Five hundred and one real Umbrella

In a newly completed inpatient building in Gusu First Hospital.

The building has been divided into Ruikang for clinical trials of organ transplantation, and a clinical center has also been established, which has drawn nearly 40 surgeons with rich experience in organ transplant surgery from the country, as well as their team, to participate in the trial.

In other words, China's medical system is public and easier to mobilize. Otherwise, it would not be so easy to gather a group of experienced organ transplant doctors in Europe and the United States.

The entire health system attached great importance to Ruikang's clinical trials. Not only did it give a green light, but it also specially selected many experts from major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. On the grounds of participating in scientific research cooperation, they all gathered at the First Hospital of Gusu City to help with clinical practice.

It’s not OK to not draw!

The second phase clinical plan is to recruit 100 volunteers, but in fact, when the plan was announced, the patient group was too enthusiastic. In less than four hours, thousands of applications were received. The number of volunteers applying to participate in the clinical trial on the first day exceeded 10,000.

Seeing this, Chen Changan had to relax the quota a little and increase the number of volunteers recruited in the second phase from 100 to 300.

However, this clinical trial is not a small trial, and every subject needs to undergo an organ transplant.

In China, there are no more than 2,000 doctors who can perform organ transplant surgery in total.

Among them, the real technology can be considered excellent, and there are probably only about 500.

In order to speed up the trial progress, the ideal solution for this clinical trial is naturally to divide 300 volunteers into three batches to conduct the trial together.

In this way, it only takes a little over a year to complete the second phase of the experiment.

But doing this means that Ruikang has to perform an organ transplant on 100 volunteers at the same time every time.

Although it is not arranged within the same day, at least one month, 100 surgeries must be completed.

The doctors who can take the lead in organ transplant surgery in the first hospital of Gusu City, and even all the Grade A hospitals in Gusu City, are too busy.

ICU is not enough either.

This is why the government came forward to transfer 40 teams with rich experience in organ transplant surgery for Ruikang from the country, as well as 30 sets of intensive care equipment, and at the same time temporarily requisitioned a whole new building in the First Hospital of Gusu City, so that such a clinical center was created.

I have to say that China's system is really good. Once you need to unite and overcome something, you can immediately form a capable team.

In just one month, Gusu City First Hospital organized a clinical trial center with 30 intensive care beds, 150 special care beds, and 5 operating rooms.

In addition, 25 intensive care teams and 36 organ transplant teams have been drawn from all over the country!

This temporary clinical center can perform 15 organ transplants in a day without interruption, and will also provide intensive care for 30 postoperative patients and accommodate 150 volunteers!

On the day the clinical center was established, the first batch of 100 selected volunteers moved into the building accompanied by their families.

The 100 beds were lying all over the country and suffering from different degrees of organ functional diseases.

Under the careful care of the nurses, each patient was extracted from different numbers of somatic cells, marked them, and placed them in a pluripotent stem cell culture warehouse that was already ready.

The pluripotent stem cell culture bin is part of the organ regeneration equipment, and can also perform batch cultivation of pluripotent stem cells for up to 12 patients at the same time.

In order to meet the first batch of subjects, Ruikang directly brought ten sets of organ regeneration equipment from the factory, occupying a whole floor of 1,000 square meters of the clinical center, which can cultivate organs for 100 patients at the same time.

At this time, in the cultivation layer, a hundred cultivation silos filled with light yellow culture medium were standing quietly together. At this time, pluripotent stem cells have not been placed in the cultivation silos, but they are in a ready state.

Next to the cultivation warehouse are ten control systems, and next to the control system are ten rectangular cabinets that look like artificial beehives.

Each cabinet is divided into 12 small grids like a honeycomb. In these grids, somatic cells are inducing into pluripotent stem cells and multiplying in batches.

In each small grid, there is a cluster of cells growing.

A bunch of Ruikang researchers always observe and monitor the cultivation of pluripotent stem cells, and from time to time record data in the folders on their hands, tracking the situation in real time to ensure that the cultivation of pluripotent stem cells goes smoothly.

Standing on the platform and watching everyone busy, Chen Changan tilted his head and said to Guan Kou: "Do you feel that this scene is like the umbrella company in a science fiction movie? We are like scientists who cultivate T viruses and conduct evil biochemical experiments?"

Not to mention, if you soak some human bodies or organs in those 100 cultivation warehouses, this scene is really exactly like the lair of the Umbrella company that the protagonist entered in "Resident Evil 1".

Guan Kou covered his mouth and laughed, teasing, "No, there is an artificial intelligence control and surveillance building called Honghou in the nest of Umbrella. Our organ regeneration project is also monitored and controlled by artificial intelligence Nuwa."

"But the only difference is that Umbrella created a biochemical virus, which triggered the Resident Evil."

"And our Ruikang project is a project that benefits all mankind, and we will not create any lickers."

Chen Changan raised his eyebrows and said without comment: "This is not necessarily the case. Although there is no T-virus in reality, your boss will still consider trying to develop some intensive agents in the future."

"Isn't the original intention of the Umbrella company in the movie to develop a drug that can improve human physical fitness? It's just that something unexpected happened, which gave birth to a biochemical virus."

Chen Changan blinked mischievously and said with a smile: "Who knows if I will do such a thing in the future?"

"Mr. Chen, are you kidding..." Guan Kou grew up and looked at Chen Changan in surprise.

In this special scene, Chen Changan said this to her with such an expression, which really made her feel creepy...

"Haha, just a joke."

Chen Changan waved his hand and laughed happily. He just said it casually. In this situation, he felt that he was too much like the evil villain who secretly engaged in secret scientific experiments in science fiction movies.

Artificial intelligence, cultivation warehouses, cells, cloning organs, genetic drugs, and a group of private company researchers in white coats. These keywords add up so easily that people think about it.
