Chapter 68 Meeting with Ms. Deng

On the morning of April 12, Li Guangyu held a board meeting at Xingyue Real Estate Group and made some arrangements for the company before leaving RB.

At noon, Li Guangyu accompanied the senior management to have lunch and rushed to the Chinese Embassy in Japan.

Ms. Deng and others have been waiting for Li Guangyu's arrival in the embassy. Through the detailed understanding of Li Guangyu in the past two days, Ms. Deng is still very interested in this young man who has been in the forefront of Xiangjiang for more than a year.

She also wanted to get to know the young boy up close. Under such a blow from her family, she was able to resolutely shoulder the responsibility of family development and did such an outstanding job, which is rare in the country.

Li Guangyu, Ms. Deng and others came to the embassy conference room. Li Guangyu said: "Chairman, it is an honor to be able to meet you."

Ms. Deng said to Li Guangyu: "Mr. Li, the reason why I asked you to meet today is to have a chat with you."

Li Guangyu knew that Ms. Deng would probably still ask the question of Xiangjiang. This is a hurdle that several parties cannot overcome now, and Li Guangyu did not have much solution to this.

"Chairman please say, I will answer as much as possible."

Ms. Deng knew what Li Guangyu was worried about and was afraid that she would ask some sensitive questions, so she answered in such a tone.

"Mr. Li, you don't have to worry about anything. Let's talk about it openly today. We still know some of the worries of many families in Xiangjiang now." Ms. Deng said.

At this time, the ambassador to Japan, Zhang Yiming, continued: "Mr. Li, you are worried now that Xiangjiang is under the rule of Britain. You are worried that getting close to the mainland will affect the development of your family business in Xiangjiang."

"The second is to worry about the impact of our government's policies on you and whether your family business can continue to develop."

"The third is to worry that once you get close to the mainland, your business on Baodao will be affected."

Li Guangyu felt that the mainland knew Xiangjiang clearly enough, but these problems were difficult to solve, and this was not something that Li Guangyu could solve.

Li Guangyu said: "What the ambassador just said is exactly what many families in Xiangjiang are worried about. We support the mainland's resumption of Xiangjiang. After all, we are all descendants of Yan and Huang and a family. But after all, sometimes we can't help but let you understand more."

Ms. Deng thinks this young man is very interesting. The mainland wants to take back Xiangjiang. Okay, we support him, but if you want his help, you can't help but understand more.

Ms. Deng said: "Mr. Li, we also know that it is not easy for you families to develop to the present level under the cover of British consortiums, and you will not directly show your attitude at the risk of the decline of the family business."

Ms. Deng stared at Li Guangyu and continued, "We will open the skylight today and say something. Do you have any opinions on this? Don't worry. Let's just talk about it today, and we will just talk about it casually. You can ignore it when you leave this door."

Ms. Deng really wants to know what Li Guangyu was thinking, because behind him were several wealthy families in Xiangjiang. As long as Li Guangyu can be biased towards the mainland, it will reduce a lot of pressure to take back Xiangjiang and maintain the stability of Xiangjiang.

Li Guangyu did not rush to answer Ms. Deng’s question, but thought about this matter carefully. Although Li Guangyu knew what he said here today and would not be passed on to England and Baodao, Li Guangyu felt that he should still act cautiously.

Li Guangyu said: "Chairman, most of our Xiangjiang families have this consensus on the recovery of Xiangjiang on the mainland, and we all support it."

Ms. Deng said: "We also know that you are still dedicated to the mainland, so how can you remove the worries of your major families?"

Li Guangyu is really hard to answer this question. As for what he is worried about, Li Guangyu is very clear.

Li Guangyu said: "I saw the news about the Governor meeting with Mr. Deng a few days ago. His answers have reduced some of our concerns."

When Ms. Deng heard him say this, she knew that Li Guangyu recognized some of the Central Committee’s resolutions on the Xiangjiang issue. The Central Committee is also discussing how Xiangjiang develops, and some issues are still being studied.

Ms. Deng said: "You can completely relieve yourself. If we take back Xiangjiang, we will not harm the interests of your families."

Li Guangyu said: "I also believe that the mainland government has the ability and wisdom to handle the Hong Kong issue well. Under the leadership of your new leader, the country will definitely develop rapidly. I am very optimistic about the future of the mainland."

Ms. Deng was also very happy after hearing Li Guangyu's statement. Now that it is stuck among everyone, it is mainly the issue of the ownership of Xiangjiang. As long as the mainland and the United Kingdom have negotiated, this will not be an obstacle.

Ms. Deng said: "Mr. Li, during our negotiations with the UK, we don't need you to stand on our side and oppose Britain openly. I just hope that you can unite some families to maintain the stability of Xiangjiang."

Li Guangyu felt relieved when he heard this and immediately responded: "Don't worry, Chairman, we can only develop better by stabilizing Xiangjiang. We will definitely maintain the stable development of Xiangjiang."

Ms. Deng asked: "Mr. Li, do you plan to invest in the mainland?"

Li Guangyu said: "I am still optimistic about mainland investment, but now I am about to go to the United States. I have to wait for me to return to Xiangjiang to discuss with senior executives of various groups."

Seeing this, Ms. Deng stopped asking more questions.

...

After returning to the Empire Hotel, Li Guangyu recalled whether he had any extraordinary words during this meeting and whether it had any impact on him.

When Li Xuelan saw Li Guangyu coming back, she didn't speak much and asked: "Li Sheng, are there any problems with your meeting with the mainland this afternoon?"

Li Guangyu came back to his senses and said, "No problem, Xuelan, what kind of enterprises do you think our group is suitable for development in the mainland today?"

When Li Xuelan saw Li Guangyu asking this question, she didn't know the situation in the mainland. She used to study in the United States, but as soon as she returned to Xiangjiang, she was sent to Li Guangyu as an assistant.

Li Xuelan said: "Li Sheng, I don't know the situation in the mainland now. You still have to discuss this with the senior management of the group."

Li Guangyu didn't think about it for the time being. Anyway, when the mainland and the UK were negotiated, Li Guangyu would enter the mainland market in large numbers.

Li Guangyu is now thinking about some things going to the United States to see if he can dig a few gold mines in the United States. Many awesome companies in the future have just started their business, such as Microsoft and Apple.

Li Guangyu was thinking about whether he could become a shareholder. As for controlling stake, Li Guangyu never thought about it. In the United States, if Li Guangyu had controlled these industries, maybe there would be no future Fortune 500 companies in the world.

How could the United States help you promote a foreign-funded company, especially a high-tech enterprise? The US government will definitely not support foreign-controlled products. What's more, in the United States, most of the controlling rights of listed companies with better development are in the hands of those people on Wall Street. Li Guangyu is not able to grab food in their hands now.
