Chapter 1 Confession

The first day of December, the first day of the lunar month.

Qinghe Terrace is located beside the Jinchuan River. It has been a place that writers and writers have longed for since ancient times.

The scenery here is beautiful, but it is only open on the first day of every month, so early that morning, the Qinghe Terrace was crowded with people.

Su Changle finally woke up early, but his eyes haven't been fully opened yet.

She was sitting in a comfortable carriage, and the cold wind outside could not penetrate at all. She rubbed her eyes, covered Yubazi and yawned delicately.

If it weren't for Jiang Shen, she wouldn't have gotten up so early!

Su Changle woke up, then raised his hand to lift the car curtain, glanced at the dense crowd of people under Qinghe Terrace, and was a little surprised: "It's still so early, and there are already so many people?"

Azhu followed Su Changle and took a look outside, and explained: "Yes, Princess, they all seem to be some talented scholars."

Most of these people are scholars from all over the world, and many of them are country squires who have no talent themselves and come here to watch the fun. There are even older businessmen who don't even want to watch the fun and just want to grab a talented person for themselves.

Son-in-law’s!

Hearing what Azhu said, Su Changle lowered the car curtain unhappily.

"Bah, that's bullshit literary talent, they're just some sour scholars," Su Changle snorted, "They can't even compare to half of Jiang Shen's fingers!"

"Yes, yes, the princess is right, these ordinary people can't compare to a finger of the young master." Ah Zhu said with a smile, raised his hand and filled Su Changle with a bowl of porridge that had been warm in the pot.

"The princess woke up early today and came over before she had time to eat. Let's have a bowl of porridge first to satisfy her stomach."

"Yeah." Su Changle brought over the porridge and drank it one mouthful at a time.

On the Qinghe stage, there were always people setting up shelves and tables that would be used later, and chairs for distinguished guests were also placed next to them.

Those scholars who came in early were all wrapped in cotton-padded clothes. They were talking in twos and threes, and no one noticed Su Changle's carriage parked next to Qinghe Terrace.

"I heard that Jiang Shen will host today's Moon Festival Commentary."

"Jiang Shen? Is this the Jiang Shen who just entered Jinling three months ago and showed his prominence in the Monthly Review?" The scholar said with a sour tone, "He became the host of the Monthly Review in just three months?"

"Otherwise, people are blessed with good fortune. During the Lunar New Year comment three months ago, Wei Taichang came to watch the ceremony. He hit the mark. I heard that as soon as I got off Qinghe Terrace, I turned around and was invited into the mansion by Wei Taichang.

His protégé.”

"Oh, no wonder, tsk tsk," the sour scholar continued, "I heard that Jiang Shen's face is very good. If he wins the imperial examination one day and becomes Taichang's son-in-law, wouldn't his life be a smooth one?

."

"Ahem, who says it's not the case..."

The tradition of Yuedan Criticism has been around for nearly a hundred years, and it spread to the Daqing Dynasty. The previous Yuedan Criticism for selecting officials only left the tradition of many literati and poets coming here to criticize calligraphy, painting, poetry, and nothing else.

Even so, on every first day of the month, some officials would secretly select some promising people to become their disciples, so that they could look after each other when the upstarts entered the court and became officials in the future.

Su Changle woke up after eating a bowl of hot porridge.

Su Changle opened the car curtain and looked anxiously at the Qinghe Terrace, his pink and tender face wrinkled into a ball: "Azhu, did you find out that today's Moon Festival Commentary is hosted by Jiang Shen?"

"Don't worry, Princess, I've asked you all. Today's host is Jiang Shen!"

"Okay, let's wait!"

As soon as Su Changle finished speaking, she saw movement on the Qinghe Terrace.

He saw that the guests on the Qinghe stage had already come up to the stage and were sitting on both sides. Su Changle squinted his eyes and saw that Wei Taichang was the only one who came this month. It seemed that he was here to support Jiang Shen.

After everyone was seated, Jiang Shen slowly came onto the stage from the side.

He first bowed to Wei Taichang who was sitting next to him, and then turned around and stood still in Qinghe Taichung.

At this moment, a gust of cold wind blew by, ruffling the tips of his hair.

He coughed twice, lowered his throat, and then raised his sleeves to bow to the people in the audience.

"Here at Xiajiang Shen, we will inherit the ancient etiquette and welcome celebrities from all over the world."

Hearing Jiang Shen's soft and gentle voice, the people below exclaimed: Jiang Shen is indeed the person that Wei Taichang likes!

Although he was quite thin, wearing only a moon-white robe and a jade hairpin on his head, he couldn't hide the noble look in his eyes. He looked like a good young man who had fallen into trouble in troubled times.

His lips were slightly white, and his face was a little thin and bloodless, but it still couldn't hide his absolute appearance. One glance at him and he knew that this man would never be an ordinary man in the future.

When the voice subsided, Jiang Shen continued: "Everyone, please."

Some people below began to get excited and prepare to take their poems and paintings to the stage, but at this moment, a charming female voice suddenly came from behind everyone.

"Since everyone is so humble, let me, the princess, come first!"

Everyone turned around and looked at the girl standing behind them. They didn't know who recognized the girl in front of them: "This is... Princess Anping?!"

"Ah this..."

"It's actually the princess!"

"Oh my God, why is this little aunt here?!"

"Is it possible that you are here to select a county horse?!"

Su Changle, the princess of Anping County, is recognized as the sister-in-law of Daqing.

His Majesty has no princesses under his knees, and the entire royal family only has one royal daughter, Su Changle, the daughter of King Jin, so she has been loved by your Majesty since she was a child, and was given the title of Anping when she was only ten years old.

I heard that the princess of Anping had been well-behaved, pretty and cute for the past sixteen years, but since three years ago, the princess of Anping seemed to have suddenly changed.

She moved out of the palace and set up another mansion in Jinling, where she kept Mianshou in captivity and behaved wildly.

What's more, according to the laws of this dynasty, those who are princesses and princesses are not allowed to become officials in the dynasty, so everyone does not want to give up their official career just because of such a princess.

Nowadays, no matter whether it is the officials and princes serving in the court or those who claim to be extraordinary, they all shy away from Su Changle, for fear that she will take a fancy to him and ruin his future.

I saw Su Changle dressed in brocade clothes, with a white fox cloak covering her face, making her face look white and lovely.

Looking at such a little girl, no one would have thought that she was the famous Anping Princess.

Su Changle snorted softly and walked through the road where the group of people separated automatically. He walked slowly towards Qinghe Terrace. He was helped up by Ah Zhu and stood opposite Jiang Shen.

She looked at Jiang Shen with a smile.

There was no expression on Jiang Shen's face. He asked respectfully and politely: "I wonder what the girl wants to comment on? Is it poetry or calligraphy and painting? Is it her own masterpiece, or is it someone else's?"

Su Changleyan smiled, looked at Jiang Shen, and said: "I didn't bring anything with me today. I just came here by myself, so I would like to invite you to give me some evaluation of my princess. How about it?"

"Criticizing people? This has never happened before!"

"The princess is indeed the princess, and she starts acting up as soon as she appears!"

"Is this Jiang Shen stupid? He doesn't even know the name of Princess Anping, and he dares to call her a girl!"

Su Changle felt that the people below were very noisy, so he frowned and glanced below. With this glance, the crowd immediately fell silent, and Su Changle felt that the whole world had become quiet.

She urged Jiang Shen in front of her: "Master, is there anything wrong with you?"

"There is nothing wrong with it, but in the past Yuedan Commentary only commented on calligraphy, painting, and poetry. Now if I comment on the princess, I am afraid it will have an impact on the princess."

"You came to Jinling not long ago, maybe you don't know my princess' name, but now you look at me as a scared person?" Su Changle smiled cutely, "Young master can just comment, there is no need.

There are so many concerns.”

Jiang Shen pursed his lips, paused a few times, and then asked: "The girl just said that she is the Princess of Anping, how about I ask the Princess a few questions first?"

Su Changle nodded.

So Jiang Shen asked: "Ask the princess, but before you get married, you set up a new mansion and don't live with your parents?"

"Exactly." Su Changle agreed.

"My second question is, princess, since you are unmarried, why should you pay your respects first?"

Jiang Shen asked this question with an expressionless face, but the people below did not dare to express their anger. They looked at Jiang Shen as if they were looking at a madman: Is he crazy? How dare he poke a hornet's nest in such an upright manner?

?!

Su Changle glanced at Jiang Shen intently, and his face changed slightly: "It seems that the young master is very interested in this princess. In this case, there is nothing that this princess cannot recognize, exactly."

The people below took a deep breath.

This, this, this...

It’s really exciting!

"The third question," Jiang Shen said calmly, "Did the princess kill a court official on the road to exile three years ago?"

Not only did Su Changle's expression change suddenly, but everyone below also stared at Jiang Shen, concluding that this person must be crazy!

Su Changle, the princess of Anping County, is loved by many people, but the public only has three words to describe this princess.

Build a mansion, raise your reputation, and kill your courtiers!

Everyone usually only dares to meet two people in advance for fun, but no one dares to mention the last one, but they didn't expect that Jiang Shen would ask about it today.

He is so crazy, does he not want to live anymore?!

Everyone couldn't figure out Su Changle's thoughts, and no one dared to say anything, for fear that someone's breath would make the aunt unhappy, so they would directly push the person into the Jinchuan River to feed the fish!

I don't know how long it took before Su Changle smiled slightly and said crisply: "That man is just the son of a guilty minister. What is my fault in killing a criminal with my own hands?"

Su Changle snorted softly: "It is an honor for me to personally send someone away if he offends me."

Su Changle said it lightly, but after all, it was a human life.

This little girl is really cruel.

This is also one of the reasons why people have not dared to worship the princess for so many years.

"The Princess is certainly not wrong. I have asked you all the questions I want to ask. Would you like to hear your comments?"

Su Changle nodded and rubbed Tang Pozi hidden in his arms twice: "You say it, this princess is listening."

"A beautiful woman of everlasting beauty, pleasing to the eye, upholding integrity in troubled times, and maintaining the serenity of ten thousand words, she is no small woman."

After Jiang Shen said this, the people below read it a few times and breathed a sigh of relief quietly.

Although this was not very clear, it still meant a bit of praise. The princess wouldn't hold on to him in public, so maybe Jiang Shen could save his life.

I don't know if Su Changle understood it, but there was no look of anger on her face.

She nodded gently: "Very good, I am very satisfied. That's it..."
