mirsier Castle in Wat Alheim! Odin is on it, how did you get this thing? Those dwarves have the same brain as stones! They don't even bother to deal with strangers."

"Because of some special encounters."

Merlin didn't want to talk too much about his work, he briefly said:

"You can understand it as we met unexpectedly. Anyway, the dwarf helped me. He is now taking your son through the Rainbow Bridge, but because the Rainbow Bridge between Asgard and the Earth is blocked, they need to apply through layers of applications."

Speaking of this, Merlin asked with a little curiosity:

"The dwarf mentioned the goalkeeper Heimdal several times. Do you know that person? Is this Heimdal really as powerful as described in Nordic myths?"

"The Heimdal described in myth is not as tenth as the real Heimdal."

Dr. Randolph quickly packed up his own things and was about to get off work early, while saying to Merlin:

"Heimdal is the number one general under Odin's command. He was once Odin's glory executioner. His strength ranks at the forefront of the entire nine kingdoms, especially when he is connected to the Rainbow Bridge, the power he can use is almost infinite. His eyes were released by the witches with special magic, and he can see anything that happened in the nine kingdoms."

"I used to fight side by side with him, and I have to say that even though I was disappointed with the entire Asgard, I still maintain enough respect for Heimdal."

Randolph raised his head and looked over his head, and he whispered:

"I know. He can see me and forgive me."

"Okay, I'm going home and sorting it out now. Can I ask you to help my son bring back my house with the guests in Asgard?"

Dr. Randolph said to Merlin:

"I'll find a way to make a table of dishes that suit the Asgardian tastes, oh, of course, your reward."

This mature guy blinked at Merlin:

"That thing is right at my house. I'm ready, and now there's only one last step left."

Merlin, who leaned against the bookshelf, shrugged, and said:

"Of course, I'm happy to help, and I hope the reward you give me in the end will satisfy me."

"Don't worry, you will be satisfied."

The doctor laughed, told Merlin the address of a villa mansion outside Seville, and quickly left the office.

Nearly two hours later, in the evening, Merlin stood in a rarely visited mountainous land more than ten kilometers away from Seville City. The emblem in his hand was vibrating faster and faster, as if it was the owner of the emblem to appear.

This thing is a locator.

As Merlin's gaze, a bright beam of light appeared in the night sky, like a bolt of lightning, penetrated the sky and finally landed several meters ahead of him. Just like last time, it lasted for a short time and then dissipated into the air.

In the black scorched magic array left by the light column, two people stood.

It was a robe, 1.6 meters tall, like a wine barrel, with a big beard, and a strong young man standing behind him wearing a black armor and carrying a battle axe, 1.8 meters tall.

"Ah, Meadgart's friend Merlin."

The dwarf opened his arms and shouted to Merlin:

"We're meeting again."

"I'm also very happy to see you, my Asgard friend."

Merlin shook his hand and threw a bottle of spirits prepared in advance to the dwarf. The latter took it in his hand, twisted the cap, sniffed it, and shrugged it, and said to Merlin:

"This wine is average, but I guess you must have spent some time looking for it. Although it doesn't suit the Asgardian tastes, it's also a good fit. This is the friend's wish."

He laughed and drank the bottle of wine in one go.

Merlin looked at the young man with black armor standing beside Vostag. He had weird hair, as if he had been shaved to a bald head, and then applied some kind of war makeup on his scalp with black paint, and had a short beard. He looked majestic with his armor.

However, a hint of doubt, a light mixed with expectation and anger in his eyes at this moment was beating.

This made Merlin feel a little bad for the upcoming father-son meeting. It seems that Randolph's son does not agree with his father's actions of "escape" Asgard.

But this has nothing to do with Merlin. He has no reason to intervene in Dr. Randolph's family affairs. He just wants to fulfill his promise.

"plz follow me."

Merlin pointed to the rented car beside him and said to Vostag and Skolchi:

"Mr. Elliott has prepared a meal in his house, and he is waiting for your arrival."

"Oh, Earthlings' car."

The dwarf walked to the front of Merlin's rental car. He looked at the very luxurious car and said to Merlin:

"There are also old antiques that look very similar to this car in the Antique Museum in Wat Alheim. The dwarfs in my hometown made this kind of oil-burning thing more than 1,000 years ago, but we abandoned this backward means of transportation hundreds of years ago."

While he opened the car door a little clumsyly and sat on the leather seat in the back seat, he kept chattering to Merlin:

"I have a hot sand consortium's latest floating shuttle in my mine. If you have the opportunity to go to Wat Alheim, I can take you to race on the slag plain. There is also a wine cabinet here. I really like this place more and more."

The dwarf was soon attracted by the small wine cabinet placed in the carriage. He opened the wine cabinet, looked at the various fine wines placed inside, and then began to drink by himself.

In the passenger seat next to Merlin, Skolchi looked silently at the front of the vehicle. After Merlin drove a few kilometers, he suddenly spoke and asked in a slightly hoarse voice:

"Gen. Merlin, General Vostag told me that you are a powerful man in Midgart. So, can you tell me, Elliot Randolph, is he still doing well on earth?"

"You should call him father."

Merlin said calmly while driving:

"Although I know you may have some resentment towards him, I also know that Asgard is a country that maintains its advanced state while maintaining tradition, so you should respect your father."

"Father? Haha"

Skolchi smiled and said:
