Chapter 259 Fighting in the rear of the enemy V

Kursk is a relatively large city. Although evacuation was carried out after the outbreak of the war, the city fell into ruin as soon as the work began, so that most of the residents stayed in the city.
The residents who had been busy in the east of the city were walking home one after another when they suddenly saw German soldiers escorting a group of prisoners coming in from outside the city. The German police who were patrolling the streets hurriedly drove the residents walking on the sidewalk to avoid affecting the progress of the prisoners.
From the outbreak of the war to the present, a large number of Soviet commanders and fighters have become prisoners of the Germans and are humiliated to marching on their own land. As a city occupied by the Germans, residents can often see Soviet prisoners of war escorted from all over the country. Therefore, they all stood quietly on the side of the road, looking at the German soldiers and prisoners of war marching on the street with numb expressions.
When the prisoners of war passed by themselves, the residents dispersed and returned to their homes, because a curfew would soon be required. If they continued to stay on the street, once they were caught by the Germans, they might be treated as underground resisters, locked up in a dark prison, or shot in the street.
But a young worker named Yarak stayed in the distance without moving. He unexpectedly discovered that the prisoners of war had quickly divided into four teams after entering the city, each team consisting of ten German soldiers carrying two guns and thirty Soviet prisoners of war with bare hands. They walked quickly along different streets led by police officers who helped maintain order.
"What's going on?" Yarac murmured in a low voice: "The camp where prisoners are imprisoned is in the south of the city, but it is obvious that this captive team is not heading in that direction. Do they want to lock all the newly captured prisoners in the city? But even if they want to lock up in the city, they should be locked up in one place. How could they go to different directions at the same time?"
Just as Yarak was thinking about it, he suddenly saw a German policeman running out of the crowd and shouting something loudly in German. But his shouting was quickly interrupted. A German soldier who rushed out covered his mouth with his hands and cut his neck with a sharp dagger.
Seeing this shocking scene, Yarak couldn't help but widen his eyes in surprise, "What's going on? Why did the Germans start to kill each other?" He was afraid of being affected by the fish in the pond, so he hid in a corner and carefully observed the movements in the distance.
The killed policeman was thrown into the ruins next to him, and the German soldiers who killed him returned to the team. Strangely, the prisoners of war in the team actually gave him a thumbs up, and someone patted him twice on the shoulder. Seeing this scene, Yarak became more and more surprised. When did the relationship between the prisoners of war and the Germans become so friendly? What's more, after killing a German policeman.
But what surprised him even more was still behind. After the German police on duty on the street was cleared, a group of Soviet commanders and fighters appeared at the entrance of the city. They used the buildings or ruins on both sides of the street to quickly advance forward.
"Comrade Battalion Commander," a strange voice suddenly sounded beside Yarac: "A commoner has been found here. How should we deal with him?"
Yarac turned his head and saw more than a dozen Soviet commanders and fighters standing behind him, one of whom was an officer. He was afraid that he would be subjected to the consequences of the German policeman, and his legs trembled and said nervously: "No, don't kill me, I didn't see anything." After he said these two sentences, he wanted to escape, but because he was too scared, his legs could not move at all, so he could only stand in place and leave it to fate.
The officer standing in front of Yarac was nothing but Sokov. In order to speed up the capture of Kursk, he ordered soldiers disguised as Germans to clear the Germans on the streets they passed so that he could follow them with his troops into the city.
I thought it was getting late and the residents returned to their homes, but I didn't expect to find a resident who was peeping here. Sokov looked at the young man in front of him and asked with a stern expression: "Who are you, what kind of work are you doing?"
"Comrade Commander," he heard the person on the other side speak standard Russian. Yarak guessed that the other party might be a real Soviet soldier. His heart was hanging in his throat and put it back in his stomach. He quickly replied, "My name is Yarak, a worker from the machinery factory. He just passed by here after get off work. Seeing a group of Germans escorting our soldiers into the city, out of curiosity, he stopped and took a few more glances."
"Tell me, Yarak." Sokov put his finger on the trigger of the assault rifle. If the other party's reply did not satisfy him, he would pull the trigger without hesitation and send the other party to see God: "What have you seen?"
"I just saw a German soldier who killed a German policeman who led the way for them." After saying this, Yarak immediately realized that the German soldier he saw might be disguised by the Soviet army, so he asked in surprise: "Comrade Commander, aren't those Germans disguised by our comrades?"
Sokov moved his finger away from the trigger, nodded at him, and said, "Yes, it's indeed our comrade. Yarak, do you know where there are Germans?"
"Yes, there are Germans in our factory." Yarak said gritting his teeth: "There are five German soldiers and twenty policemen. They are afraid that we will steal the products from the factory and give them to the guerrillas. Every day when we get off work, we will search us at the end of our body. Two days ago, the Germans suspected that several workers were from the underground resistance organization, so they caught them at the entrance of the factory and shot them all in front of everyone."
"Damn Germans, it's time to get them to repay their blood debts." Sokov said this and asked Yarak: "Yarak, are you willing to take my people to the factory?"
When Yarac heard Sokov say this, he immediately realized that the other party was planning to get rid of the German soldiers and police in the factory. He nodded vigorously and said excitedly: "I am willing, comrade commander, I am willing to lead you."
