Chapter 19 Shooting

Li Wan (Zhao Yazhi) and Ruan Shizhuo (Wan Ziliang) are sweet couples in the eyes of outsiders. Li Wan claimed to the public that they were about to get married. One day, someone found two bodies of a man and a woman on Longhu Mountain. The police confirmed that Li Wan and Ruan Shizhuo were Li Wan and Ruan Shizhuo, and suspected that the murderer was a madman living in a broken house in the mountain (Xu Shaoqiang), and detained him.

Li Wan's friend Lian Zhengming (Zhang Aijia) found that there were many difficult aspects to explain the case, so he asked his friend to check the autopsy report and went to Macau to investigate it in person, and finally found the truth of the case.

The script story of "Crazy Job" is roughly the same. It was created by Chen Yunwen based on a bizarre double corpse murder case that took place on Longhu Mountain in 1970. Chen Chong remembered this background, so he quickly found the shooting location of that year, which surprised Anhua and Chen Yunwen.

On Friday, February 16, the crew officially started filming.

Chen Chong was not present at the opening ceremony. The magazine was very important to his future plans, so Chen Chong had to take care of everything, reviewing manuscripts, designing artworks, layout layout, etc., and had to interview reporters and editors who came to apply for the job. They were busy. In the first few days of the crew's filming, Chen Chong just wandered around every day and showed his face. The producer's main work was left to Zeng Lizhen.

It was not until three days later that Chen Chong took out a day of free time to perform his duties as a producer in "Crazy Job".

According to the shooting plan, Ann Hsu was about to shoot some shots of the street near the street near Li Wan's house played by Zhao Yazhi. Chen Chong stood outside the venue and carefully observed the details of Ann Hsu's scene scheduling. Whenever he had any experience, he would immediately take out paper and pen and record it for future reference.

Chen Chong always felt that everyone, whether it is a lawyer, official, white-collar worker, street vendor, migrant workers on construction sites, or even robbers or thieves, had a dream of filming in his heart, dreaming of making a movie of his own, because life was too monotonous and boring.

He is naturally no exception, but he is neither a professional nor has any shooting experience. After a while, when the conditions are ripe, he will definitely be a director himself.

"Mr. Chen, I have never seen a producer like you." After completing a shot, Chang Aijia walked to Chen Chong, looked at the small notebook in his hand, and joked: "Hold the small notebook to record everyone's performance, and then deduct wages at the checkout?"

"Sister Zhang is joking." Chen Chong looked at Zhang Aijia's beautiful face and big black and white eyes, smiled, and gave her the book openly, saying, "I am just very interested in the director's work, and record some experience."

"The simplest and most decent scene design is the best. Everything in the scene should be helpful to the development of the story. If not, it should not be put in... The real scene is usually too complex, with too many excessive or contradictory things that need to be simplified..." (Note 1)

Zhang Aijia picked up the small notebook, read it for a while, and said in surprise: "Mr. Chen is so professional, is he a film student?"

"No, I used to learn Chinese." Sylvia Chang, who is 24 or 25 years old, is shining brightly, and she is Chen Chong's favorite beauty with intellectual temperament. In front of her, Chen Chong felt his heart beating faster and his breathing was not smooth, so he took a step back without any trace and said, "These are just some of my own thoughts."

"Mr. Chen plans to become a director in the future?"

"Yes, who doesn't want to be a director?" Chen Chong took back the notebook, slapped his palms, and said, "Sister Zhang also has the intention of being a director, right?"

"Of course I thought about it. I always wanted to make movies with my own style." Zhang Aijia showed a signature-like curved smile and said, "Why don't Mr. Chen give me a chance."

"If Sister Zhang has a good script, I can consider investing." Chen Chong agreed. Zhang Aijia is talented, actors, directors, and producers can achieve top-notch levels, and is worthy of making friends and training. "You can call me A Chong, there is no need to be so formal in private."

Chen Chong was always taciturn in front of the crew, maintaining the image of a cold-faced cool guy. He was too young and had a nerdy face. He was bullied by kind people. He was worried that if he was too friendly, he would lose control of the crew. Moreover, as the only investor and producer, he did not need to get close to everyone.

So, everyone has been calling Mr. Chen, and he also answered like this.

"Mr. Chen..." Zhang Aijia shook her head when she saw Chen Chong, and quickly changed her words and said, "A Chong, do you really invest in me in making movies?"

"Of course it's true." Chen Chong took out a business card and said, "Sister Zhang can come to me at any time."

Zhang Aijia took the business card and saw it. It was simple, without decorative patterns, no company name, or personal title. It was just a piece of hard white paper with two lines of words printed, one line was the name and the other line was the phone number.

"A Chong, your business card is really simple." Zhang Aijia used her green fingers to tick the business card and said with a smile: "Don't write the company or the title, be careful to take it out and be looked down upon and treat it as an unemployed vagrant."

"Business cards are not ID cards. You have to fill in any information, as long as you can contact someone." Chen Chong said indifferently: "I have only heard that people rely on clothes, but I have never heard of people rely on business cards."

Zhang Aijia was amused by Chen Chong and snickered - she didn't dare to laugh loudly, and was easily received by the recording equipment - her clean and bright smile made Chen Chong feel relaxed and happy.

"By the way, Sister Zhang." After chatting for a few words, Chen Chong remembered something and said, "Can you help me contact some Taiwanese filmmakers?"

"Why, want to invest in filming in Taiwan?"

"I don't have this idea yet, and I will go there in the future." Chen Chong turned the notebook to the back, tore off a piece of paper, wrote a few lines, and handed it to Zhang Aijia, explaining: "I am preparing a movie magazine, which lacks high-quality manuscripts. There is a strong cultural atmosphere in Taiwan. I want Sister Zhang to help contact me to see if anyone is willing to contribute to my magazine. This is the magazine's submission address."

"You still run a magazine?" Zhang Aijia was surprised. She took the note, read it once, took out her wallet, put it in, and then asked with her head on her side: "What's the name of the magazine?"

"The First Movie Review." A group of bad editors didn't know how to name them. In the end, Chen Chong plagiarized the creativity of a later financial magazine and created the name. "It is this month's magazine, and it is still being prepared. It mainly collects some humanistic film review manuscripts."

"First movie review...this name is so weird."

"I also find it strange." Chen Chong smiled and said seriously: "I originally wanted to name the magazine "Shen's Movie Review", but I was afraid that readers would say I was too arrogant, so I changed this name and do the best if I want to do it. I hope to make it the world's number one movie magazine."

Zhang Aijia stared at Chen Chong with his wonderful eyes, but in the end he was unable to confirm whether he was joking or to be honest.

At this moment, the drama club ran over and informed Chang Aijia that she was about to start shooting her shot.

"I will contact you for a look." Sang Aijia pinched the business card, waved her hand, and then trotted away.

Chen Chong looked at her back and felt entangled.

There are two beauties in "Crazy Job" - Zhao Yazhi and Sylvia Chang, both actors Chen Chong likes very much.

In his previous life, Chen Chong dedicated his first spring dream to Bai Snake. Zhao Yazhi can be said to be the true dream lover. At this time, she is only twenty-four or twenty-five years old, which is the brightest time for women. The word used to describe Yin Susu in Jin Yong is "clear and beautiful", which is very tempting to Chen Chong.

However, after the crew had contacted Zhao Yazhi several times, Chen Chong quickly controlled his mind and cut off his ambition to conquer and have her. The reason was very simple - Zhao Yazhi is married and has a child over two years old. (Note 2)

In "Casino Royale of 007", 007 and Vesper have this conversation:

"You won't cause me any trouble, do you? Mr. Bond."

"No, don't worry, you're not the type I like."

“Smart?”

“Single.”

007 He doesn't like single women, and Chen Chong doesn't like having entanglements with married women, especially those with children. First, it's too troublesome, and second, he has a bit of moral cleanliness and hates the behavior of destroying other people's families.

In his previous life, Chen Chong had a crush on a female classmate in junior high school and had been obsessed with it for a long time. More than ten years later, he accidentally heard the news about her, so he drove thousands of miles to find her, and then everything was disillusioned - the innocent little loli back then was replaced by a child of more than 200 pounds, the goddess was gone, and the beautiful memories were gone...

This experience of destroying the three views made Chen Chong feel that the goddess is a fantasy creature, which can be viewed from afar and cannot be played with. It is like a soap bubble in the sun, colorful and mysterious, but if the film is pierced, "bang"! There is nothing left, only emptiness is left.

So Chen Chong deliberately kept a distance from Zhao Yazhi, be careful, for fear that he would be confused by the fantasies of his previous life and the beauty in front of him. After crossing the thunder pool, the goddess with her family could not afford to be injured...

But Chen Chong was very moved by Sylvia Chang.

As the saying goes, the Finance Minister is a cowardly and courageous, a dull and shy otaku magician who wins 5 million will likely make a confession to the goddess, or buy a double-fly service or something... Chen Chong is not a magician, and the prize he won is far from being comparable to 5 million, so he has never planned to live a monogamous life ascetic monk since the beginning of his time travel.

Regardless of whether Zhang Ai Jia's charm and talent, just talking about her family, Chen Chong cares a lot. Her grandfather was once the director of the news agency in Taiwan and the consultant of the national policy of the "Presidential Office", and her mother is a socialite. Her family has a considerable influence in Taiwan. If she can handle her, it will be very beneficial to implement his film plan in Taiwan.

Sylvia Chang is currently unmarried, and from the observations over the past few days, she doesn’t have a boyfriend yet, but if she doesn’t act quickly, she will soon marry the president of the Associated Press Hong Kong Branch. That guy is 16 years older than her...

It's a bit difficult... Chen Chong is not a love saint, nor does he have a charming aura, so he really doesn't know where to start.

Let it go. If it really doesn't work, just be a good friend. If you admire a woman, you may not have to go into bed to achieve success.

Chen Chong comforted himself for a while, then walked over and began to observe Zhong Zhiwen's control over the photography lens.

Hong Kong's current film industry is very weak, and the concept of making movies is still very backward. We only focus on how to tell a story, but not too much about other details.

For example, the script only requires the story to be told well. As for character shaping and concise dialogue, there is no requirement at all.

When shooting, prop production, clothing design, photography lenses, and recording equipment can be saved as much as possible, and do whatever you can to reduce costs and increase shooting speed.

Later online novels and Hong Kong movies are in line with each other. The characters' personalities, environmental descriptions, writing styles, etc. are not required, but only the story is interesting and updated quickly...

Chen Chong is powerless for the time being. The overall movie environment is not good and can't be changed by spending money. For example, "Crazy Joe" was originally mono, and Chen Chong insisted on using two-channel recordings. As for stereo... Not to mention that he couldn't rent it, even if the equipment to record stereo was rented, it would be useless. There is currently no theater in Hong Kong that can screen stereo.

So he only asked Zeng Lizhen to rent the best equipment possible to provide Ann Hui with good shooting conditions.

In 1979, the Hong Kong film industry did not have the so-called "art guidance" concept. The costumes, props, actors' styling designs, the overall color, light and shadow of the movie, etc., all rely on the director to make their decisions based on their feelings.

I can't control anything else, I can control this. I had a meeting in a magazine some time ago. From the editor's chat, Chen Chong got the information about Zhang Shuping - he was once the deputy director of Tang Shuxuan.

Of course, I can't let this great god be found. Chen Chong made a special trip and personally invited him to the crew of "Crazy Job" as an art director.

There was no scene from Zhao Yazhi in today's shooting plan, so Zhang Shuping took her Li's TV station to find a makeup artist to design her style. Li's TV station was in trouble internally and externally, and the work was insufficient, so almost all the employees below took on private jobs.

I don’t know if it was because of the full name of the boss Shen Chong, Supervisor. Today’s shooting was extremely smooth. At around five o’clock, just as it got dark, the crew completed the contents of the photography plan. After Ann Hui announced that she would finish work, everyone packed up their things, greeted Shen Chong, and then scattered.

Chen Chongze and Anh Hsu drove with Zeng Lizhen, and took a thick stack of films to the Hong Kong printing company to print work samples.

Because film shooting cannot be seen immediately like digital, so after the shooting is over, you usually have to go to the printing workshop to rinse on the same day. The main film printed every day is called work samples, which is the main material for future editing. The purpose of rinsing on the same day is to use reference for the director, check the shooting effect, and decide whether it is necessary to reshoot.

For videos like "Crazy Joe", in order to save costs, the photographer will circle out the successful shots after the shooting every day, and only need to flush these shots, and those NG shots will be discarded.

However, sometimes NG shots are very inspiring to the director, and this movie has a special significance to Shen Chong, so he decided to flush out all the shots and spend more than 500,000 more...

Chen Chong followed Anhua Xu to the printing company, one for viewing the sample, and the other for curiosity. The printing workshop is probably the most mysterious place in the hearts of movie lovers.

After everything was done, when Chen Chong returned to his residence, it was already midnight. He felt sore and his legs were weak. It was so hard to play movies, and it was harder than playing online games all night...

On the door of the house, there was a note posted, and Li Kaiyuan wrote a message: There is a package sent from the United States, I will collect it for you and come here to get it tomorrow.

Chen Chong touched his nose and laughed silently - this is good news.
