161 A Tragedy

The sky at night is floating in dark clouds, and thin moonlight is shrouded in, soaking the forest with a layer of dark silver.

The burning branches crackled in the bonfire, and a burnt smell gradually spread around the clearings in the forest.

The unique taste made several sheepish men sitting around the bonfire and a group of orcs stare at the meat that was rotating above the bonfire, looking greedy.

"You need some spices."

“We don’t like spices.”

"I think I can add some."

...

They talked about the food that had been baked, and they didn't care about the grief-angry look of a group of elves tied tightly at the roots of the tree behind not far away.

"I strangled it to death, I have to take my first bite."

A she-cannibal wearing a fat chain mail muttered, and the kitchen utensil knife in his hand cut off a piece of food and swallowed it into his mouth.

The two elves among the captives who looked at the chewing look were filled with bloodshot eyes. However, their mouths were bound by cloth strips and could not speak, so they could only make waves, with subtle sounds that were not even as loud as the sound of insects circulating around them.

"But we agreed that whoever kills the most will eat first!"

The other sheepman was very dissatisfied with this, so he also began to hold the knife and go forward to fight.

The orcs surrounded by them could only laugh at this. The stepmother gathered together as they watched the barbecue drop rapidly.

The sheep is a race created by Morgoth using mixed soil witchcraft. It attaches evil spirits controlled by darkness behind them, and its nature makes them cruel and violent.

Coupled with their powerful bodies, they are simply barbaric giant beasts, which are naturally higher than the orcs in the Angban. In other words, the large number of orcs actually belong to the "poor class" in the Angban.

"I can only eat leftovers every time." Looking at the big guy who was fighting with each other, a thin orc with black skin muttered in a low voice.

"It's better than having nothing to eat."

The other half-orc next to him answered dryly, but the next moment it immediately widened its eyes.

I saw a huge sheepish man in front of the bonfire that was tilting his head to swallow the bones of his hind legs in his hand. His fat head slowly fell off his neck!

The shemale had no sense of pain, so it was still uncomfortable with it. Her eyes blinked blankly, staring at the barbecue and her mouth farther and farther away, and pouted hard to get up and continue eating, but the distance became farther and farther.

The next moment, it became dark before its eyes and its thinking was completely in darkness.

The shemale whose head was cut off became hazy and blurred to the outside senses, but other similar people around the bonfire were not so dull.

So when they saw blood splattering from their companions' necks, they lost their heads inexplicably, grabbed the weapons beside them and stood up angrily.

"Who is it? Come out, Og sees you!"

"I'm going to pull your head off! You damn stinky mouse!"

...

The noisy sound immediately made some vultures that were originally surrounded by branches flapping their wings and staying away in a panic. However, although the sheep cannibals were very powerful, they had no effect on the attackers in the secret.

So in the dim light of the forest, one tall and strong she-cannibal after another was cut off his head one after another. The hidden sharp blade seemed to be the sharpest weapon in the world, ignoring the tough body made by Morgoth using witchcraft and soil, and without any obstacles every time he made a move.

The five sheepish corpses were eventually cut off their heads without exception, and black blood gushed from the smooth mirror-like neck of the headless corpses, gradually converging into a bourbon.

However, they have no pain at all, and their vitality is also very strong. The largest one can even curse after the head and body are separated, but this is the maximum that these monsters can do.

The prisoners not far away watched all this with pleasure, while the orcs who could not wait to eat fled in a hurry.

The rapid footsteps gradually drifted away in the woods at night, and in the end there was no other place except those sloppy elves captives.

A tall figure was thus revealed in front of the bonfire.

The figure was covered with a black cloak. After appearing, he kicked open a lip on his feet, which slowly wriggled his ugly head.

After looking down at the bonfire, he raised his hand and waved it. The roasted meat on the fire immediately turned into a thick sand and covered the flames. Even the already bright environment around him immediately became much dimmer.

Then he looked at the elves not far away.

No movement was seen, but the tight bonds on the captives were stripped off one after another. The faint cold feeling made them subconsciously shudder, a little scared, but more grateful.

"You are His Majesty Canel of Linton?"

More than a dozen prisoners walked forward together, and a female elf with dirty face and messy hair spoke carefully.

With such magical means, the most profound thing in my memory was Linton's powerful elf king, so although this place is still far from Linton, she still subconsciously made this guess.

"From this road, there are basically no signs of enemies except those fleeing orcs. I suggest you take refuge in Osirion, or go to some further places."

Retracted a short arc knife in his hand into the leather sheath covered by the cloak at his waist, and Charles opened his mouth.

I often encounter similar situations on the way, so that he stopped and stopped on his journey north and saw a lot of blood.

"We were planning to take refuge in Linton, but we were accidentally targeted... Thank you for your help, and if you need it, we are very happy to serve you."

"I just hope you can take good care of yourself in the next step, and there is no appeal other than that."

Charles smiled at the other party, and looked at two of the more than ten prisoners.

It was a couple, and they were hugging each other at this time. The female elf in a long skirt cried silently, while the man hugged his wife, looking at the heads of several sheepish men by the bonfire.

At this moment, they were very desperate. Thinking about what they had seen before, Charles sighed secretly.

Without saying anything, he looked sideways with the emotion in his heart, and saw the originally dim bonfire suddenly swelling and rising. As the prisoners exclaimed, they eventually turned into a short elf figure!

The figure made of flames was first hazy, with only bright light blooming around, but as it stepped forward, a childish face appeared on its bright red cheeks.

"Feral!?" The couple was both surprised and happy when they saw this.

"Father? Mother?" The flames rippled, and a deep sound came as if it was coming from the abyss.

"Me, what's wrong with me?"

"You... kid, we're sorry for you, we..."

The crying reappeared, but the sound became smaller and smaller.

Taking advantage of the time when these elves' attention was diverted, Charles had quietly left the place.

When he appeared again, he was already in another direction of the forest, straddling a gray-white horse and turning his head to look at his previous location.

The hazy fire light came faintly, and the figures of those elves seemed to be seen around them. They were delighted because of this, but when the flame burned out, the soul would only go to where it should go without any stop.

This is a tragedy, but it is only one of the many miserable things in Middle-earth at this time. It is inconspicuous, and there will be no other existence except the parties involved to know about it.

After looking in that direction for a few silent glances, Charles shook his head, then clamped his body and drove to the north again.

The sun rises and sunsets, forests and wilderness.

As he continued to move forward, gradually, three towering volcanoes that quietly gushed into the sky, which were emitting black smoke from long pillars, came into view.
