42. Reid's Project Stellaris(2/2)

"His Excellency Dum appeared in Latvinia, a small Eastern European country two years ago. It was not his hometown. It was a backward small country surrounded by Hungary and Serbia, with a sense of existence. The feudal system was still maintained. A week after he returned to his hometown, a coup occurred in Latvinia, the former king was killed, the cabinet was cruelly cleaned, and the whole country fell into chaos for half a month."

"But soon, a shadow government was established, they elected a new prime minister, reorganized the government structure, and quickly ended the war, but closed the borders to the outside world and expelled all diplomats... Guess who was behind this coup?"

Merlin put down the papers and looked at Dr. Reid, he said:

"And according to some of my friends in the magic world, Latvinia is one of the important gathering places for wizards in Eastern Europe, and that Excellency Dum seems to be a powerful spellcaster. In that coup, our agents detected the remains of a large-scale release of the mind spell."

"I want to ask, Reid, was he a wizard during the years you and Doom?"

"this..."

Reed hesitated to Merlin:

"I don't know, because I hadn't been exposed to magic at that time, but now I think that when we were students, there were indeed some strange situations around Dum, and when we were not enemies, I heard Dum say that he left his hometown and came to New York to learn the power of technology and save his mother's soul..."

"He said his mother's soul fell into the hands of a big demon."

Reed shook his head:

"I was just because it was a bad joke, and now thinking about it, that might be true. But I misunderstood him... My reckless behavior made Dumm pay a miserable price."

"Maybe, I should have been more rational at that time, rather than being so young and energetic."

The smartest man in the world looked up at Merlin and said:

"Dum and I are not friends, but we were competitors. After something regrettable happened, we became enemies, and Duum was gone. What you just said was the first time I have heard about Duum in so many years."

"Then let's talk about it."

Merlin looked at the data simulation conclusion that it would take a while to draw on the glasses. He made a "please" gesture to Dr. Reed and Susan, and said:

"Tell me about Victor Von Doom you know. We know too little about him. Any information is very important."
