Chapter seven hundred and eighteenth clean or not

To go to Tiaoguo, you have to go south from Nanping City. If you go by land, you have to cross mountains and ridges. If you go by water, you have to take more than 30 days. If you go by land, you have to travel day and night. If you keep the team still in combat power, you can't hurry up. If it's okay for three or five days, the urgent marching for more than 20 days will cause the team to collapse, even the Daning warriors will not do it.

The cold choice is to take the water path, and the most important thing is to take the water path through the Saints City.

Saints City is not an isolated island, it is still hundreds of miles away from the coast where I stood. Saints City is named after Chengsheng Temple, and the origin of this city has a great origin with Peacock King Temple.

Many, many years ago, a female nun from the Western Regions ran away because she was dissatisfied with the Great Leiming Temple and went far away to ask for the preaching of scriptures. She was eventually known as the Peacock King King. She spent her whole life building the Peacock King King Temple. Not only was she seeking to set up, but dozens of countries around her were extremely respected by the Peacock King King Temple. By the time two hundred years ago, she had been called one of the three holy places of Zen.

It is rumored that the Peacock King was originally a woman from the Central Plains and believed in Zen Buddhism. When she was young, she wanted to worship at Daleiming Temple. However, after going through a lot of hardships, she realized that this Zen holy land was not what she imagined. Zen ancestor said that all things were equal, but where did women have a status in the Western Regions? In the Western Regions, a man who had an affair only punished a sheep, but the woman would be executed.

A woman has no right to study or engage in any profession, so she is surprised and frightened. Why is she so unequal in the birthplace of Zen Buddhism? Her respect for women is even far inferior to that of the Central Plains.

So she asked for an answer with questions, but when she arrived outside Daleming Temple, she found that she could not enter at all because Daleming Temple had rules and did not receive women.

She stood outside the Great Leiming Temple and asked loudly: "Even if my Central Plains Zen Buddhism is still allowed to practice Zen, why is the holy land not allowed?"

No one paid attention to her, so she kept asking.

Over time, the young monk who swept the floor outside the Daleiming Temple advised her to leave. The young monk said, "Many, many years ago, there was a woman who also wanted to practice Zen and enter the teachings, but Zen ancestors did not allow her. She also asked why she did not allow her. Zen ancestor said that women have five turbidities and eight evils, which are born with impurity, so they should not practice Zen directly. You should first cultivate blessings, and then you can practice Zen for men in the next life. Later, she knelt in front of Zen ancestors and prayed. Zen ancestors thought of her sincerity, so they made an exception to allow her to enter the Dharma. But they set a few rules. If you can do it, I will ask for presidency for you."

She asked what the rules were, and the young monk replied: "The Zen ancestor said that even a hundred-year-old nun had to stand up to greet the young monk who had seen the new precepts. The nun should not say that the male monk is wrong, but the male monk can say that the female nun is wrong, and the nun should not be in the same temple with the monk..."

Before the little monk could finish his words, she turned around and left: "This is not the Zen Buddhism in my heart."

She left Daleming Temple and did not intend to return to the Central Plains. Instead, she traveled in the Western Regions and preached what she believed in Zen. The first thing she said was equality. Women and men were the same. They should be born with the qualifications to become Zen disciples. However, her remarks were rejected by the locals and were even almost besieged to death once. However, there were believers following her. After she gave up completely in the Western Regions, she took eighteen believers who followed her across the ocean to Qiuli. At that time, Qiuli had not yet established a country. This place was still a half-wild place.

Later, a monk from the Western Regions found her. They sat against each other for two days and two nights. The monk turned out to be from Daleiming Temple. After hearing about her, he came here specially to convince her to let her know that her words and deeds were wrong. However, after two days and two nights of debate, he admired her very much, but was not convinced. So he did not return to the Western Regions, but began to preach in another place. At that time, because of these two people, Zen believers were divided into two camps. While supporting the Peacock King Temple, he supported him and called him a holy monk. However, he said that if a monk became a saint, he could only be the Zen ancestor, so he called himself a saint. The place where he taught was built a holy temple, and then a city, that is, the Saint City, gradually formed.

After passing Saints City, you can go to the sea for a hundred miles. Chen Leng chose to take this route to visit Saints City. He just wanted to know whether the eminent monk who presided over Chengsheng Temple in Saints City is the old emperor of the Rilang Kingdom.

Outside the Saints City, Chen Leng ordered five thousand warriors to be camped. He only brought a dozen personal soldiers to the city gate. Behind the Saints City, believers spontaneously came to guard the city inside and outside the Saints City. Because of the special nature of the Saints City, even if they were so cruel to establish an emperor, there were no defenders in the city. Later, they wanted to establish a country and destroyed it. A group of about seven or eight thousand defeated soldiers fled to Saints City. The soldiers of the Daning war came after them. The presiding words came from Chengsheng Temple, so the believers opened the city gate and let the defeated soldiers enter the city.

Since then, tens of thousands of believers have been stationed in the Saints City.

Chen Leng Zongdo, wearing iron armor, arrived outside the city gate, and everyone inside and outside the city became nervous. Although only a dozen people came to Ning Jun, they were as if they were facing a great enemy.

The city gate was immediately closed, and all the believers on the wall and the bows and arrows in the hands of the soldiers Qiuli were aimed at each other, but they didn't dare to shoot easily.

Chen Leng lowered the dog outside the city gate, looked around, waved his hand and ordered someone to set up a small pavilion outside the city gate. He did not talk to Qiu Li Ren, nor did he call the door, but just sat in the pavilion outside the city gate with a knife.

After sitting for half a day, at night, someone came out of the city and asked Chen Leng why he came. Chen Leng refused to answer. The person who came waited outside the pavilion for an hour. Chen Leng never said a word, so the man had to return to the city angrily.

Chen Leng did not leave at night, and someone came to attack at night. Inside and outside the pavilion, Chen Leng killed more than a hundred people, but did not collect the corpses, allowing the corpses to be covered with blood.

At dawn, the city gate opened, an old monk came out barefoot and countless people were asking for help from behind.

Gazebo.

The old monk walked to Chen Leng and leaned over to see him. Then he walked to Chen Leng and sat cross-legged opposite him. He didn't say anything, but just sat facing Shen Leng.

He didn't speak coldly or speak, and sat for half a day.

By noon, Chen Leng asked someone to take dry food and water and put it in front of the old monk. After eating, he leaned against the pavilion to sleep. The old monk looked at the food in front of him and was silent for a long time, then asked: "Why is the general here?"

Chen Leng opened his eyes and looked at the old monk, looking like a master, but muttered in his heart that he almost suffocated me to death, and finally I won.

Chen Leng sat upright and looked at the old monk, but still didn't say anything.

The old monk asked: "Since the general has mercy, even an old man like me who doesn't want me to suffer and starve, why do you kill people like me? You don't collect the body after killing people?"

Chen Leng finally spoke: "I asked for it."

The old monk raised his eyebrows: "The general is very angry."

Chen Leng asked: "Who did I take the initiative to kill them?"

The old monk kept silent.

Chen sneered and said, "They come to kill me. If I don't fight back, I will be killed by them. I will kill them. The monk said I was wrong?"

"If the general doesn't come, why should they die?"

"Everyone in the four seas is equal, and everyone in the four seas is here can leave. I didn't kill people, nor did I enter the city. I just wanted to sit here and feel the call of Zen. He came to kill me, so why can't I kill him?"

The old monk asked: "If the general brings his sword to the forbidden city of the palace, there will be someone who will come to kill the general."

Chen Leng asked: "So the great monk thinks that this saint city is no different from the imperial palace, and he also thinks that the great monk is no different from the emperor?"

The old monk looked at Chen Leng: "General is a sophistry."

Chen Leng: "I didn't want to argue with you, it was the monk who came by himself."

The old monk shook his head: "The general is too determined to win. Every word is competing for victory, and every day is competing for victory. I believe he will work hard."

Chen sneered and replied: "Thank you for your hard work, but you live better than those who have lost."

The old monk frowned: "A person like the general is full of mundane affairs. If there is no important matter, he will not stay outside the city. If there is no important matter, he will not wait for me to come out. If there is no important matter, why not say anything directly?"

Chen Lengyu said earnestly: "Your family is here to beat my family."

He leaned forward slightly: "I'm just passing by, and by the way, I'll see what this Saint City looks like. When I'll beat your family and come to beat you, I'll be familiar with the road, so as to save time."

The old monk's face changed: "What do you mean by General?"

Chen Leng said: "If you are really the old emperor of Rilang Kingdom, then I can congratulate you. Your son ordered the summoning of 200,000 troops to attack Yuantiao Kingdom and was ready to welcome you back. The 200,000 army attacked the border. He should have killed many of my soldiers and killed many of my people in Daning. Just as I sat here without doing anything, but someone came to kill me. I sat here and there were people coming to kill them. I still felt wronged when I killed them, so I could only feel fair. If I was killed by your people when I killed you, it would be fair. If the monk had anything to say to your son, why don't you tell me and tell him when I broke through the capital of Rilang Kingdom."

The old monk's face was already a little ugly: "The general thinks, was it that I asked them to come?"

“No difference.”

Chen Leng said: "You didn't let them come, they came too."

The old monk was silent for a long time and waved his hand. Then a disciple came over. He ordered him to take the pen and ink, write something on his white monk's robe, and then tore off the monk's robe and hand it to Chen Leng: "The general can bring this letter to him, hoping to stop the creatures from getting into trouble."

Chen Leng laughed loudly, looked at the clothes, but didn't answer.

"Monkey, can your letter stop a war? Can your letter stop people's hearts?"

The old monk sighed: "The general is fighting in all directions, and I can't stop people like him."

Chen Leng shook his head: "Master, if one day many people sit together to discuss something, everyone holds heavy troops and no one can convince anyone, so they are ready to fight. At this time, Master, please stand up and advise them not to use weapons lightly. Will they listen?"

The great monk didn't speak.

Chen Leng said again: "But if I stand up and say no one is allowed to fight. Whoever hits me and kills whom, will they still dare to fight?"

The monk still didn't speak.

Chen Leng put away the letter written by the old monk: "I'm leaving, the monk think about it. If I could ask the eight thousand soldiers in the city to stand up and put down the knife in my hand before I came back, I would not attack the Saints City when I came back. If they refused, the monk should not blame me. I can only do my best not to disturb the monks' purity. There are more than eight thousand soldiers in the city, and there are many people holding weapons. Those who hold weapons should not be serious Zen disciples, right?"

Chen Leng stood up: "Speak seriously, Master, a letter may make the 200,000 troops of Rilang Kingdom withdraw. The monk's words may save the 100,000 people inside and outside the Saints City. My name is Chen Leng. Master, remember, I destroyed the Bohai Sea and slaughtered one city. It was just because I was disobedient. At that time, I also said, "The armed person died."

He left the pavilion, walked a few steps and then turned around and asked the old monk: "Master, are you walking barefoot, are you trying to tell the world that the earth is not dirty? If so, when you enter the pavilion, do you feel the bloody dirt? Or do you feel the earth stained with blood?"

The old monk was stunned.

After a moment of silence, he replied: "The earth is not dirty, and the blood is not dirty."

Chen Leng shook his head: "What I think about in my heart may not be stopped, it is greed. It is different from greed. The great monk is greedy for saving people, which is really clean. My greed for me and desire is really unclear, so I walk in my shoes, and I step on the ground and blood."
