Chapter 648: All things are impermanent

Different from ten years ago, when Li Ye returned to the Great Buddha Temple this time, he did not go to the main hall to participate in the morning classes in the temple when he got up in the morning. Instead, he came to the creek in the back mountain.

Sitting on the edge of the stream, looking at the gurgling water, thinking about the fight that year.

If he hadn't practiced his left-handed sword on Tianshan Mountain, he would have died in Ye Wuya's hands long ago, and there would be no scenery like today. Looking at the scenery in front of him, he was stunned and speechless.

It is estimated that when Ye Wuya was about to die, he would not have thought that he would die under his left-hand sword, and he was just looking at himself, who looked like nothing more than a waste.

There was a river breeze blowing by the stream, gently blowing the weeds by the river and stirring Li Ye's mood.

He was wandering, as if he had returned to yesterday.

Thinking about the moment when I became a disciple and practiced cultivation with my husband, in the blink of an eye, the world could no longer accommodate him.

At this moment, he really understood what he said to his husband when he became a disciple: his heart is in the sky, and he is in the abyss.

The abyss was invisible, and there was nothing in front of Li Ye except the stream, and a few birds, gently flitting across the water.

Looking up at the sky and the endless mountains in the direction of the Tianshan Mountains, I can't see the end. However, I was still on the mountains yesterday, but I don't feel the majesty and majesty of the Tianshan Mountains as I do now.

Compared with the boundless Fangcun Mountain, Tianshan has another kind of mystery, a sense of powerlessness that cannot be crossed or conquered.

He knew in his heart that the three of them had nominally conquered the Tianshan Mountains and traveled through the entire mountain range, but the last stretch of the journey was the real journey through time and space.

A kind of time-travel that one cannot help but have to travel through.

When he said it, probably only the old monk and his husband from the Great Buddha Temple believed it. But Li Ye believed that Brother Minghui from the Prajna Temple would also believe him.

Looking at the Tianshan Mountains connected to the back of the Grand Buddha Temple, you can see the deep blue, the cliffs, the gurgling water, the grass and weeds, all mixed together to form a wonderful world.

Even practitioners who have transcended the nine realms of tribulation will feel insignificant in front of this painting.

The cliffs and mountains behind the Buddhist temple are a mysterious world.

The vast mountains in front of the Buddhist temple are connected to Fengyun City not far away. This is the human world.

Do you want to tell the old monk about your affairs? After all, the master will leave the five realms in less than a few years. According to the old monk, it will take several years.

But Li Ye knew that his master would break through the void within a year, and for no other reason than the Tianshan Snow Lotus he brought would give Ouyang Dongli an opportunity to break through.

What's more, the old monk has already broken through the realm of nine calamities.

"Then let's talk about it together. After all, this is my master. If Master Bian can't trust him, who can I trust?"

Li Ye murmured to himself, turned around and walked back.

At this time, the old monk should have finished his morning lessons and returned to the Buddhist hall to rest. I happened to make him a pot of tea with snow lotus in it to help him get rid of his weakness as soon as possible.

Li Ye was filled with joy when he thought that the old master monk had finally achieved the great truth.

On the Tianshan Mountains, I thought to myself that my master would not be able to learn the Great Dao, and I would die in the five realms before my eyes. I didn't expect that just for myself, I would accidentally travel through the world and encounter a temple hidden in the Tianshan Mountains.

Unintentionally touched the opportunity of the temple, allowing all the practitioners in the five realms to be bathed in the divine light of the Tianshan Mountains, allowing his master to break through the realm overnight, and finally no longer have to die here, which can be regarded as fulfilling one of his wishes.

It turns out that if you never forget it, it will eventually echo.

Li Ye smiled faintly, looked up and saw that he was already under the eaves of Luohan Hall.

After turning around the Luohan Hall and coming to the old monk's Buddhist hall, there was a faint line of agarwood spreading from the inside of the Buddhist hall to the outside.

Looking at the Buddhist hall in the morning light, Li Ye had mixed feelings for a while. He was speechless for a long time. In the blink of an eye, he changed from the six-year-old boy back then to now.

The boy is no longer young, but the old monk and master is still the old monk of yesterday.

After staying for a long time, he softly sighed and said: "The Great Buddha Temple, this is the place where my dream began!"

The old monk in the Buddhist hall heard the commotion and said with a smile: "The Great Buddha Temple has always been quiet."

Li Ye took off his shoes, walked in and said, "The people who built the Great Buddha Temple must have been amazing."

Li Ye, who was in the Buddhist hall, first kowtowed to the Bodhisattva on the altar three times, and then kowtowed three times to the old monk.

The old monk was stunned and asked: "I didn't see you kowtow yesterday, so why did you remember kowtow today?"

Looking up at the old monk, an indescribable emotion surged into Li Ye's heart. All the emotions he had felt while looking up at the Tianshan Mountains from the stream welled up in his heart.

What does it feel like to look at the world from the Buddhist altar and the Buddhist hall from the world?

Silently, Li Ye lit the small stove on the table, put the kettle filled with water on it, and cleaned the kettle. With a flick of his hand, Tianshan Snow Lotus and tea leaves picked from Tianshan Mountain appeared in front of the table.

Without raising his head to look at the old monk, Li Ye quietly looked at a piece of snow lotus and a pile of spring tea on the table, with a tear in his eye dripping down like a broken pearl.

There was a ticking sound, and it fell gently on the table.

It wetted the table and also wetted the old monk's heart.

"Master, it will take either a few years or a year for you. It is estimated that in a few months you will be able to survive the tribulation and ascend."

Li Ye, who was in tears, murmured softly.

At this moment, he lowered his eyebrows with compassion, just like a Bodhisattva with lowered eyebrows on a Buddhist altar.

The old monk was startled, looked at the snow lotus on the table, and asked blankly: "Disciple, what you drank for the master yesterday was the spring tea brewed by the snow lotus? No wonder I can't feel it..."

The old monk looked at the disciple in front of him, and after a while, a tear fell.

It’s not for anything else, just because the master and the disciple will finally have to part ways. Although this is not what the two of them want. But when some things are coming, they cannot be resisted by human beings.

Silently, Li Ye took out a handkerchief and wiped the tears from his face, told Lao Shang about Ouyang Dongli, and then said quietly: "If the master is willing to leave, the disciple can help the master break through the void and ascend in the near future.

"

The old monk has not tasted that vat of drunkenness and dreams.

As long as I give the old monk two drinks, I estimate that it will take less than five days to break through the catastrophe and leave the five realms...

The corner of the old monk's mouth twitched. Chenghou shook his head and looked at Li Ye who was washing the pot and making tea and said, "Don't worry, I want to stay here for a while. I have some things to explain to you."

Looking up at the old monk who was holding the beads and turning them gently, Li Ye asked: "Master, do you want to go to the top of the Tianshan Mountains when you are flying? Or is it okay to stay in the temple?"

He originally wanted to say, master, do you want me to accompany you to the Tianshan Mountains again, to accompany you to complete the final nirvana of the five realms, to emerge from the cocoon and become a butterfly?

The old monk shook his head and said: "I don't have to go to the top of Tianshan Mountain. I can stay in the back mountain of the temple. People who practice Buddhism have Buddha in their hearts, so they are naturally not afraid of thunder and calamity in the world."

Li Ye looked at him, pondered for a moment and then asked: "Live towards death?"

The old monk looked at him, nodded and smiled, and said quietly: "I remember that you understood the principle of living towards death when you were practicing in the temple. If we talk about it today, you should have a deeper understanding, right?

"

Li Ye nodded gently.

The old monk picked up the snow lotus tea made by Li Ye, took a sip, and then said with a smile: "You can drink this tea after two pots. There is no need to put it away tomorrow. I don't want to leave just yet."

Seeing that Li Ye didn't speak, he continued: "Buddha said that Nirvana is rebirth. I have been practicing for hundreds of years, but I have never understood this truth. I didn't expect you to understand it when you were young."

Li Ye vaguely understood something more, looked at him and said helplessly: "Master, although this is the truth, I still can't let you go."

After saying this, he took a deep breath, picked up the teacup and took a sip.

It was very quiet in the Buddhist hall. The master and the disciple each held a cup of tea and slowly looked at it.

"master."

Looking at the old monk in front of him, Li Ye said in a trembling voice: "I may be possessed by a demon."

"How do you say this? Well." Lao He's reaction was not as big as Li Ye expected, but he looked at him quietly, his eyes the same as yesterday.

Li Ye looked at the old monk's calm appearance. He couldn't help but take out a knife, prick his finger hard, took a clean tea cup, squeezed a drop of blood into it, and then gently pushed it into the cup.

In front of the old monk.

"Master, please look." Li Ye looked at Lao Shang quietly and said. "Perhaps, I have become a demon, but I haven't transformed yet."

Gently, Li Ye told the story of what happened in the cold pool behind Xuankai Temple in Fangcun Mountain one by one. He also confessed that the woman in white did not hesitate to give her own blood to him in order to save his life.

.

It took him two-quarters of an hour to tell the old monk that he had become possessed by the sutra, and that there was a place where he could ascend, possibly from the Shura Heaven Realm.

After speaking, he pointed to the cup and said: "I have only refined a little bit of that drop of Shura essence and blood. If it is completely refined, it is estimated that the blood in my body will be half blue and half gold."

After hearing what he said, the old monk smiled and said, "Is that just like this? Did you look at the woman in white like a devil?"

Li Ye thought for a while, shook his head and said, "My disciple has looked at her carefully, and she doesn't look like her."

The old monk looked at him and nodded, smiling: "Isn't that enough? Who said that the practitioners in the Asura Realm are all demons? Who can prove that all the practitioners in the Buddhist hall are Buddhas?

Li Ye was stunned, looked at the old monk and asked: "Why did master say this?"

The old monk looked at him and said: If you practice Buddhism, you will naturally understand the principle of becoming a Buddha with one thought and becoming a demon with one thought. Seeing that our master and disciple have no idea when we will meet again after separation, I will tell you another part of Buddhism."

Li Ye bowed again and replied: "I would like to hear his good fortune."

The old monk held the flower in his hand and said softly: "One day, Buddha and Mara met. Mara said to Buddha: "I will destroy your teachings."

The Buddha said: "How are you going to destroy my teachings? My temples have spread all over the world, and my disciples in cassocks stand like trees in the mountains."

Mara said: "I will use two thousand and five hundred years to destroy your teachings and Dharma. I will let my demon sons and descendants wear your cassocks, enter your temple, preach my demon doctrine, and corrupt you."

Your monk."

"Where you are, I will be, until my descendants are everywhere." Mara's voice echoed in the air.

The Buddha replied: "Then you can't do anything to me. At that time, my true disciples will take off their cassocks, put on plain clothes, and go into the world."

"At that time, the mortal world will become a temple, the family will become a monastery, and the temple will become a prison for your devil children and grandchildren." Buddha replied.

Mara said to Buddha: "Where you are, I am."

The Buddha's strategy is: "Wherever you are not, I am."

Mara always forgets what is behind him, but the Buddha paid careful attention to what is before his eyes.

Even though there are thousands, millions, millions of descendants of Mara all over the place, Buddhism still flourishes. Buddhism will never be destroyed.

The lotus flower was born in the mud, blooms in the clear sky, has a hollow heart, is pure and light, has red calyx and white pistils, refreshing the heart and mind.

...

Having said this, the old monk looked at Li Ye and said quietly: "Buddha and demon only exist between your thoughts and have nothing to do with others. Even if you are in hell, as long as there is a Buddha in your body, hell is also heaven."

After hearing this, Li Ye gradually let go of all his previous attachments.

He looked at the old monk and smiled and said: "It turns out that the disciple is obsessed with it. Today I heard the master's sermon, which helped the disciple get rid of all kinds of worries. It seems that he has returned to the practice at the Great Buddha Temple that day. I am very happy."

The old monk looked at him and said with a smile: "Everything is impermanent, but keep a normal mind."

Li Ye murmured softly: "Everything is impermanent, but keep a normal mind."
