Chapter 316: Crow's Memories

James Kidd had been immersed in thinking during the period before Crowe came. He wanted to figure out how the communication method left by William Kidd was leaked.

At the manor before, Soberon did know a lot of William Kidd's code words, which allowed James Kidd to believe the identity of the other butler, but he was ambushed in the end.

This time he can only be more cautious. If the code word doesn't work, then he can only use that one!

James Kidd brewed his emotions for a while, and then said slowly: "Do you still remember that afternoon at Cape Roland? I say hello to you on behalf of Mia Rohr!"

Crowe was completely stunned when he heard about Cape Roland. His memories were brought back, and his expression was full of nostalgia and guilt.

Claude Bertou's eyes turned red at some point, maybe because he was getting older and had more emotions than before.

How could he not remember that cape? After a robbery, they were chased by pirate hunters; both he and William Kidd were seriously injured in the battle, but William still used his skillful driving skills and eternal

The belief of not giving up escaped that disaster.

The Gary Venture was severely damaged, and the broken mast prevented William from driving her back to a safe port. Furthermore, Crowe was hit in the back by a corroded copper lead bullet, and had to go ashore as soon as possible to a drier place.

Crowe Bertou only remembered that after a strong wind, the Gary Venture ran aground in a mangrove on the back beach of Cape Roland. In desperation, they had no choice but to risk going ashore to seek help.

It was there that he met the Rolle family. They had been fishermen for generations and had just come to the Caribbean from the North Sea. Probably because the Spanish navy was unpopular there, they risked being discovered and gave Crowe a place to recuperate.

.

...

"We must dig out all the rotten flesh!" Crowe was confused. His wounds worsened rapidly and he had a high fever all day long. He could not remember the scene of that day. He could only vaguely see a pair of sisters.

The small house with light and air from all sides was busy.

"Luya, Mia, go and bring in the strips of cloth that are drying outside. By the way, there are some bread left in the cellar, so go and bring some over. Remember to ask for the kind with white or light green mold spots!

"

When Crowe heard someone shouting next to him, his first reaction was: "He wants to kill me?"

But a sudden severe itching and pain came from his back. Crow's whole body was so weak that he couldn't even clench his fists. After struggling twice, he exhausted all his strength and fell into a deep sleep.

"My bosun has been comatose for three days!" Crow, who woke up again, heard the long-lost, irritable and angry words of William Kidd: "We can't stay here any longer, once the Gary Adventure is discovered by a passing ship

, we can’t escape from this hellish place!”

Crowe struggled again, but he felt that his whole body was restrained by invisible things, and a strong sleepiness came over him.

Crow woke up many times during his sleep. He remembered that there was something cold and soft that soothed the heat on the surface of his body. "It will be better if it lasts longer..." Crow even felt that it would be good to continue like this.

"Does that pirate keep his word, father?"

"They will! Their boatswain is still here. No captain will abandon his crew, not to mention the one he trusts the most!"

"Then my sister...will she come back with you?"

"Then we can only hope in the mercy of the pirates. Don't think too much, Mia."

The fisherman's daughter waited for her father to leave, sat on the edge of the bed, and asked timidly and quietly, "You will help me, right?"

Crow wanted to say, "I will." But he fell asleep anyway.

Crow gradually recovered, and his waking hours were getting longer day by day. Although Mia's appearance was not beautiful, her face was not as good as that of a Nassau plantation lady, and her figure was not as good as that of a tavern waitress.

There was a fishy smell of sea water; but for some reason, Crowe felt that the skin that was reddened by the scorching sun and a little black, the slightly rough facial features, and the fragrance of the sea were so charming.

More than half a month later, William Kidd returned to Cape Roland. Not only did he repair the Gary Adventure, he also exchanged all the cargo he plundered last time for gold coins!

"You saved my brother, this money will be considered as your reward!" William put a large amount of Spanish silver coins into the fisherman's hand.

The fisherman hesitated and asked, "Where is my daughter? Where is she?"

William also hesitated for a moment. He paused and said apologetically: "This voyage was very rushed. I left her in Nassau. I hope to take your family there."

"This is impossible! I don't want to become a pirate with no fixed abode!" the fisherman flatly refused.

William pursed his lips and explained patiently: "Going to Nassau does not mean becoming a pirate. It is just a paradise for free people. If you go to Nassau, you can still continue fishing!"

The fisherman seemed to hear something. The tone of William's words to him was not right. He said firmly: "I only want my daughter."

"Okay." William sighed, "I know, I will bring her back!"

"How do I believe (do you mean what you say)..." The fisherman said half of the sentence and swallowed the other half into his mouth. The other party was a notorious pirate. He could only pray.

On that day, William and the others did not return immediately, but celebrated Crow's recovery on the beach at Cape Roland. Because no key figures on the Gary Adventure were killed, their pirate team was still the most powerful one!

"Here's to the captain! He took us out of heaven and made a lot of money!"

"Here's to the boatswain! I wish him a quick recovery and hope he can continue to lead us forward!"

"Honor the Gary Adventure, we will continue to sail across the Caribbean!"

"Respect wealth..."

Crowe took a deep breath, that was the most beautiful night he would never forget, and the most regrettable night.

Although wine is not conducive to the recovery of wounds, wine will always be with the pirate. In the warm atmosphere and the encouragement of his brothers, he drank cup after cup until he completely lost consciousness.

He felt the same feeling when he was recuperating again, that cool feeling, just like the only time in his memory when his mother's hands touched his body. The difference from the previous few days was that this time it did not extinguish the heat bursting out of his body.

Hearing Crow's heavy breathing, like a trapped bull neighing, the sailors behind him also became nervous. What's wrong with him, Speaker?

"Who are you? I clearly saw her..." Crowe asked subconsciously.

After that night, he confirmed his relationship with Mia Roll, but she did not dare to tell her father because her sister had already made him angry and troubled enough.

"This is the necklace my mother left for me. I give it to you. I hope you don't forget me." Crow left, and he embarked on an adventurous journey again, but this time, he wanted to

Earn a sum of money as soon as possible, then donate it to the King of England, and then take her back to that land to live in peace.

But Crowe did not expect that the Gary Adventure would still reveal its traces. These pirate hunters could not find William and vented their anger in the villages on the cape.

Looking at the burning Roland Cape, Crowe wanted to go, but William Kidd stopped him, "No! We can't go back, we are risking death!"

"We sail on the sea just for fun and freedom. If I can't avenge her, I..."

"I'm sorry, I have to think about all the crew."

Crowe's memory was interrupted, and he seemed to see her shadow in his blurred eyes. James Kidd stood up from the other end of the pile of rocks and came to him at some point.

James Kidd looked at Crowe Berdu's expression and confirmed the identity of the other party. He was convinced, because they were probably the only two people left alive who knew about it!

"It looks like, it really looks like!" Crowe raised his hand, as if he wanted to touch James' face, but he quickly came to his senses. He couldn't be Mia's child, so...

"She doesn't hate you, nor does she hate her father! This should be the belonging and ending of the pirates. Besides, you have avenged them, right?" James Kid pulled off the chain armor and took off the hidden clothes from his neck.

The necklace under the collar was handed over.

Crowe waved his hand and said to the pirates behind him: "You all get out of the way!"

"But……"

"This is my order, go to the artillery, and stay there without my order, do you understand?" Crow's voice was not loud, but it was like a lion's roar. The sailors immediately backed away, leaving them alone.

A private conversation space.

Only then did Crowe take the necklace from James. He was as gentle as treating his lover. He suddenly smiled: "I said this guy always hides something from me. It seems that he does owe me a lot!"

But he soon became sad again, and said to himself: "But why didn't you say it? If you had said it, maybe you wouldn't have been betrayed, and you wouldn't have died!"

Crow gently stroked the rough surface of the necklace, and took out an almost identical one from his pocket. The necklace was not expensive, and the mermaid was carved from brass. There were no additional decorations, but the necklace was engraved with

Her names are Luya and Mia.
