Chapter 698 Tank Soldier (Part 1)

Ivanov did not disappoint Sokov's expectations. He found twenty soldiers who had been tank soldiers in the guard battalion. He originally planned to find someone to take them to the defense zone of the 122nd Regiment, but he was worried, so he greeted Sidolin and brought the group of soldiers to the workers' new village.
When he appeared in the regiment command post, Papchinko, who was commanding the battle, was surprised: "Comrade Deputy Division Commander, why did you come here?"
"I came to send the tanker to the division commander." Ivanov whispered to the group of soldiers standing at the door, and asked back: "Where is the division commander?"
Papchinko took him to the window, pointed to a building in the distance, and said, "The observation center of the division commander is located in that building."
Seeing that there were still shells falling around the building with only two stories left, Ivanov frowned: "Hell, Lieutenant Colonel Papchinko, how could you keep the division commander in such a dangerous place?"
Hearing Ivanov's duties, Papuqinko spread his hands and said helplessly: "Comrade Deputy Commander, you don't know what the position of the observation center was chosen by the commander himself, and I have no right to change his decision."
"Ltd Colonel," Ivanov saw the shells explode from time to time on the way to the building. He felt that he would have to run over with a group of people, at least half of the loss. He asked Papchinko with a stern face: "Which road is safer to that building?"
When Papuchinko heard Ivanov say this, he knew that he was going to take people to Sokov, and quickly replied: "Comrade Deputy Division Commander, you can go through the sewer. No matter how fierce the enemy's shells are, they cannot hurt you."
"Sewer?" Ivanov heard Papchinko mention the sewer and suddenly remembered that Sokov once said that he planned to use the sewer to connect the fortifications in order to better attack the enemy. However, he had never passed through the sewer, and he was inevitably a little nervous: "Comrade Lieutenant Colonel, do you have any soldiers who are familiar with the terrain of the sewer? Let him serve as a guide for us and take us to the division commander."
Ivanov followed the guide sent by Papchinko to enter the sewer in the workers' village. As soon as he entered, the smell almost made him fuck him. He quickly covered his nose with his hands and asked the soldier who led the way: "Comrade Soldier, do you often use this sewer?"
"Yes, comrade of the deputy division commander. We went through the sewer and entered another building." The soldier noticed that Ivanov was a little uncomfortable with the smell in the sewer and hurriedly said to him: "When I first came in, the smell was a little unbearable, but after a long time, I got used to it."
In order to maintain his image in front of the warrior, Ivanov quickly put down his hands covering his nose, pretended to be calm, and said to the warrior: "Comrade Warrior, you are right. When I first came in, the smell here was indeed a bit bad, but after a long time, I adapted. Look, I have now fully adapted to the environment here. Okay, take us to the building where the division commander is located."
Under the leadership of the warriors, Ivanov and the group of tank soldiers walked through the maze-like sewer. Ivanov said with emotion: "The terrain here is so complicated. If no one leads the way, it is easy to get lost inside."
"You are right, comrade, deputy division commander." The soldier turned back to Ivanov as he walked, "When the enemy attacked for the first time, the regiment commander ordered us to reinforce the comrades on the west side. Because they were not familiar with the terrain, everyone got lost in the sewer. As a result, we were not able to reach our destination until the buildings were lost."
Ivanov was the kind of commander who would fight for inch of land. When he heard that the German army occupied the buildings on the west side, he quickly asked with concern: "Have all the lost positions been taken back?"
"Yes," the warrior said, "We entered the enemy-occupied buildings through the sewer, and launched an attack on them unexpectedly, caught them off guard. It took less than ten minutes to drive them out of the buildings."
During the chat, they came to the bottom of the building where Sokov was. The soldiers led everyone to a closet of an exit, but did not go out immediately. Instead, they learned to meow twice. Before Ivanov asked him why he wanted to meow, someone had already leaned over and asked, "Who is below?"
"It's me, Tonya!" the soldier asked at the top, "Is it Lieutenant Samoilov?"
"Yes, it's me." Samoilov, who was crouching outside the entrance of the sewer, asked, "Who is the person who came with you?"
"It's me, Lieutenant Samoilov." Ivanov heard the person who spoke, followed Samoilov, the platoon leader of the guard beside Sokov, and quickly spoke out: "I am Ivanov."
"Ah, it's the deputy commander." Samoilov was shocked when he heard Ivanov's voice: "Why are you here?"
"I am sending tank soldiers to the division commander," Ivanov looked up at Samoilov above and asked, "Is the division commander here?"
"Yes, the division commander is here." Samoilov bent down and stretched out his hand at Ivanov: "Comrade Deputy Division Commander, grab my hand, I'll pull you up!"
With the help of Samoilov, Ivanov and the tank soldiers climbed out of the sewer in turn. Ivanov, who breathed fresh air again, took two deep breaths and asked Samoilov: "Comrade Lieutenant, where is the division commander?"
"Comrade Deputy Division Commander, please come with me." Samoilov said so, but his feet did not move. His eyes were on the tank soldiers who followed Ivanov.
Ivanov saw Samoilov's embarrassment and quickly said to the group of tank soldiers: "Comrades, you can wait here for a while. I will go to see the division commander first, and I will arrange tasks for you later." After arranging the tank soldiers, he raised his chin at Samoilov and signaled that the other party to take him to see Sokov.
Sokov, who was holding a telescope, never dreamed that Ivanov would appear in his observation room. He put down the telescope and asked in surprise: "Comrade Deputy Commander, why are you here not staying at the command center but running here?"
"Comrade Commander," Ivanov replied with a smile, "Don't you need tank soldiers? I found twenty in the guard battalion and brought them all."
Although the five tanks that Peter promised had not arrived yet, it would be better for the tank soldiers to take their seats first. Sokov asked quickly: "Comrade Deputy Division Commander, where are they?"
