Chapter 269: It's all the fault of the Fa meeting

"This pool of residual lotus is gradually fading. What's so good about it? It actually made you stay in a daze for three days. You didn't even do your morning classes today!"

Li Ye sat on the railing of the stone pavilion next to Wuxin, looked at a pool of autumn water, and said lightly.

"That's right, senior brother, you haven't eaten for three days, I brought you something to eat."

Wuyou stood behind Li Ye, took out a piece of sweet potato from his arms and handed it to Wu Xin.

Wuyou did not take the sweet potato that Wuxin handed him, but just lowered his head and looked at the remaining lotus in the pond.

Li Ye waved his hand, looked at Wuyou and said, "Your junior brother has cultivated the Arhat's Golden Body and is at the Nascent Soul realm. He will not starve to death without eating for several days."

I thought to myself that I am also your junior uncle, so if I go over to talk to you, you have to say something back to me.

The three of them stayed there quietly for a long time, looking at Li Ye and Wuyou who showed no intention of leaving.

Wuyou, who lowered his eyebrows and lowered his head, suddenly said: "Uncle Master, look at the lotus in this pond that has failed."

Li Ye, who was thinking about something, was startled and blurted out: "Spring flowers and autumn moon are the natural cycle of reincarnation. Do you think it is a golden flower and you don't want to thank it?"

The round-faced Wuyou also said: "Senior brother, the lotus has withered, but the lotus roots are still there. They will bloom again next summer."

Wuxin pointed to the pond in front of him and said quietly: "The lotus is gone, and I have no heart anymore."

...

Wuyou didn't understand, so he stepped forward and hugged Wuxin and said, "Junior brother, didn't your heart grow well here? Did you talk nonsense after being hungry for two days?"

Wuxin ignored Wuyou and just looked into the pool quietly.

Li Ye glanced at Wuyou and shook his head.

After thinking for a while, he said to Wuxin: "Since you have Wuxin, why did you want to become a monk and practice in the first place?"

Wuxin looked up at the white clouds in the sky and said softly: "I don't know. I have been in the temple since I was sensible."

Li Ye opened his mouth, but no words came out.

Seeing Wuyou who was as dazed as himself, Li Ye stood up, patted the dust on his sleeves, and motioned for him to leave with him.

"Although it's a broken flower, it's not bad. Just keep looking down on it!"

Li Ye picked up the broom from the pavilion and walked to the square.

"Uncle Mingchen, wait for me." Xiao Wuyou called from behind.

"What happened in the temple these days? Why is your senior brother so good?"

Li Ye didn't look back, but asked Wuyou.

Wuyou walked behind, rubbed his head and thought for a long time, then suddenly shouted: "I know!"

Looking at Li Ye who turned around, he had no intention of stopping.

He continued: "During the Mid-Autumn Festival, some female pilgrims came to the temple. Among them was a young woman with long hair in a white dress. She glanced at my senior brother during the ceremony... Later, she stayed in the temple.

Two days ago, I met senior brother and I again in the dining hall... I noticed that senior brother looked at her strangely, and I laughed at him because he was crazy."

"My heart is gone, how can I become crazy?" Li Ye murmured.

"Later, when the Dharma assembly was over, senior brother sent her to the outside of the mountain gate. I saw that senior brother wanted to send her down the mountain, so I stopped him. I didn't expect that he would be like this the next day. Senior Uncle Mingchen

, could it be said that senior brother is really a nymphomaniac?"

Wuyou shook his little head with a look of disbelief on his face.

Li Ye turned his head and stared blankly at Wu Xin, who was dazed in the stone pavilion. He thought to himself, "You are also a monk practicing in Prajna Temple. Do you know that you can go crazy after just one look at a woman in the world?"

If that woman comes again, won't you go crazy?

I remember that when Li Mingzhu came to me to break off the engagement, I had resisted and didn't go crazy!

A gust of wind picked up the leaves in the square and blew them to Li Ye's feet.

Li Ye bent down and picked up a Bodhi leaf from the ground, pondered for a moment and said, "Wouyou, sweep the floor for me for a while, and I'll go see Senior Brother Minghui and Senior Brother Mingjue."

After saying that, he handed the broom he was holding to Wuyou behind him.

Wuyou took the broom, nodded and said, "Don't worry, little uncle, Wuyou will definitely sweep away the leaves in this square."

Li Ye waved his hand, leaving him with a fading figure.

...

When Li Ye entered Minghui's Buddhist hall, he found that Wuxin and Wuyou's master Mingjue were also there. The two monks were making tea and chatting.

Glancing at Li Ye who walked in, Master Minghui smiled and said, "Junior brother should be sweeping the floor in the square outside the hall at this time. Why did he come to me?"

Then he pointed at Ming Jue beside him and said, "This is Wuyou and Wu Xin's master, senior brother Ming Jue."

Li Ye met with the two monks and sat down in front of Ming Hui.

Without replying, he took the teapot on the table and poured a cup of tea. He took a sip and then said, "Brother's tea is delicious!"

Master Minghui looked at the familiar face in front of him and placed the beads in his hand on the table.

He patted the table gently and said, "Is something wrong?"

Senior brother Mingjue also looked at Li Ye with great confusion and said with a smile: "Junior brother, what's the matter?"

Li Ye took a few sips of tea, put the cup down gently, looked at the two senior brothers, and smiled lightly.

He said, "If you have nothing to do, why don't you come to Senior Brother's Buddhist Hall to ask for a cup of tea?"

Minghui was startled, stared and said, "You're talking nonsense!"

Mingjue was happy and said with a smile: "Speak like a human being!"

Li Ye was stunned and curled his lips and said, "After all, it's not the matter of Brother Mingjue and his son."

When Mingjue heard this, he sighed and said, "Junior brother, do you also know?"

Li Ye looked at the Bodhisattva on the Buddhist altar, put his hands together and said the Buddha's name.

He lowered his head and pointed at the dirt stuck to the monk's clothes and said, "I sweep the floor at the mountain gate every day. I can't even think about it! I can't pretend I didn't see anything!"

"So, junior brother, what did you see?"

Junior Brother Minghui picked up the teapot and filled Li Ye's cup with water.

Li Ye thought about what Wuxin said just now and smiled casually.

Said: "Wuyou and I saw a Wuxin monk by the lotus pond."

"How can a monk practice in the temple if he has no intention?" Master Minghui asked calmly.

Li Ye picked up Minghui's beads from the table and gently turned them in his hands.

He raised his eyes and looked at Master Minghui and replied with a smile: "When I was playing by the Liuhe River when I was a child, I often heard the old people in the city say: The young monk chants sutras, but his words are not true."

After saying that, he looked at the old monk Minghui quietly and smiled without saying a word.

When Mingjue heard this, his frown could not help but relax.

Looking at Li Ye laughing, he said, "Junior brother is really good at joking."

Senior Brother Minghui couldn't help but smile at him.

He shook his head and said: "Junior brother Mingchen, you are also their junior uncle, how can you talk like this."

Li Ye looked at the two old monks who couldn't help but laugh, and said calmly: "I just want to casually discuss Wuxin's nephew's affairs with the two senior brothers, why should I be so serious."

As soon as he heard Li Ye mention the unintentional matter, the old monk Mingjue stopped smiling and regained his sad look.

Minghui shook his head, looked at Li Ye and said, "Do you really want to know if you are not afraid of affecting your spiritual practice?"

Li Ye asked in surprise: "Will Master Wuxin affect my state of mind?"

Minghui frowned and thought for a long time, then hesitantly replied: "It's very possible!"

Old monk Mingjue looked at him and said: "Junior brother, you are still young, there is no need to add so many worries."

Li Ye looked at the two old monks Minghui and Mingjue beside him and said softly: "What should I say? Wuxin and Wuyou also want to call me little master uncle."

"You won't regret your current choice?" Minghui asked.

"No! My old master monk from the Great Buddhist Temple once said: The ultimate path is without difficulty... If I have to avoid such trivial matters, how can I practice Buddhism to a perfect state?"

Li Ye gently turned the prayer beads in his hand.

Minghui looked at him deeply, pulled out an iron bowl the size of a basin from behind, and placed it in front of Li Ye.

He said solemnly: "Take it and fill it with spring water and come back. I will tell you in detail..."

Li Ye was stunned, looking at the big iron bowl in front of him, thinking that it was almost three times the size of the iron bowl he used for practice.

Seeing Ming Hui's serious look, Li Ye didn't ask any more questions and walked out of the Buddhist hall with the iron bowl in hand.

"Senior brother, if you really want to let junior brother Mingchen know the truth, will it affect his future practice?"

Mingjue looked at Minghui worriedly and said.

"The Ksitigarbha Sutra says, if I don't go to hell, who will go to hell? My young master's Dharma is profound, so he should be able to withstand this test! Besides, sooner or later he will have to enter the world to practice, and sooner or later he will have to experience the troubles in the world of mortals.

"

"If he can't get over this small hurdle, how can he inherit all the mental methods of "The Formless Dharmakaya"?"

Ming Hui looked at the Buddhist beads on the table and said quietly.

Mingjue let out a long sigh and said, "That's fine. I hope he can resolve the calamity in front of Wu Xin. After all, he is also the person that the abbot senior brother likes."

"You have someone go to the small courtyard in the back mountain to tell Junior Brother Mingchen's husband that Junior Brother Mingchen will be practicing in seclusion with me for the past two days and ask him not to worry. Let Wuyou sweep the fallen leaves at the mountain gate these days.

Bar."

Master Minghui's expression also became serious.

Mingjue nodded when he heard this, clasped his hands together and said, "That's how it should be, I'll give the order right now."

After saying that, he got up and walked outside the Buddhist hall.

Seeing Mingjue walking out of the Buddhist hall, Minghui squeezed the beads in her hand and sighed lightly.

"There is no difficulty in reaching the path, only choices. Who among those who practice Buddhism does not understand this truth, but who can avoid the choices on the path of practice?"

Minghui shook her head, lowered her head and took out a black stone from the drawer of the Buddhist altar. She lowered her head and looked at it quietly.

Master Minghui has been practicing in Prajna Temple for hundreds of years, and his state of mind is so high. He clearly knows where the unintentional question comes from, but there is nothing he can do about it.

He was so close that he could hear Wu Xin sighing as he sat by the lotus pond.

He also thought about the hundreds of years that Junior Brother Mingjue had spent practicing cultivation. He had finally been looking for a successor for half his life, and saw that he was about to become a reflection in the mirror. Ru Shui's mood couldn't help but have a wave of emotion...

"The past heart cannot be grasped, the present mind cannot be grasped, the future mind cannot be grasped..." Minghui recited the sutra softly while turning the beads in her hand.

All the hearts of sentient beings are changing, like time, like the world of the five realms, they will never stop, they will never be grasped, they will always be in the past.

Therefore, the past mind cannot be grasped, the present mind cannot be grasped, and the future mind cannot be grasped.

As soon as we talked about the future, it has already become the present. When we were talking about the present, it has already become the past.

Ming Hui sighed softly.

To say that Prajna is empty, and therefore cannot be obtained, makes it very pessimistic.

The Buddha said that everything in the world is conditioned, and conditioned dharma is not real. However, the body of conditioned dharma is unconditioned, and its use is conditioned.

I think in the conditioned method, seeking the path of inaction is going in the opposite direction.

Such practice is useless. Therefore, it is not possible to achieve enlightenment only after cutting off conditioned dharma.

The conditioned dharma is originally in non-action, so the way of non-action is to observe in the conditioned phenomena. Only by observing clearly can we see the way.

The conditioned law arises and arises endlessly, so the conditioned law cannot be limited and cannot be destroyed.

If you think that you can achieve enlightenment by eradicating the mind of birth and death, that is all wrong view and not the true Dharma.

The so-called emptiness of dependent origin, and the principle of emptiness of dependent origin, lies in this place.

If these principles are unclear, they often turn the entire Buddha Dharma into wrong views, into emptiness with severe views, and regard emptiness as nothing. That is not the Dharma!

The Buddha said that the past mind cannot be grasped, the present mind cannot be grasped, and the future mind cannot be grasped.

This is to tell you not to seek the supreme Anuttarasamyaksambodhi and the supreme Tao mind in this world of phenomena, because the three minds of phenomena are all changing.

Thinking of this, Minghui couldn't help but worry for Li Ye. He was afraid that Li Ye would get into Wu Xin's story and sink too deep into it, so that he would not be able to get out.

There are forty-eight thousand Dharma doors in Buddhism and Taoism. Only few people can enter, and even fewer can come out.

This little junior brother with deep wisdom in front of me must not go into the world of Wuxin and leave his heart there.

Looking at the Bodhisattva on the Buddhist altar, Minghui chanted Buddhist scriptures in a low voice.

For yourself.

For the sake of being careless.
