27. Shopping trip

"Bang, bang, bang"
Under Merlin's gaze, the woman in black stretched out her hand and knocked three times on three different bricks at the intersection, the walls of the closed record store.
The next moment, on the empty wall in front of me, a hidden kettle bar appeared strangely.
The woman pushed open the door, looked at Merlin, and then entered the bar by herself.
Merlin followed closely behind and walked into it.
The bar in front of me is really like a small bar from the medieval period, with a brick and stone fireplace burning. The wooden bar has been patellared in time. Next to the extremely retro table, a group of strangely dressed people are drinking, smoking, or whispering.
Under the dim light, no one noticed the woman and Merlin walking into the tavern.
In order to pretend that he often came, Merlin did not observe anything around him. He followed the woman through the shabby bar and came to the small patio behind the bar.
There looked nothing here, just a shabby trash can and some weeds.
"His Excellency Colson, open the door."
The woman stood aside, crossed her waist and looked at Merlin. She said:
"I'm going to go to the Overturn Alley and deal with some things. You should be very familiar with it, right?"
"I'm not familiar with it at all, girl, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't even find the bar entrance."
Meilin complained a little in his heart, but his face was calm.
He walked forward, recalling Mr. Arthur's description at the time, stretched out his fingers, wrapped his magic, counted three bricks in the direction of the trash can, and then counted two horizontally.
His finger tapped on it three times and then retracted it.
The next moment, in front of Meilin, the bricks and stones of the ancient brick wall spread out from the center to the surroundings in a circular shape under the control of invisible magic.
With the sound of cracking and cracking, it moved to both sides, revealing a hole, like an archway.
This is the road to Diagon Alley.
It is indeed full of the mysterious style of wizards.
The girl next to him saw this scene and she said curiously:
"Don't you use a magic wand? The wizards who led the way used to open this door with magic wands."
Merlin snorted, recalling the fact that Mr. Arthur told him, and said with a blank expression:
"That's just a misinformation used by old wizards to fool the little wizards."
"Anything that is carrying magic power can open this door to the magic world. As for the overturned alley, I won't go there. It's not convenient for me to go there recently."
"Okay, then whatever you want."
The lady dressed like a ninja walked into the arch in front of her and said to Merlin who was following her:
"I'll ask you again about the reward we promised, Colson, are you sure you only need some trivial news?"
“The news is sometimes more valuable than the real thing, ma’am.”
Merlin looked at the streets of the wizards in front of him and whispered:
"What's more, the things I need, at your level, are probably difficult to find, so I won't make things difficult for you. For a news related to powerful magic items, it's best to be an offensive magic item. As long as I give me a definite news, we will clear up the two. I will never tell you what happened tonight, and you will naturally be able to complete your single trial."
"But don't try to deceive me, ma'am."
Merlin whispered:
"The wizards have never been merciless to deceivers."
"My father told me that he should try not to deal with the dark wizard. He said you are all a bunch of lunatics."
The girl walked to the end of the arch and looked back at Merlin. She said in a playful voice:
"But now it seems that you are not that difficult to deal with."
"Be careful!"
Merlin stared into the girl's eyes and said:
"Not all the black wizards are friendly. Well, now it's time to part ways, I've given you the address. But there is another question I've neglected and haven't asked."
"What's your name? Madam, what should I call you?"
The female ninja shrugged and replied softly:
"My name is Talia."
"Well, it sounds like a boy's name. It seems your father must have hoped you are a boy."
Merlin commented, which attracted the girl's glare.
After a moment, the girl sighed a little desolately:
"Yes, you're right. He always hoped that I was a boy and that I could inherit the glory of the family, but it didn't matter. Even women could do what he expected. I will prove to him!"
"Women are not worse than men!"
"A good ideal, equality between men and women is the supreme truth. In short, come on, Talia."
Merlin commented casually, and the next moment, he turned around and entered the state of the shadow cape.
Leaving without any nostalgia, it seemed like a race against time.
Talia didn't care about this either. She knew that many dark wizards had some quirks and could not be judged by common sense. She didn't stay for too long, and turned around and left in the other direction of Diagon Alley.
A few minutes later, Merlin showed off at another street corner.
He didn't want to have anything to do with Talia's mysterious woman, and all the rumors of wizards he heard about had been used up, so if he stayed there, it would be easy to reveal his feelings.
He has successfully arrived at Diagon Alley, and Meilin doesn't want to cause any other storms.
It was midnight, and the entire Diagonal Alley seemed a little deserted, and there was no view of its lively scene at all.
But Merlin was not looking at the scenery. He wrapped himself in a windbreaker and moved quickly on the street. At the end of the street, he saw a towering white building, like a tall tower, looking a little tilted.
Even at midnight, the building appears brightly lit.
This is Guling Pavilion.
The only bank in the wizarding world is said to be the safest place in the world. It is run by goblins who are good at calculating and hiding things.
When Meilin approached Guling Pavilion, he saw a shiny bronze gate that was wiped, which had a certain majesty.
And at the door, there was a fairy guard in a scarlet gold uniform.
In New York, he had seen a big fairy in the nightclub of Midnight Daddy, but it was a very beautiful creature, just like a little fairy with wings.
But what appeared in front of Merlin now was a pure-blooded European goblin, who was very ugly.
They are very short, only as tall as Merlin's legs.
There are generally green or brown-green skin, wrinkled faces, narrow eyes, and sharp ears like bats.
Four short bodies and huge heads, looking like they are weak.
But they are smart
It is almost one of the smartest ones among all magical creatures.
As Merlin approached, the fairy guard in uniform bowed to him and Merlin nodded slightly to the fairy. Then he stepped over the second silver gate engraved with words.
He almost stopped and walked straight into the hall of the Gringott.
It was an extremely spacious marble hall with long redwood cabinets on both sides, just like the scene of a bank in the medieval period.
Behind each cabinet is a fairy, most of the fairy are registered and calculated using white or black quill pens. Some fairies are using bronze balances to call coins.
Merlin walked to the front of a fairy weighing coins. He took out a stack of US dollars from his wallet, handed it over, and said in a hoarse voice:
"Switch all to Jin Jialong!"
Meilin originally thought that these fairies would question them.
But it didn't.
The fairy in front of him took the US dollar and put it in front of him. He skillfully picked up one, looked at the light, as if he was distinguishing the authenticity.
A moment later, he handed a bag of jingling coins to Merlin.
From beginning to end, this fairy never said a word.
Obviously, their daily business also includes exchanging various coins for wizards, which saves Merlin a lot of trouble.
Meilin walked out of the Guling Pavilion while the fairy guards bowed and saw him off.
He only knew the exchange rate of Jin Jialong, but not its purchasing power. Moreover, Merlin did not intend to keep too much Jin Jialong on him. He was going to Paris soon, and these things were meaningless in the present world.
So, he planned to spend all the nearly 3,000 US dollars of gold Jialong.
Merlin went to the bookstore first, and Mr. Arthur only allowed him to keep those textbooks for three years, which was definitely not enough for Merlin, who was just beginning to magic.
So he planned to see if he could buy his own magic books in the bookstore.
But the result was disappointing.
This bookstore called Lihen Bookstore does have textbooks that Merlin needs, but Merlin must provide admission certificates from the three major magic colleges in Europe, or admission certificates from the Ifamoni Magic Academy in North America, otherwise they would not sell him the entire set of textbooks.
Without providing admission certificate, Merlin had to buy some books that he could not understand at all or were completely useless to him.
Merlin spent more than ten minutes browsing the bookstore and saw a travel notes written by a guy named Gidro Lohart, which describes the strange things he saw around the world from the perspective of a wizard.
He thought it was quite interesting, so he bought one.
Then Merlin went to the Madame Mojin robe store next to the bookstore. He learned from Arthur and Hermione that the robes of the wizards did not have magical magical effects as legendary, and they were just decorations like ordinary people's clothes.
But the clothes in this robe shop are all equipped with the magical functions of automatic ironing and self-healing.
In other words, a set of clothes can really be worn for a lifetime.
This surprised Merlin, so he ordered four sets of clothes at the kind, fat and short witch shop owner.
A casual gray suit and shirt, a black combat suit for concealing operations, a traditional wizard robe for Little Hermione, and a purple long dress for cousin.
These four sets cost almost half of all the Jingalon of Merlin, but Merlin felt it was worth it.
After all, these are four sets of clothes that can be worn for a lifetime, and the fat and honest shop owner also gave an additional black cloak that can be adjusted according to the size of the body.
The best thing about this robe store is that it provides door-to-door delivery service. Merlin left his hotel address. The witch promised to deliver four sets of Merlin's clothes to his window within 3 days.
Just open the windows on time when you are in the Merlin belt.
Merlin said goodbye to the gentle Mrs. Mojin, following the soft street lights, he wandered on the streets of Diagon Alley in a leisurely manner, passing many magical places along the way.
He even visited the "hometown" of Mount Crucker.
It was a place called Magic Zoo, which was actually a little noisy shop. It is said that Hermione bought the ugly, ginger-colored magic kitten, Cruke Mountain, with some band-legged magic kitten.
However, Merlin did not plan to buy pets, he was not a traditional wizard after all.
He actually doesn't like that he always has too smart little animals around him.
This also disappointed the female owner with heavy glasses. However, after Meilin spent 50 Gallons and bought 40 bags of high-quality magic cat food in one go, the female owner who had made a small business was happy again and gave Meilin a small magic pocket.
A bit worn, but it can hold 40 bags of cat food in one go, which means it can also hold a weapon of equal volume
Although the female shop owner did not recommend that Merlin put things too heavy, this old pocket has been used for a long time. Its ability to withstand is limited, and it is not a top magical creature.
But even so, Merlin was already very satisfied. Diagon Alley has no place to sell magic pockets. According to the female shopkeeper, although this alchemy product is cheap, only an alchemist can make it.
Merlin didn't know any alchemist, and he did not have any channels to know him.
Merlin, who prepared gifts for Crook Mountain, was in a relaxed mood. He continued his fantasy journey and saw a shop selling magic brooms, but he had no interest.
Which normal adult man or woman would be willing to put the broom between her legs, sit on the broom and fly in the air?
"This is so stupid."
Merlin scoffed at the broom placed in the storage.
He continued to move forward, and bought a second-hand cloak for Little Eric in a second-hand robe shop so he could wear it on rainy days.
He also bought Fury a half-old flight jacket and a slightly old style toad mirror, even Merlin compensated for damage to Fry's favorite sunglasses.
There is also a pair of leather gloves that are slightly white, which are very suitable for archers to protect their fingers. They also have an automatic repair function, which is given to Patton.
Near the second-hand gown shop, at the Madam Prim Pinier Beauty Potion Store at 275 Diagon Alley, Merlin chose a set of affordable potion cosmetics to give to Ms. Natasha Romanov, who is 65 years old this year. She may need these things very much.
Finally, Merlin bought some good cigars in a shop and prepared to give them to Gatler as a gift.
Eric, Patton, Natasha, Fury and Gatler are some of his few friends.
At the moment of dawn, Merlin, carrying many bags, stood in front of his final destination.
In front of him was a small shop that looked crowded, narrow, and worn. In front of the shop window, a magic wand was placed on a faded purple mat for exhibition.
And above his head was a shabby old sign with some paint loss.
"Ollivander Wand Shop"
Meilin took a deep breath and walked into the store. As the bell rings at the top of the door, he whispered:
"My wand"
