58. The Call of the Brotherhood--Happy Birthday to Motherland(2/2)
Merlin stared at Bruce and said:
"You always seem to like to face all the trouble alone, but what I want to remind you is that you have friends."
"I think I can handle it."
The Gotham rich man shrugged, he picked up his glass and said to Merlin:
"But it turns out that the water in this matter is much deeper than I thought Talia, why don't you take Miss Hill to see your new clothes? I think you will be very good friends."
Bruce turned his head and said to Talia, who immediately stood up and said to Bruce:
"OK, dear."
She looked back at Hill, and she made a "please" position:
"Please come with me, Miss Hill, let the men continue to talk about boring topics. Let's go and see my collection. I have a skirt that suits you very much."
Hill certainly understood that Talia wanted to take her away from here and create a separate environment for Merlin and Bruce. What they had to talk about was definitely something that was not suitable for her to hear.
She glanced at Merlin, who nodded to her, signaling that she didn't need to worry.
So Hill stood up, she tidied up her skirt, and obediently followed Talia out of the suite.
After the lady left, Bruce's gentle expression of the disguised business giant disappeared immediately. His face became serious. He took out a silver badge from his pocket and placed it in front of Merlin.
"This was placed on my bedside with that invitation."
"It looks like a logo of the Assassin League."
Merlin picked up the badge, which was a sharp white logo on it, which looked like the look of the sleeve sword popping out, which was very similar to the logo of the Assassin League. However, when Merlin looked carefully, she found that the color logo was slightly different from the logo of the Assassin League.
It lacks some cumbersome details and maintains a simple and rustic style.
"Brother of Assassins"
Merlin held the sign in his hand tightly, and he remembered the stories about the assassin he told him when Lars Al Goul died. He looked at Bruce and said:
"They summoned you, Lars El Goul, told me that there are few real assassins in this era. Now it seems that he is wrong. Perhaps even Lars El Goul, who claims to be the last inheritor of the Assassin Brotherhood, has been misled. Perhaps, those arrogant assassins disdain to admit that the Demon Head is one of them."
"The assassins have been hiding in the shadows and they have never died."
Merlin touched his arm and said softly:
"Bruce"
"You are called and you have to respond."
