24. Things Merlin never told you (middle)
"This thing is so exquisite."
On the top floor of the Trident Building, in the dark night of dawn, Dr. Reed, who was still tired, was carefully assembling a seemingly complicated thing.
While he placed the mechanical module the size of a fist, which emits green light inside, on the information transmitting tower on the top of the Trident building, he inserted the data interface of the module into the dense and complex sockets of the information transmitting tower.
"If Merlin hadn't told me that this thing was an ultra-television transmitter, I would have thought it was some kind of alien energy device."
Behind Dr. Reed, a Level 7 tech agent of SHIELD, has been completely bald in recent years, but has a bearded Dr. Hall, while typing complex program instructions on the keyboard, said to Dr. Reed:
"If we can use this to study the structure of this remote module, maybe we can get a lot of new technologies from it."
"yes."
Dr. Reed, one of the smartest guys in the world, nodded in agreement and said:
"Learning the knowledge of Cybertrons can quickly improve the level of mechanical technology and information technology of the earth. We should be close to some Cybertrons to study and make progress together. Anyway, they have lost their home planet. As long as they are not malicious, the earth can become their second hometown."
Dr. Reed Richards quickly connected all the data interfaces. He took a few steps back, flipped his waist, and looked at the remote module that had been activated. He turned around and said to Dr. Hall:
"You can enter the planet's coordinates, oh, by the way, don't forget the 'identification information' that Agent Merlin specifically instructed."
"Yeah, I won't forget."
While entering the coordinates of the Decepticon Base in the Sahara Desert, Dr. Hall took out a note from his pocket, which was handed to him by Merlin.
But what surprised Dr. Hall was that the note was not written at all as humans or Cybertronics.
That is a special rune language.
"Oh, Lun Rune."
Reed, who was standing next to Dr. Hall, turned his head and glanced, and said:
"Mythical texts that have been lost in Nordic areas have long been lost. I didn't expect that Mr. Merlin, who was blinded with me, was also a historical researcher. But I was curious why he used this rune as the identification information for us and the moderates of the Cybertron?"
"Um"
Dr. Hall used a scanner to scan the completely unrecognizable Rune into the computer, then compiled it into the remote module in front of him that can put information into a distant star, and then said to Reed in a guessing tone:
"It's probably for the sake of confidentiality. After all, the information we sent may be intercepted by the savage Decepticon Cybertrons."
"Yeah?"
Dr. Reed asked in doubt. The smart man looked at the remote module that flashed in front of him, rubbed his forehead. He felt that things should not be that simple.
Just as S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists sent the information and coordinates of summoning Bopai Autobots to the stars, in a low-key villa on the outskirts of Seville, the famous European historian Elliot Randolph was chatting with a secret visitor in his garden.
To be precise, I was chatting with his son who came from afar.
Skolch Randolph, the Golden Palace guard from Asgard's divine realm, sat at the table in the garden, filled with all kinds of food in front of him. He ate and drank silently, while his father sat on the other side of the table, looking at him with a smile.
"What's the matter with you asking me for?"
The Asgardian, who had finished gnawing a roasted lamb at a quick speed, rudely picked up the tablecloth and wiped his hands. The Asgardian warrior with a weird hairstyle looked at his father impatiently, and he said:
"You know, I can't stay for too long. Although the gatekeeper Heimdal has opened up to me because of your reasons, giving me the power to pass the Rainbow Bridge, leaving the post without permission is a taboo for the attendant of the Golden Palace. I don't want to lose my job because of you."
Randolph didn't care about his son's bad tone. The relationship between the father and son is still very awkward, but it is much better than when he first started to contact him.
He pushed a portion of fish soup to his son and said:
"What glory does it have to say about you going to watch Odin? Why not quit your job and come to the earth? I have left you a lot of property, enough for you to be free for hundreds of years. Although this place is a little behind, as long as you adapt to this world, you will find that life here is much better than boring Asgard."
Skolch scooped some soup for himself, and he lowered his head to drink the soup while saying:
"We've talked about this before, old man, I'm very suspicious that you came to me today to have a fight."
"Okay, okay."
Randolph picked up a pipe with diamonds and crystals inlaid with some annoyance. He lowered his voice while smoking, and said to Skolchi, his only son:
"We talk about serious business, which is a great thing for your future in Asgard."
"Listen to me, Skolchi, I have received some news. There are a group of mechanical thugs from the stars, those Decepticons who burn, kill, loot and fight wantonly outside the Galaxy. I think you should have heard of them. In short, this group of evil guys are planning to invade the nine kingdoms ruled by Asgard and protected. Their first target is Midgart."
"real?"
According to the age standards of Asgardians, Skolchi was a standard passionate young man. When he heard his father's words, he immediately stopped drinking soup. He said to his father:
"Where did you get the news? Is it accurate?"
"Look at this."
Old Randolph took out a tablet from his hand and threw it to his son. Skolch opened the platform computer and saw a video that was playing. The scene was a scene where a human army was fighting a violent giant steel scorpion in the desert.
That kind of tragic and heroic war scene cannot be faked.
"Their vanguards have begun to blatantly try to destroy the world order, my son."
Randolph smoked his pipe while looking at his stupid son, and he said slowly:
"So you don't have to doubt the authenticity of this news, let me tell you that you will go back to Asgard later and hand over the news and the evidence to General Vostag, and then let the dwarf not make any noise and go to Prince Thor."
"Why is it so troublesome?"
Skolchi retorted it with some unknown reason:
"As long as the entire Decepticon fleet is not coming, relying on General Vostager's legion, they can be blocked from the solar system. If the Sky-Bike Fighter Legion is dispatched, they can be easily destroyed!"
"Oh, your way of thinking is exactly the same as mine back then."
Randolph sighed helplessly. He took off his pipe and explained slowly to his son:
"You will not make friends at all. My son, listen to me, just follow my advice and give this military achievements and the honor of protecting the vassal state to Prince Thor. Do you know that you want to be friends with him and the confidant generals around him?"
"Why should I be friends with His Highness the Prince?"
Skolchi said honestly:
"I don't like this kind of conspiracy."
"This is not a question of whether you like it or not!"
Old Randolph's tone became stern, and he scolded:
"Odin is old. Thor will become a king in the future. Being friends with the king in advance will allow you to have a bright future in the next era of Asgard! Don't you desire glory? Don't you want to be a general? Listen to me, my son will do what I said, not only will you gain precious friendship from the prince, but the glory you desire will never leave you."
"Oh, by the way, there's this."
Randolph took out a note from his pocket and handed it to his silent son, and he told him:
"The people on Earth can solve the Decepticons who invaded the world by themselves, but they have also found a group of allies for themselves, those Cybertron moderates, who will enter the solar system in the past ten hours, so don't hurt them by chance. This is the identification information of both sides. When encountering the Asgard fleet, those Cybertrons will take the initiative to send this signal."
Skolchi nodded, he took the note and spread it open, and saw a sentence written on it using the Lun rune used by the Asgardians.
"Salute to the great Majesty Odin! The Autobots are always peaceful!"
"puff"
Skolch almost squirted out the fish soup from his mouth, he said:
"Is this too straightforward?"
"To identify information, the more straightforward the information, the better."
Old Randolph waved, and he said:
"Anyway, just remember what I told you. Since you want to continue to develop your career in Asgard, then as a father, I can only support you and help you. You must remember that children, as a soldier, fight bravely and not fear strong enemies, are important, but rational use of strategies and seeking benefits for yourself!"
"Go and do it well. Don't rush to make decisions when encountering important things. You have been assimilated into stone heads by your companions."
Randolph smoked his pipe and said to his son:
"If you have any questions, ask me first. If I'm not here, I'll go find Merlin. You've seen him. That guy is full of bad water. He will definitely help you make the best decision. Do you understand?"
"I don't like him."
Skolchi picked up the tablecloth and wiped his mouth, and the Asgardian whispered:
"He reminded me of the darkness between Loki and the others, and the shadow on him was stronger than Loki."
"I told you just now!"
Old Randolph scolded him with a headache, and a little regretful:
"This is not a question of whether you like it or not. I know the freedom to live, but you have to learn to compromise! Merlin is trustworthy, provided that you don't stand opposite him and you are different from other Asgardians. You have to always remember that you have a way out, do you understand?"
"If you encounter something in Asgard, you can continue to make a living on Earth, and if you are forced to live on Earth, Merlin's friendship is very important to you."
"My child."
Randolph sighed, and he reached out and patted Skolchi on the shoulder, he said:
"It's all for your own good."
"Go back and get this done quickly. Merlin is still waiting for news."
"Fry, you're very quiet tonight."
In Pierce's temporary safe room, Pierce was lying on the hospital bed and was watching Fury, who was sitting in a chair, watching the battle of the S.H.E.L.D. Special Reaction Forces and the Decepticon beasts, the S.H.I.E.L.D., and the S.H.I.E.L.D., and the S.H.I.E.L.D., and the S.A.T.
Under the command of Colonel George Burns, the special reaction force poured at least hundreds of rockets towards the giant. Although the Cybertronians had amazing defense, they were surrounded by crazy and damaged radar and information collectors, and the balance of victory was moving towards the human side.
But the sudden appearance of Meg Crane destroyed all this. Fury watched with his own eyes the terrifying silver-gray robot easily destroyed all human positions with lightning-like shelling, forcing humans to flee in panic.
Fortunately, the Decepticons did not pursue them.
Fury's face was still calm, and he didn't seem to be worried about the failure in front of him.
"Remind me of the way Ms. Carter was waiting for the results when we followed Ms. Carter on a mission. You seemed to be very confident in your subordinates."
Pierce put down the book at hand, and he said:
"Not just having confidence in Merlin, and, Fury, weren't you angry about the World Security Council's choice to summon helpers? I thought you would protest against me"
"That's no longer a problem."
Fury said:
"Merlin told me that he would solve that problem, and he also told me that the reinforcements the Decepticons were waiting for would never come."
"I don't know how he did it, what gave him confidence."
Fury looked back at Pierce, shrugging, and he said:
"But I, like you, chose to believe him."
"Oh, is that?"
Pierce nodded with a smile. The old man leaned against the hospital bed, picked up the book at hand, and he whispered:
“That’s the right choice.”
"Merlin is such a person. He will never disappoint those who expect him, and will not be in the future, nor will he."
"It seems that we can spend tonight with peace of mind."
