Chapter 10 MS Attack

Life always passes quickly with concentration, but in a blink of an eye, life has passed on March 15, CE70. Rod felt that he had remembered the operation manual and then came to the hangar on the first floor of the underground. The MS as high as 15 meters was very annoying among a group of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, but just like his height, this new killing machine squeezed tanks, weapons that dominated the continent for hundreds of years, out of the historical stage.

"Have you debugged it?" Rhode saw Brandt standing at MS's feet at a glance, whose green hair was indeed quite eye-catching.

"Head, it's almost done, I'll wait for you to go up and try it, but I have to thank Miss Berdandy for her support, so we can figure out the temper of this machine so quickly." Brandt patted GINN's cold armor, and at the same time exclaimed Teresa, who was standing beside him. Perhaps their age difference is not much, and they are all coordinators and fellow villagers, but it's a perfect match anyway.

Rhode turned around and nodded to the bad-looking girl and said, "Thank you so much for your cooperation. I believe that the Affairs Department will definitely work well."

"I hope you keep your promise this time." Theresa was caught in her hand, and she could only deal with her patience.

"Of course." Rhodes opened his mouth and showed an ugly smile. The girl had used her value and it was nothing to let her go back. Then he said to Brandt, "Prepare to start the test." Then, when he stepped on the ascending lock, he entered the cockpit located on GINN's abdomen.

GINN's cockpit is not spacious, it's just like a person being squeezed out. It's a true single-seat MS. Rhode sat in the seat and recalled the functions of various buttons inside the MS in the operating manual, and finally pressed it to the start button.

"The main power supply of MS is started, no abnormalities, start the startup check." Rhode said to the microphone beside him, and then various data began to flash quickly on the chest-length display screen. Then Rhode's eyes quickly captured the data that kept flashing and began to report the situation to the preparatory officers:

"The armor system has no abnormalities, the buffer system has no problems, the electronic system is working normally, the fire control system is CLEVE, equipment and weapons: MMI-XM17 type 37.5MM assault rifle, physical heavy sword."

"Very good, there are no abnormalities in the whole body, please continue to test." Brandt's voice came to Rod's ears.

"Check the marching test." Rhode stepped down the pedal, and the steel giant more than ten meters began to take a slow step. The loud noise caused by each step was as violent as an earthquake. Rhode made continuous movements of moving back and forth, and found that although he was a little uncomfortable, he was not very slow. In short, this MS was still relatively flexible.

"BOSS, no problem, go to the surface to continue." Although Brandt saw that MS's movements were stiff, it took a few days to reach this level, which means that his team leader is a genius, at least surpassing most coordinators in driving MS. He turned his head and looked at Teresa next to him, and the other one had a weird expression. How to say it, it included two feelings of surprise and jealousy.

Rhodes didn't have the heart to think so much, or he was now putting his whole body on this MS. It's no exaggeration to say that 90% of the new GINN is like his bride, and a belief that he was eager to become stronger filled his entire brain.

Rhode drove GINN to the ground, and first did a running move, but unfortunately fell to the ground. Rhode, who was in the cockpit, was violently shocked and knocked out two holes on his head because he was not wearing a helmet. However, even though his head was bleeding, he never snorted, just as these injuries were being suffered from others.

"BOSS, it's okay. Otherwise, we'll call the medic immediately!" Brandt in the monitor was startled, and the boy screamed immediately.

"No," Rhode responded coldly, then quickly checked whether the precious MS was injured, and then controlled her to get up from the ground to continue the test.

"but……"

"No, but, like a man, Valris. If you can't stand being a mercenary, you will become a soldier of the United Army and a child of ZAFT." Rhode squeezed out a smile. He knew that his talent was definitely not as good as a coordinator. If he had no steel-like will, he would be a passerby when he went to the battlefield.

Rhodes was originally a persistent and stubborn person, and his iron will was quite rare in this comfortable CE era.

After 5 hours

Brandt and a group of mechanics stood under the dusty MS and watched his regiment commander, the man with brown curly hair, jumped off the traction. Brandt waved his hand, and the medics who had been waiting for a long time surrounded him, handing over the water, checking the wound.

Fortunately, the wound was not deep, the wound was already scarred, and it was blocked by Rhode's medium-length brown hair, so there was no scar. Teresa stood aside and looked at the man in confusion.

"How about the boss?" Brandt asked.

"If you say physically, you're just a little dizzy. If you say MS driving, I feel as incompetent as a recruit. And the shooting adjuster needs to be modified. The hot climate in the desert seems to have disturbed the aiming system." Rodra wiped his sweat through a towel.

"But your shooting percentage remained at around 70% during the shooting test." Brandt looked at the shooting range in the distance and said with some confusion.

"That's because I used experience to adjust my shooting. How to say it is like using a rifle to attack enemies of different distances." Rod explained. At first he noticed something was wrong as soon as he fired, but after a closer look, he got rid of his reliance on the auxiliary aiming system.

"You are such a genius, boss..." Brandt didn't know what to say for a moment. As a person who could perform so well after taking the MS for the first time, there was no other description except genius.

Rhode nodded. He was not a ‘doctor’ and always maintained a cautious and modest attitude, or he didn’t care about other people’s praise at all.

Rhodes drove the body back to the underground hangar and discussed it with several mechanics for a while, who began to make minor adjustments to the OS.

These days are destined to be busy. Rhodes even sleep and eat in the hangar. Every day from morning to night, a dusty MS can always be seen jumping around in the open space outside the base. At least this training intensity is enough to make the coordinator with super physical fitness unbearable. But Rhodes finally survived, and with the help of reasonable eating and rest, his body did not collapse, because in terms of patience, he, an elite who does special forces missions, is stronger than the coordinator.
