Chapter 992 Father and Daughter Reunion

Sokov came to the location of the health team in a familiar way.
Since the battle in the city has ended, most of the wounded people who were originally placed here have been moved to the rear, and the originally crowded place seems a little empty.
When Asia saw Sokov's appearance, she showed a surprise expression on her face: "Misha, why do you have time to come to see me today?"
Sokov stepped forward and gave Asia a warm hug, and then asked with concern: "Asia, how are you doing recently?"
"Most of the wounded were sent away, and there were less than 200 wounded people left." Asia said with a relaxed expression: "Now there are another group of small health workers coming to help, and my job is much easier."
Sokov was worried about how to explain his purpose. Since Asia took the initiative to mention the new health workers, she asked with the flow: "There is a little girl named Ada among these young health workers. Do you know where she is?"
Asia looked at Sokov with a suspicious look, then turned her head toward the little sanitary workers who were busy taking care of the wounded. After looking for a while, she pointed at a round-faced girl who was feeding the wounded and said, "Here, that little girl is the person you are looking for. She is quick-witted and diligent. It won't take long to make her an outstanding sanitary worker here."
"Take good care of her." Sokov saw someone walking back and forth nearby, and whispered to Asia: "Don't let her suffer any harm."
Asia withdrew her gaze and asked in confusion: "Misha, you have never asked me to do anything privately, why did you make an exception this time? Could it be that this little girl is a relative of you?"
"Asia, there is something I want to tell you, please keep it confidential." Henry leaned close to Asia's ear and whispered to her: "Based on my analysis, this little girl named Ada may be the daughter of General Rokosovsky, the commander of the front army."
"Ah, she is the commander's daughter?" Asia whispered in surprise, then asked back: "Misa, can you be sure?"
Sokov saw Ada's photos in later generations, and then contacted the name he saw on the roster, and had already determined that this person was Rokosovsky's daughter, so he answered with certainty: "That's right, it's her."
"Since she is the daughter of Comrade Commander, why did she send her here?" Portia asked nervously: "You know, we are a combat force here, and there is a possibility of sacrifice at any time. Even if she joins the army, she should go to the logistics agency, and the dangers she encounters there are much smaller."
"I think General Rokosovsky doesn't know about Ada's joining the army." Sokov sighed softly and said, "As far as I know, the father and daughter have never met since the day the war broke out. Ada came to the army just to see her father."
"Misha, I think you should report this matter to the top." Asia reminded Sokov: "It is necessary to let the commander know that his daughter is here as soon as possible."
"I have asked the Chief of Staff to call Commander Cuikov. I believe he will report to the Commander of the Front after he understands the situation." Sokov warned Asia: "Remember, Ada's identity must be kept absolutely confidential so as not to bring danger to her."
"Don't worry, Misha." Asia nodded and replied, "I will not disclose her identity. At the same time, I will take good care of her and never let her suffer any harm."
As soon as Sokov returned to the command center, Cidolin reported to him: "Comrade Commander, I have reported this matter to the commander. He was shocked after hearing this and repeatedly questioned me for a long time. After confirming that it was correct, he said that he would immediately report it to the commander of the front army."
"You did a good job, Comrade Chief of Staff." Sokov affirmed Sidolin's approach. He felt that Rokosovsky would come soon after hearing his daughter in Mamayev's hill: "Maybe they will have a chance to reunite soon."
"By the way, comrade of the division, there is another good news to tell you." Sidolin said excitedly: "Just heard Commander Cuikov say that our friendly forces have just recovered Kursk today, and are also attacking the city of Bellgorod. We believe that it will take not long to drive the enemy out of the city."
Sokov walked to the wall, looked up at the map hanging on it, and tried to search for relevant content in his mind. After sorting out the information he remembered, he picked up the explanation stick beside the wall and said to everyone: "Comrades, as long as the friendly forces occupy Kursk and Belgorod, they can continue to go south and take back Kharkov from the Germans."
"It's interesting, it's so interesting." Ivanov, who was standing behind Sokov, said: "In May last year, our army launched an attack on the Caucasus and Stalingrad after our defeat in the attack on Kharkov. Now, we have to pay back the blood debt from the Germans."
"Comrade Commander," Sidolin asked Sokov tentatively: "Do you think friendly forces can take Kharkov?"
"There is no problem to take down Kharkov." Sokov tried to tell everyone the historical knowledge he had in a tactful tone: "But after seizing the city, the troops deployed by friendly troops in the city may face the crazy counterattack of the German army, and the battle will be very serious."
But Sokov's statement did not arouse everyone's vigilance at all. On the contrary, Ivanov and Anisimov also optimistically analyzed the situation, believing that as long as the Soviet army regained Kharkov, they could cut off Manstein's retreat and surrounded the other side so that they could fight another annihilation battle similar to the Battle of Stalingrad.
Sokov did not pour cold water on everyone's optimism. After all, it was a combat area for friendly forces, and even if he said something, it would be useless. Instead of doing this, it would be better to let everyone enjoy themselves based on their imagination.
Seeing Sokov remained silent, Ivanov thought the other party agreed with his opinion, and said with regret: "It's a pity that our division did not participate in this attack, otherwise it would be us who would rush into Manstein Command's troops first."
"It's a pity." Ciedolin also said regretfully: "If the attack of friendly forces could be postponed for half a month to one month, and after our division completed the replenishment, Manstein might become our prisoner."
The phone ringing on the table rang. Sokov picked up the microphone and heard Cuikov's voice coming from it: "Col. Sokov, General Rokosovsky will be able to arrive at Mamayev's hill in half an hour. Please pay attention to reception."
It turned out that Rokosovsky was inspecting the troops nearby. After receiving the report from Cuikov, he immediately put down his work and came to Mamayev's hill. Less than ten minutes after Cuikov's call, Rokosovsky appeared in the division command center. He asked Sokov: "Misha, where is Ada?"
"Comrade Commander of the Front Army, there is a room next to it, which is relatively quiet. You can wait there for a while. Ada will arrive soon."
"Comrade Commander, please come with me." As soon as Sokov finished speaking, Sidolin immediately led Rokosovsky to the next room: "I'll take you there."
As soon as Rokosovsky walked out of the room, Sokov called the health team and said to Asia who was answering the phone: "Asia, it's me, immediately take Ada to the division command center, and someone wants to see her."
"Is it..." Asia's words came to an abrupt end. She obviously understood who was going to see Ada, and hurriedly said, "I'll take her over immediately."
A few minutes later, Asia and Ada appeared at the gate of the command center. Sokov quickly met and said to the two: "Come with me!"
Sokov brought the two to the door of the room where Rokosovsky was. Ada's eyes accidentally swept into the room. Seeing Rokosovsky who was paced back and forth, he was stunned. Rokosovsky noticed someone appeared at the door, and stopped. After seeing Ada standing outside the door, he stood there in a daze. The father and daughter were silently facing each other, both standing there as if they were lit with acupuncture.
