Chapter 10 Normality

"who?"

Klein was thinking about the mysterious suicide of the original owner and the unknown dangers he might encounter. After hearing the sudden knock on the door, he subconsciously opened the drawer, took out the revolver, and asked with vigilance.

The door was quiet for two seconds, and a slightly sharp voice shouted in an Ahova accent:

"I, Mountbatten, Beach Mountbatten."

The voice paused and added:

"police."

Beach Mountbatten… As the name drilled into his ears, Klein immediately thought of its corresponding owner.

That was one of the policemen in charge of the neighborhood where the apartment was located, a rude, savage, and man who loved to do things. However, perhaps only such people could shake the drunkards, thieves, part-time thieves, villains, and hooligans.

And his unique voice is one of his tags.

"Okay, I'll come right now!" Klein replied loudly.

He originally planned to throw the revolver back into the drawer, but thought that the police outside came for some reason and might have searched, so he ran to the stove where Yuhuo had already been extinguished and put the pistol in.

Immediately afterwards, he picked up the small basket of coal, shook a few pieces into the stove, covered the gun, and finally placed the kettle on the top to cover everything.

After doing all this, he sorted out his clothes, quickly approached the door, and said vaguely as he opened it:

"Sorry, I just took a nap."

Four policemen in black and white uniforms, badges and soft hats, and Beachy, with brown beards and beards, coughed and said to Klein:

"These three police officers have something to ask you."

Police Officer Klein looked at the other three people's epaulettes like a conditioned reflex and found that two had three silver hexagonal stars and one had two, both of which looked higher than the Beach. Mountbatten, who had only three V-shaped labels.

As a history student, Klein has no research on the police epaulette level, only knows that Beach Mountbatten often shows off himself as a senior sheriff.

So, those three are inspector level? Influenced by the conversations of classmates such as elder brother Benson and Welch, Klein still knew some common sense. He moved out of his body and pointed inside the room and said:

"Please come in. I don't know what's going on?"

The leader of the three police officers was a middle-aged man with sharp eyes that seemed to see through his heart and was frightened. He had obvious wrinkles at the corners of his eyes and a shallow brown hair on the edge of his hat. He looked at the room by himself and asked in a deep voice:

"Do you know Welch McGovern?"

"What's wrong with him?" Klein's heart trembled and he blurted out.

"I'm asking you." The majestic middle-aged police officer's eyes were stern.

The police officer next to him, who also wore a three-star ejection, looked at Klein and smiled gently:

"Don't be nervous, we're just asking for it on a regular basis."

The police officer was about thirty years old, with a straight nose and grey eyes giving people an indescribable sense of depth, just like a lake in an ancient forest that was uninvited.

Klein breathed secretly and organized his words:

"If you refer to Hoy University graduates, Welch McGwen from Conston, then I'm sure I know that we are classmates, following the same mentor, Quentin Cohen's senior associate professor."

In the Kingdom of Ruhn, "professors" are not just professional titles, but also positions. Just like the combination of professors and department chairs on Earth, it means that there can only be one professor in a university and a department. If an associate professor wants to become a "professional", he can only wait for his boss to retire or use his strength to squeeze the other party away.

In view of the need to retain talents, after years of exploration, the Wangguo Higher Education Commission has joined senior associate professors in the three-level system of lecturers, associate professors and professors, and has given gentlemen and ladies who are of high academic level or seniority but cannot become professors.

Speaking of this, Klein looked at the middle-aged police officer's eyes and thought for a second:

"To be honest, our relationship is pretty good. During this period, I and Naya and I often meet to interpret and discuss the 'Quarter' documents he received, a note, a police officer, what happened to him?"

The middle-aged police officer did not answer, but turned his head to look at his gray-eyed companion.

The gray-eyed police officer wearing a badge and soft hat and ordinary facial features replied gently:

"Sorry, Mr. Welch passed away."

"How could it be?" Despite some premonition, Klein couldn't help but speak out in shock.

Welch died like the original owner of his body?

This is a bit scary!

"Where is Naya?" Klein asked in a hurry.

"Ms. Naya has passed away," said the gray-eyed officer, quite calmly. "They both died in Mr. Welch's residence."

"Killed?" Klein vaguely made a guess.

Maybe it was suicide...

The gray-eyed officer shook his head:

"No, from the traces on the scene, they committed suicide. Mr. Welch hit the wall with his head and hit a lot, and the wall was covered with blood. Ms. Naya drowned herself in a basin of water, well, the kind used to wash her face."

"This is impossible..." Klein felt his hair standing tall, as if he could imagine the strange scene.

The girl knelt on the chair and buried her face in a washbasin filled with water. Her brown hair was softly draped down, shaking in the wind, but she didn't move; Welch fell to the ground, staring at the ceiling with her eyes tightly on the ceiling, her forehead was completely shattered, covered with blood, and the marks of being hit on the wall were dripping blood...

The gray-eyed police officer moved his mouth and said:

"We also think so, but the autopsy results and on-site situations rule out factors such as drugs and external forces. They, I mean, Mr. Welch and Ms. Naya have no signs of resistance."

Before Klein could speak again, he walked into the room and asked casually:

"When was the last time you met Mr. Welch or Ms. Naya?"

He said as he gestured to his companion with two silver stars.

It was a young police officer who looked about the same size as Klein, with dark hair and green eyes, good looks, and a poetic temperament.

Hearing the question, Klein changed his mind and replied:

"It should be June 26th. We shared a new note content. After that, I went home to prepare for the interview on the 30th, well, the interview at the History Department of Tingen University."

Tingen City is known as the city of universities, with two universities, Tingen and Hoy, technical schools, barrister colleges and business schools, second only to the capital Beckland.

As soon as he finished speaking, he saw the young police officer walking to the desk and picking up the "notes" that looked more like a diary.

Oops! Forgot to hide it! Klein shouted shortly, "You!"

The young police officer smiled at him, but did not stop looking through the notes, while the gray-eyed police officer explained:

“This is a necessary procedure.”

At this time, Beach Mountbatten and the majestic middle-aged police officer were just watching from the side, without interrupting or assisting in the search.

Where is your search warrant? Klein originally planned to question this, but after thinking about it carefully, it seems that the judicial system of the Ruan Kingdom has not yet evolved into a search warrant. At least he doesn't know if it has it. After all, even the police force has only been established for fifteen or sixteen years.

When the original owner was a child, he was also called the Sheriff.

Klein could not stop him and watched the young officer quickly read "his own notes", while the gray-eyed officer did not ask any questions.

"What strange thing?" the young police officer turned to the end and suddenly spoke, "Also, what does this sentence mean? 'Everyone will die, including me'..."

Isn’t it common sense that everyone will die except for the gods? Klein was originally going to make a quibble, but suddenly he thought that he had originally planned to "connect" with the police to prevent the dangers he might encounter, but he was suffering from no reason and no excuses.

In less than a second, he made a decision, covered his forehead with his hands and replied in pain:

"I don't know, I really don't know... After I woke up this morning, I felt something was wrong. I seemed to have forgotten something, especially the part that happened in the last few days. I don't even know why I wrote such a sentence."

Sometimes, frankness is the best way to solve problems. Of course, frankness must be used to talk about skills. What can be said and what cannot be said on one hand, and what should be said first and what should be said later on how to talk about it.

As a "keyboard" expert, Klein has also studied some language.

"Absurd! Do you think we are fools?" Beach Mountbatten interrupted angrily, and he couldn't help it.

This lie is too clumsy and is simply insulting the IQ of myself and others!

It’s better for you to pretend to be mentally ill than for being amnesia!

"Really." Klein responded calmly to Mountbatten and the middle-aged police officer's gaze.

This is really no longer true.

"Maybe it's really possible." At this time, the gray-eyed police officer spoke slowly.

What? You believe it? Klein himself was surprised.

The gray-eyed police officer looked at him with a smile:

"A specialist will come in two days, believe me, she should help you recall lost memories."

Experts? Help me remember? Klein frowned.

Hiss, what if this makes out the memory of my earth? He suddenly felt a toothache.

The young police officer put down his notes and searched the desk and room again. Fortunately, he focused on the books and did not lift the kettle to take a look.

"Okay, Mr. Klein, thank you for your cooperation. In the past few days, it is best for you not to leave Tingen. If you have to, please inform Officer Mountbatten, otherwise you will become a fugitive." Officer Grey-eyed finally reminded.

This is over? Today is over? Don’t ask more questions, investigate and investigate again? Or catch me back to the police station and be punished? Klein was confused.

However, he also wanted to solve the strange incident caused by Welch, so he nodded:

"no problem."

The officers exited the room one by one, and the young man walking at the end suddenly patted Klein on the shoulder:

“It’s so good, very lucky.”

"What?" Klein looked confused.

The green-eyed police officer with poetic temperament smiled and said:

"Generally speaking, it is normal for all the parties involved to die in such an incident."

“We are very happy and lucky to see you still alive.”

After saying that, he walked out of the room and closed the door casually with a very ingenious manner.

Is it normal to die all? I'm glad I'm still alive? I'm lucky I'm still alive?

On this June afternoon, Klein felt cold all over his body.
