Chapter 138 Chapter 138(1/2)

Chapter 138

Mo Yi frowned, subconsciously rubbed the phone in his hand with his fingertips, and stared at the screen that had already darkened with thought.

Wen Chen walked to him when he heard this, frowned in confusion and asked:

"What's wrong?"

Mo Yi looked up at him as if awakened, with a deep mark still left between his eyebrows, and he said slowly:

"What's wrong with Jiang Yuanrou."

Wen Chen also frowned slowly. He didn't ask Mo Yi how he knew, but just said lightly:

"Then what are you going to do now?"

Mo Yi put his phone in his pocket, and his lip line tightened into a sharp line: "Let's go, we have to go to Jiang Yuanrou's house."

After saying that, Mo Yi turned around and walked into his study and took a last look at the lit screens. He checked it roughly. After confirming that his algorithm had nothing wrong and was still running, he hurried out.

He grabbed the key from the cabinet near the entrance, changed his shoes and prepared to go out.

Wen Chen reached out and grabbed his wrist: "Wait."

Mo Yi was stunned and turned around and looked at Wen Chen: "What's wrong?"

Wen Chen raised his hand, and his slender fingers ran through his hair. As his fingertips passed, the water vapor on Mo Yi's wet hair was pulled by some invisible force, and then it scattered around like a thin mist. Wen Chen's low voice rang in his ears:

"Your hair is still wet."

When he put down his hand, Mo Yi's hair was completely dry.

Wen Chen's backlit light-colored eyes were glowing with a nearly gray color: "Now it's fine."

After saying that, his fingertips moved gently, and the mist floating in the air gathered in an instant as if it was pulled, and then gathered as if it was tightened, automatically wrapping around Mo Yi's wrist.

Mo Yi raised his eyebrows and watched with interest as the tiny water droplets were surrounded by light white mist, then slowly circled around his wrist and turned into a string of gray-white lines.

He reached out and touched it - the smooth and slightly cool surface gently fitted with the fingertips, and it seemed that there was a physical presence to the touch.

Mo Yi looked at Wen Chen in question: "What is this?"

Wen Chen reached out and gently closed his wrist, pressing his cold fingertips against his protruding wrist bones, his eyes drooped, and there was no expression on his pale face:

"If you are in danger, it will tell me."

Mo Yi slowly frowned, and opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something: "Actually you..."

There is really no need to do this.

But the following words stuck in my throat.

Mo Yi took a deep breath, then lowered his hand, and his sleeves drooped down with his movements, covering the inconspicuous gray-white thin line on his wrist. He solemnly raised his head to look at Wen Chen:

"Thank you."

Wen Chen breathed a sigh of relief, and a little smile appeared on his pale face: "Let's go."

Mo Yi nodded and the two went out one after another.

On the road, Mo Yi was meditating while watching the rapidly changing scenery outside the car window.

He still remembered that when Wen Chen mentioned some of the words about this matter in the dungeon - the full meaning of the previous dungeon was the battle between Jiang Yuanrou and Edwin -

Mo Yi stared at the car window, and the lights flashing outside the window reflected in his dark eyes.

And... Wen Chen also said at the beginning that this game will not easily give up its spoils.

He turned his head and looked at Wen Chen sitting beside him, and asked, "What else do you know about Jiang Yuanbai's current state?"

Wen Chen looked up at him, thought for a few seconds and replied:

"Because such things happen too rarely, to be honest, I can't be sure what Jiang Yuanbai is now in. The only thing I know is that Jiang Yuanrou is not very stable in both physical and psychological aspects now."

Mo Yi frowned slowly: "But, didn't you say that Jiang Yuanbai is not in danger of his life?"

Wen Chen nodded: "Yes, he is not in danger of life, but..."

He paused slightly during his words, his face paled for a moment, Wen Chen's expression remained unchanged, and he continued as if nothing had happened:

"But the physical level I'm talking about is not about his physiology-"

Mo Yi keenly noticed Wen Chen's strangeness and reached out to hold the back of his cold hand: "Hey."

Wen Chen couldn't help but pause and looked up at Mo Yi.

I saw that he looked unhappy, his dark eyes stared at him tightly and said in a low voice:

"Did you forget what you promised me?"

Wen Chen seemed stunned, and seemed to finally react. He frowned: "Is this countable?"

Mo Yi nodded slowly:

"Yes, after all, I don't know that information will hurt you when I ask a question, so you'd better tell me in advance that the answer will make you punished by the game mechanism."

He stared at Wen Chen and said slowly word by word, his voice low and cold:

"Then let me choose whether to listen or not."

Mo Yi's eyes were calm and simply hinted at Wen Chen about a cruel fact-

He would not choose to avoid all issues that might hurt him because Wen Chen would be punished. He just needs a bargaining chip to weigh the importance of it, which one is worth it and which one is not worth it.

Wen Chen stared at him, his lips curled up, softening the deep facial lines: "Okay."

Mo Yi was stunned, frowned in confusion, and continued in disbelief:

"So, you know what I mean..."

Wen Chen nodded: "Yes."

He leaned slowly towards him, his light-colored eyes staring at Mo Yi's face intently, and said:

"You always try your best to push anyone out and not allow anyone to get close."

Mo Yi frowned. Before he could say anything, Wen Chen continued to say:

"You may not have noticed it yourself - you always seize every opportunity, tell me directly or indirectly how ruthless you are, and use all means to tell me that I don't have to do this."

Wen Chen grabbed Mo Yi's palm gently on the back of his hand and said seriously:

"If you really don't care at all like you said...I-you don't need to say the above, but just ask all the questions you want to ask to drain all my value, but you tell me over and over again how ruthless you are and how irresponsible you are, and how much you don't care about it. I hope I see through your appearance and leave myself."

He bowed his head and gave a kiss on the back of his hand devoutly:

"I just want to tell you that this is useless to me."

The cold lips touched the warm back of the hand, but the temperature brought by Mo Yi was burned hard, subconsciously shrank out, but it was tighter.

Wen Chen looked up and stared at him intently:

“—I really don’t have to, but I want to do that.”

Mo Yi took a deep breath, slowly raised a sneer, and said harshly:

"... Maybe I did this just to guide you to think so that you can go through fire and water for me."

Wen Chen's face slowly showed a little smile, and the light-colored eyes seemed to be filled with solemnity throughout the world:

"I can't find it."

At this moment, the car stopped, the driver turned around and looked at them, saying, "Forty-nine-two."

Mo Yi then remembered that he and Wen Chen were still in the taxi. When he recalled the conversation between the two, his ears could not help but slowly rose to a certain level of heat.

He lowered his head in a concealment and coughed, then hurriedly took out a whole piece of money from his pocket and stuffed it to the driver, saying:

"……Keep the change, please."

Then he opened the car door and jumped down like he ran away.

Wen Chen also walked out of the car.

In fact, as soon as he got on the car, he blocked a thin film between the front and back seats to prevent their conversation from being heard by the driver. Otherwise, when they talked about key topics, they would definitely be blocked directly by the game - Mo Yi would not have discovered it if he had not been confused in his heart.

But - I'm shy... it's really cute.

Wen Chen calmed down the smile on his face that was too obvious, then walked to Mo Yi with a calm expression and whispered:

"let's go."

Mo Yi nodded and then walked inward.

The area where Jiang Yuanrou's villa is located is a very famous wealthy area in the city, with very tight security. If the owner who did not live in it, there would be no possibility of getting in.

Mo Yi stood in front of the carved steel gate and hesitated for a few seconds. While he was hesitating whether to press the doorbell, he heard a soft female voice coming from the small black screen next to the gate:

"Face recognition has been consistent, welcome to enter."

Mo Yi was stunned and saw the door in front of him slowly open. He and Wen Chen looked at each other silently, then walked inward one after another.

If he had not confirmed 100% of the incident in Jiang Yuanrou before, the current situation once again confirmed his guess.

Because only the owner can add a new face to the facial recognition of the door, then Jiang Yuanrou’s previous strangeness will never be aimless, but a real hint.
To be continued...
