Chapter 31 Return to Alexandria

While riding before the convoy arrived, Rhode took a good look at the material base. He saw that the base covers about one square kilometer and is surrounded by barbed wire. When he came in from the gate, there were two rows of warehouses. The locked doors were already roughly opened by the mercenaries. When Rhode looked in, the first three warehouses were all neatly decorated with military uniforms and bedding, as well as a lot of food and drinking water. Of course, the quantity was not too large. This was just a material transfer station on the front line.

The back seat warehouse is full of arms and MS parts, and all weapons and ammunition are neatly packed there. Many things are brand new, which can be said to be just shipped from PLANT.

Rhodes were not very interested in these things, because he was on the run and didn't have so much time to load these arms. What interested him the most was the heavy weapons covered with canvas in the open space behind the warehouse.

"Open all of this." Rhode ordered the mercenaries.

As soon as the canvas was unveiled, Rod laughed in an instant. It turned out that the canvas was full of brand new MSs, 4 GINNs, and 2 Deans, all of which were just shipped out of the factory. Rod touched the cold armor and sighed in his heart that this sneak attack was not unfair. The mercenary group did not die. Not only did it deal with more than 50 ZAFT soldiers, but even these MSs who were about to be transported to the front line were snatched by him.

Adding to the two GINNs at the gate, this time I attacked 8 MS! As expected, robbery is the best way to quickly develop and get rich.

After waiting for about ten minutes, the convoy finally arrived. Klose jumped out of the jeep in front and walked to the MSs in Rona in three or two steps and said in surprise: "My God, there are so many good things here."

"My judgment is not wrong. Now I finally made up for Alahman's losses." Rhodes was in a happy mood and couldn't help laughing. In the Alaman Silver Wolf, all the heavy equipment was thrown there except for two GINNs, which really made him, the head of the family very sad. However, after the eight MSs were added in front of him, Rhodes dared to say that the Silver Wolf would be the most powerful mercenary group on earth.

"But how do we take it away? There are only 6 trailers, and at most 4 can only be taken away." Kloser's next question made Rhode frown. In fact, it was not only because the towing was insufficient, but at least he could not find so many heavy transport aircraft when he arrived in Alexander! Moreover, the tragedy at Alexander's air force base is still vivid in my mind. It is hard to say whether there are heavy transport aircraft.

"Then take away 4 GINNs and blow up the rest." Rhode thought for a while, but gritted his teeth and decided! He was a decisive person, so he would not hesitate because of this huge wealth.

"Then... OK." Kloze agreed unwillingly, 4 MS, as a mercenary, know how precious these things are! But he is not a child either, so he immediately arranged personnel to blast the entire material base, not even giving ZAFT one.

"Brand!" After dealing with the MS matter, Rhode called the head of the preparatory division and said, "Go to those warehouses immediately and take away all the things you can use!"

"Yeah, I understand." Blante nodded and waved to several preparatory teachers to immediately select parts.

The mercenary group does not have a fixed source of logistics, and basically relies on picking up rags and black market transactions to supplement it. Of course, when encountering the right time, you can also play the role of a robber.

The mercenaries were very fast, and in the end, even the remaining soldiers of the Earth Army joined the ranks of large-scale relocation. Four GINNs were brought to the trailer in about half an hour (I didn't have time to change the OS, so it was directly controlled by the coordinator Ragner), and several load-load trucks were loaded.

"Okay, let's retreat first after ZAFT reacted." Seeing that the time was almost over, Rhode quickly ordered the entire convoy to continue on the road. After the convoy was far away, Rhode, who was walking at the end, pressed the detonation button.

With a loud "boom", a cloud of mushrooms rose directly from the desert. The high-energy explosives detonated the mountains of ammunition piled up in the material warehouse. The power was like a small nuclear bomb. The hot air current could be felt several kilometers away.

Thanks to the spread of neutron jammers, ZAFT contacted this base several times but didn't respond, but thought it was caused by communication interference. When they sent a helicopter to check the next day, they only saw the ruins all over the ground.

After one vote, the entire convoy did not cause trouble, but rushed to Alexander in a very regular manner. At midnight the next day, Rhodes finally saw the convoy of the ancient city.

He saw a roar of air force base in the south of the city from afar, and transport planes kept taking off and landing here. Until here, the big rock in Rhodes' heart was finally put down. It seemed that the Earth Army west of Alamein really had to retreat with Alexander's large base, and under the pressure of survival, the Earth Army also burst out with strong fighting spirit. The originally bumpy airport runway was actually repaired in one day and one night.

Rhodes observed the takeoff transport planes and found that most of them were heading south, proving that the Eurasian Federation has not given up its struggle on the African continent. Perhaps if the hundreds of thousands of soldiers in the south were given up, the government would definitely be pushed down by angry families. There was no way, and politicians had to fill in more pieces in this game for their own future.

The convoy slowly approached the air force base, but was stopped by the Earth Army, which strengthened its defense.

"Stop! Which unit are you from?" With a shout, the two tanks on both sides of the base gate turned their guns and aimed at the dusty convoy.

"We came down from Alahman. I am the leader of the Silver Wolf Mercenary Corps. We have people from the Eighth Mechanized Division and the Sixth Armored Division here." Rhodes did not sit in the cockpit of GINN, but was in a jeep in the front.

"Call the people in charge of your affairs here." The garrison relaxed its vigilance. There were many troops withdrawn from the east over the past day. Just like the end of the world, they dared not guarantee what these defeated soldiers would do.

Rhodes signaled several Earth Army officers in the car, who quickly got up and walked to the guardhouse in front of the gate with him.

The Earth Army does not buy the mercenary group's accounts, so it is time to let these old men who have followed along, and this is also the purpose of Rhodes taking these oil bottles to the road together.

"I am Lieutenant Colonel Jean Pinal of the 23rd Regiment of the Eighth Mechanized Division. This is my certificate." The officer with the highest rank here handed his certificate to the sentry for inspection. Although the uniforms were all ragged, the slightly fat soldier returned to his former arrogant appearance, which made the ZAFT spies unable to learn.

Seeing that the lieutenant colonel officer on duty came, he did not dare to neglect. He quickly identified it carefully and asked several other officers to hand over the documents. At this time, he shouted to the gate: "It's our people, let them in!"

Then the cold-faced officer saluted and asked Rhodes and others to go back.

The door slowly opened, and the exhausted convoy finally found a relatively safe place. The escape for several days has made the group unable to bear it, but Rhodes didn't even have time to rest.
