Chapter 13 Firecrackers

Conflicts between children resolve quickly, not to mention that He Shangchao didn't really want to break up with Yang Zhenxing, he was just teasing with him.

After the two children ate some peanuts roasted on the stove in the house, they started laughing again.

"Lamb chops, have you finished your winter vacation homework?" He Shangchao asked casually while eating peanuts.

Since the tuition and fees for the first year have already been paid, Yang Zhenxing has a copy of his winter vacation homework, such as homework notebooks such as Dayancao Notepad.

Yang Zhenxing usually writes the homework he gets from He Shangchao and others in his homework book, but there is no teacher to correct it.

"I just sent it out and finished it within a week, what happened?"

"Lend me to study. My grandpa asked me to study with you more often."

Yang Zhenxing looked at his friend very speechlessly, especially since he was still eating peanuts like a normal person, "Now you remember to study with me? You don't want to copy my homework directly?"

He Shangchao was not annoyed after being seen through, and continued to laugh and say: "I said it's study, you can't be so stingy, right? Stop hiding it, take it out quickly!"

"Okay, I'll give it to you later, but be sure not to let your family know about it. Also, don't eat it, can you leave some for me! Come in and say how much you've eaten!"

Taking the borrowed winter vacation homework, He Shangchao filled his pockets with peanuts and went home singing, leaving Yang Zhenxing alone at home looking at a dustpan of peanut shells with heartache.

"If I had known I wouldn't give it to this kid, I would only eat peanuts and take them out, and I wouldn't even have to eat the rest!"

I felt sorry for Peanut, but I didn't know that after lunch, He Shangchao came again, this time with Li Guoqing.

Thinking that the two boys had teamed up to continue fighting against the autumn wind, Yang Zhenxing was so frightened that he hurried back to the house to pack up the few remaining peanuts and hide them.

Seeing that he was a step late, He Shangchao could only lick his lips regretfully.

"I told you that you're so pushy! Do I only care about your peanuts? Who do you think I am? I've brought you something good."

After saying that, he opened the cloth bag behind him and took out a long thing from it.

"firecracker!"

Yang Zhenxing's eyes lit up and he immediately gathered around, "San'er, you're still the boss! I didn't give you so many peanuts for free this morning!"

"Of course! I won't go out and ask around. The whole four are my favorites! These are the firecrackers my dad bought. I just brought them back at noon. I brought them to you right after dinner. How about it?"

"

"This!" Yang Zhenxing gave him a thumbs up, "It's true!"

Seeing that Yang Zhenxing was not on the right track, He Shangchao, who was still worried about the peanuts, was scratching his head and was too embarrassed to speak directly.

Li Guoqing, who had been silent for the whole time, couldn't stand it anymore.

"It's been three days, are you still short of some peanuts? How are we going to play with these firecrackers?"

It turned out that Yang Zhenxing had only seen other children playing, but had never played before himself, so he also looked at He Shangchao, waiting for him to make up his mind.

"Well, last year we blew up the hut at the entrance of the alley, and we got caught. We definitely can't go there again this year. How about we blow up the pigeons at Uncle Wang's house?"

Yang Zhenxing and Li Guoqing didn't want to be beaten, so they finally decided to build snowmen and blow up snowmen in the yard.

These days, a pack of firecrackers comes with a hundred heads, that is, there are a hundred small firecrackers strung up on it. The bigger the firecrackers are, the more expensive they are, ranging from 15 cents to 2 cents to 25 cents.

Although the normal way is to just light a bunch of them and let them explode.

But the children were reluctant to set off the firecrackers all at once, so they would dismantle the firecrackers one by one and play with them slowly.

The one that He Shangchao's father bought for him was the smallest one, priced at 15 cents per pack.

But you have to know that 15 cents is not a small number in this day and age. The hairtail brought back by his grandfather Yang Xingsheng a while ago, Yang Zhenxing heard, weighed 161 pounds.

You can buy a pound of hairtail for a pack of firecrackers. Instead of opening them one by one and playing with them slowly, you can play with them for a few days and just light them all at once and listen to the sound. It is really a waste.

After dismantling a lot, the children couldn't bear to dismantle them all, so they put the unfinished ones aside and started playing in the yard.

Yang Zhenxing took out a stick of incense that his grandfather bought from home, divided it into pieces for each person, took out a piece of briquettes from the stove and lit it. He couldn't wait to grab a firecracker, lit it and threw it out.

The two silly dogs Pomegranate and Begonia thought they were throwing things with them at first, so they were so silly that they wanted to chase the firecrackers and bring them back.

Fortunately, Yang Zhenxing knew his silly dogs and had quick eyesight and quick hands to catch them, which prevented the tragedy from happening.

After the "snap" sound, Pomegranate and Begonia, which they had seen for the first time, were immediately frightened and ran away to hide.

Seeing his silly appearance, the children burst into laughter.

The snowman built some time ago in the yard had not yet melted, so it immediately became their target.

The firecrackers were filled from beginning to end. After several rounds of explosions, no snowman could be seen. The snow exploded everywhere, but they did not feel scary at all. Instead, they enjoyed it and wanted to build a new one.

Continue to explode.

However, Yang Xingsheng's sudden return stopped them from continuing to toss.

"What are you guys doing?"

Several children looked at the stern-faced Yang Xingsheng, standing neatly with their heads lowered and not daring to speak.

"Look at how messy the yard is! It doesn't matter if you play, I'll clean it up after you're done!"

"Okay Grandpa!" "Yes, Grandpa Yang!"

When they saw Yang Xingsheng return to the house, they gasped for air. They immediately brought brooms with Yang Zhenxing and began to clean up the messy yard.

"Lamb chops, your grandpa is really scary!" After looking at the movement in the room, He Shangchao quietly ran to Yang Zhenxing and muttered in a low voice.

Li Guoqing on the side also nodded desperately, fully agreeing with his point of view.

"What's so scary? My grandfather doesn't eat people. Don't you feel scared if your parents are angry?"

Yang Zhenxing curled his lips, wondering why his two friends always felt scary after seeing his grandfather for the first time.

It's no wonder that He Shangchao and the others were afraid, because Yang Xingsheng didn't have many smiles after going through too many things.

During the turmoil, someone smashed the eyebrow of his left eye, and it became slanted, making one eye bigger and the other smaller. When children see it, they will inevitably think of monsters or bad guys in some stories.

After all, monsters and bad guys are always inconspicuous in those books or scary words told by parents.

"Your grandpa's eyes are one big and one small, and he doesn't smile all the time. Isn't it scary? The kids in the alley call your grandpa "Squint Yang" behind his back."

"Who said that! Tell me and I'll go out and beat them up!" Yang Zhenxing immediately became anxious.

"Shh! Keep your voice down!" He Shangchao turned around and looked into the room. When he found that there was no movement, he patted his chest and took a breath.

"Why are you so anxious! The kids outside are shouting that behind my back, can you beat me? Besides, they didn't just give your grandpa a nickname. Is there anyone in the alley who doesn't have a nickname?"

"Don't let me hear those people talking nonsense in the future! Otherwise I will teach them a lesson!"
