Chapter 352 The Falling Dream(1/2)

Chapter 352 Falling Dream

Chiharu Noma had a dream.

The beginning of the dream——

Noma was sitting in a cubicle in the office building of the company where he worked, typing on the keyboard as usual.

The boring mechanical work went on for a long time.

Then, at a certain moment, she suddenly heard an exclamation.

"Fire! It's on fire!"

Someone shouted like this.

Choking thick smoke filled the air from somewhere in the office building, and screams were drowned out. Colleagues ran outside in panic.

Chiharu Noma was pushed and squeezed into the corridor by the crowd. She could see black smoke billowing and flames flickering below the stairwell.

In the corridor, many people crowded at the elevator entrance, screaming and wailing with distorted faces.

In this situation, it is obviously unwise to take the elevator to escape.

Just when Chiharu Noma didn't know what to do and felt desperate, she noticed a man in the crowd——

That man was different from those around him who were anxious for survival.

He just stood there quietly, looking at Chiharu Noma. Many people crowded around him, rubbing shoulders one after another, but the men didn't care. They just stayed motionless and stared at Chiharu Noma.

The man wears a black suit, white shirt, and a striking red tie.

His eyebrows are thick, his hairline is high, and his mouth is closed with a wide grin.

Strange facial features.

It looks a little unnatural, and I can't tell what's wrong.

Noma Chiharu looked at the strange man for a few seconds, then the other man suddenly pushed through the crowd and walked forward.

"Follow me." He said.

The man's voice sounded ordinary, with no emotional ups and downs, but it had a strange persuasiveness.

Chiharu Noma took his hand and followed him through the anxious and noisy crowd.

The two started running in the corridor and ran straight to the stairwell.

The smoke is billowing here and the heat wave is overwhelming.

The fire below is spreading upward.

The man pulled Chiharu Noma and ran upstairs without caring.

When a fire breaks out in a high-rise building, it is not a wise choice to escape upward.

After a fire, the smoke rises very quickly, which may cause people to be stunned or even killed by the smoke.

But Noma Chiharu, who was caught in the dream, didn't consider this and just followed the man, running as if she was grasping a life-saving straw.

It was very hot in the stairwell, the smell of fireworks was choking, and screams could be heard from every floor along the way.

Chiharu Noma ran out of breath. When she came to her senses, she had followed the strange man to the roof of the office building.

The wind on the rooftop was very strong, and the fire in the office building did not reach here for the time being.

I don't know if I can wait here for rescue.

"Thank you."

Chiharu Noma thanked the strange man.

The other party didn't respond to her.

He just grinned his strangely proportioned mouth, then continued to hold Noma's hand and walked towards the edge of the rooftop.

"Well, you hurt me."

Chiharu Noma didn't know what the man was going to do, so she tried to break away from the other man's hand.

But that strange man had great strength.

The five fingers were firmly embedded in Chiharu Noma's wrist, like steel pliers, dragging her to the edge of the rooftop regardless.

"Stop! Let me go!"

Chiharu Noma, who had just recovered from the fear caused by the fire, felt scared again and continued to resist, but it was of no use.

The man dragged her to the edge of the rooftop, picked her up by the waist, and pushed her to the guardrail.

"No! Please, no."

The man showed no mercy to Chiharu Noma's pleas and raised his hand to push her off the edge of the guardrail.

The wind whistled in my ears, and a strong feeling of weightlessness enveloped my whole body.

Generally speaking, when a person dreams of falling from a high altitude, in reality the body's hands and feet will twitch due to tension, which will lead to myotic spasms and wake him up.

This is considered a self-protection mechanism of the human body.

But Chiharu Noma did not wake up immediately, but her consciousness seemed to have become clearer the moment she fell to the rooftop.

She realized she was dreaming.

And she suddenly remembered that this was not the first time she had had this weird dream.

How many times has it been?

the sixth time?

Seventh time?

I can’t remember clearly, I seem to have dreamed about it many days.

She only remembered that in the dream, she had followed the man in a suit and thick eyebrows to the rooftop again and again.

Again and again, he was pushed down maliciously by the other party.

The first time she had this dream, she woke up the moment she fell off the rooftop.

The second time, I woke up after falling for a while...

The fourth time, she fell from a high altitude past her office floor.

Through the transparent glass, I saw the raging fire in the corridor, and saw the scorched black figures burning all over, wailing and running...

Then I woke up covered in sweat.

"It's just a dream. But this time, where do I have to fall to wake up?"

Chiharu Noma had such an idea inexplicably.

Falling, falling, falling…

Noma looked up.

He found the man with thick eyebrows lying on the edge of the rooftop, staring at him and smiling at him.

It was obvious that the distance between the two of them had been widened by Chiharu Noma's fall, but the details of the man's expression could be seen very clearly.

He grinned, his smile was stiff, weird, and unnatural...

In the blink of an eye, Chiharu Noma had already fallen past the office floor where she was located, falling deeper.

Below is the road outside the office building, and the patterns of bricks and stones on the sidewalk are becoming more and more distinct.

"Will I wake up after falling to the ground this time?" Chiharu Noma thought, "If I fall to the ground like this in reality, I must be dead, right? But this is just a dream, this is just a dream, I will wake up

Came here."

But then again.

Every time I have this dream, the distance I fall will be farther than the last time.

What would it mean if it really fell to the ground?

Will you never have this dream again?

Or... will he never wake up again?

This idea is a bit scary.

Ding bell——ding bell——

Just as Chiharu Noma was about to land, a blurry red light suddenly flashed out beside her, accompanied by the crisp sound of a bell ringing.

"Puff, puff!"

Noma also heard the cry of some unknown small animal ringing in his ears.

at the same time.

On the roof of the rooftop, the man with thick eyebrows who was still lying down, smiling, and staring down, was shrouded in red light and torn to pieces...

real world.

On the roof of a residential building in Chiyoda District, Tokyo, the wind howled at midnight.
