Chapter 150 The Unyielding Japanese

Since the Da Shang bombed Nagasaki, the Japanese have been honest for a while and never owed compensation to the Northeast every year. They only occasionally sent some civil groups to protect the Hokkaido or Baoliuqiu to cause trouble, but before the Northeast could make a solution, the Japanese government consciously invited its own people away. Of course, this was also their helpless choice. In their eyes, the Northeast is now a monster, afraid of giving this bandit government any excuse to enter Japan.

The leader of the Xuanyang Society, Toyama Man, felt more complicated. He originally looked down on the Qing people. In fact, he looked down on the Qing people now. Of course, the Northeast is an exception. The bombing of Nagasaki by the Da Shang Air Force opened his eyes. In his heart, the Northeast has become Japan's number one enemy. Later, he discussed with Hiragaon Hokutaro, that just developing in Japan alone would have no hope of catching up with the Northeast. Moreover, there are very few people familiar with Chinese affairs in Japan, so it is necessary to cultivate a group of young Japanese people.

The person becomes Qingtong, which can also provide more precise support for Japan's future China policy.[bsp;   So in January 1884, Hiraoka Hiraoka Hirokataro met with Hiraoshita Masaichi and proposed to open a Chinese school in Shanghai, recruit young Japanese children, cultivate Qingtong, and collect the national conditions of the Qing Dynasty as a requirement for the future mainland operation. I originally wanted to open it in Yingkou or Shengjing, but the innate disgust of Northeast China with Japan made this plan impossible to implement.

On August 7, 1884, the Liberal Party, who was assisted by Bangaki, came forward to organize the "Tongyang Academy" and the school opened on Kunshan Road, Shanghai.

Tu Xiaohua, director of the Northeast Intelligence Bureau, sent a report on the school to the Northeast senior management. The school was under the guise of cultivating Chinese and Japanese economic and trade talents, but in fact it was just to train spies, only teach Chinese, English and other courses, and had no business subjects at all. Because it did not train commercial talents, it was opposed by the Japanese education community. Without the support of the Japanese government, it was officially disbanded on September 3, 1885.

In just one year, the Toyo Academy only recruited more than a dozen students, but among them, there were a group of famous Japanese spy leaders: Soba Kotaro, Naoka Naosu, Oki Kaoki, Shintaro Sawamura, Yamauchi Iwa, Jiro Nakano, Shoutaro Omoto, and Kuro Nakano. These Japanese people later became the backbone of the East Asian Cultural Association, but also held important positions in spy agencies such as the Hankou Leshando, the Japanese-Sheng Trade Institute, and the East Asian Cultural Academy, which played a crucial role in the war on the Qing Dynasty's intelligence work.

The great merchant bombed Nagasaki, which was called the Nagasaki incident in Japan. For this reason, the Japanese government specially ordered two ironclad ships of the same class from the Armstrong Shipyard in the UK, one was the Langsu and the other was the Takachiho.

The rough configuration is as follows: the normal displacement is 3,709 tons, the ship's length is 91.4 meters, the width is 14.1 meters, the draft is 5.8 meters, and it is equipped with 2 reciprocating steam engines and 6 coal-fired boilers. The normal coal load is 350 tons, the maximum coal load is 800 tons, dual-axis propulsion, the power is 7,604 horsepower, and the speed is 18 knots. The armor deck is 50-75mm, the armor thickness on the outside of the turbine part is 76mm, the armor thickness on the top of the turret and the bridge is 37mm, and 357 people are organized.

Weapons: 2 260mm35-caliber Krupp main guns, 6 150mm35-caliber Krupp guns, 6 47mm heavy Hakis rapid-fire guns, 10 25mm quadruple Nodianfeld machine guns, 4 11mm10-tube Green guns, and 4 360mm torpedo tubes.

These two warships are not so much challenging the Northeast Autonomous Region, but rather being Japan's self-protection behavior.

The Nagasaki incident quickly became the fuse for the Japanese right-wing to stir up the social hatred of China. Due to the limited resources and the narrow market in Japan, the development of capitalism was restricted. Because of the advocated external expansion and the Northeast Navy went to the outer sea near Kagoshima, the Kyushu region had no time, so the Kyushu region received support from the mine owners in the Kyushu region. The Kyushu mining chaebol (Yaskawa family, etc.) provided a lot of funds for the Kyushu Society, with the goal of seizing the coal and iron resources of the Qing Dynasty as soon as possible.

After obtaining economic support, Xuanyang Society's activities became increasingly rampant.

In 1885, the leader of the Japanese Genyo Club, Hiraoka Kotaro and Jiro Nakano agreed to send a group of members to China, including Yamazaki Kamasaki, Narazaki Hachiro, Hiraoka Tojiro, Tomomura Fumihei and others, joined Hankou Leshantang, and formed branches in various parts of China under the disguise of a pharmacy to spy on various types of information in China.

The intelligence network is centered on Hankou Leshantang. It first set up a branch in Hunan Province, with Yamauchi Iwai in charge, and then set up a Sichuan branch, with Ken Takahashi in charge and the Beijing branch, and was Soba Kotaro. The Japanese ronin has hair and braids, learns Chinese, disguises himself as a Qing people, wanders around the world, and even goes deep into wilderness areas such as Tibet, Xinjiang, Guangxi and Miaojiang in the Qing Dynasty to collect detailed information for the Japanese government.

Officials and powerful officials from various provinces in China, secretly conferred the sects, land, clothing, transportation, grain and wages, military system, manufacturing, mountains, rivers, geography, population, customs, and wealth, good and evil were among the Japanese spies. In addition, spies also infiltrated the Qing court. For example, Ishikawa Wuichi bribed Li Hongzhang's nephew, and Liu Fen, who worked in the Ordnance Bureau, received a large amount of deployment information from the Beiyang Navy from Liu, which shows that the influence was far-reaching.

Tu Xiaohua came to see Wang Yi. Today, there were Prime Minister Yang Qiuxing, 21 people from the Political Consultative Conference, as well as Wu Xiao, Wang Xiaoxiao and other senior executives from the insurance team.

"I didn't expect that the Japanese would actually penetrate the Qing Dynasty to such an extent." Prime Minister Yang Qiuxing was also shocked when he held the materials.

"This is just what we know..." Tu Xiaohua didn't have much expression.

The Political Bureau and the military personnel also responded fiercely, obviously not going to stand by and watch. However, Wang Yi looked calm. He dared not tell Japan's methods clearly, at least he had foreseeed them, so he was not surprised.

"Now this is just Xuanyang Society collecting information from the Qing Dynasty. I believe that the Japanese government will join in soon. They will not die if they destroy my Qing Dynasty. I believe everyone has already known this matter, and there is nothing to be surprised about."

"What does sir mean?"

"Xiaohua is responsible for this matter, and we don't need to intervene too much. Our territory has expanded too quickly in recent years and it takes a stable time to digest it. If Japan is willing to make trouble, let them make trouble! It will save us from dealing with them in the future and becoming an unknown master!"

A famous member of the Political Bureau said: "Sir, we understand your statement, but what if the Japanese stretched their hands to us?"

"I can't ask for it!" Wang Yi sneered. "There is no need to be polite to them at that time. Either pay compensation or cede land, and make the bigger the matter, the better. The Japanese came to their door by themselves, why are we polite?"

When the others talked about Wang Yi for a while, they all agreed with Wang Yi's opinion.

Yang Qiuxing said at this time: "Xiaohua, Da Shang's anti-espionage work will fall on your shoulders!"

"Don't worry, Prime Minister!"

"If you have any questions, you must do a good job in preventing government departments and various scientific research institutions."

While the security meeting in the northeast was held, in Fukuoka, Japan, he was talking about China's strategy with Hiragaon.

"Pinggang, how is our Hankou Leshan Hall plan progressing?" Toutanman asked with concern.

"all the best!"

Tooyama Man lowered his head and said nothing. Hiragaon Kotaro was very surprised and said, "What, is there something wrong?"

"Has the Northeast Autonomous Region not interfered in this matter?"

Hiragaon Hiragaon shook his head and pondered: "No. Hankou is far away from the Northeast after all, and even if they are strong, they can't think it's impossible to stretch out so far. Besides, the Qing court was not guarded against the Northeast."

Toyama Man felt that Hiragaon Hiragaon's words were not unreasonable, but he still advised: "It's better to be careful."

Hiragaon Kotaro nodded.

The two were drinking tea and wearing traditional Japanese clothes, chatting in one sentence, no matter what.

"It's a pity that the Toyo Academy in Shanghai has been closed due to funding issues, but the students who came out are not bad." Toushanman put down his teacup and said.

"Yes!" Hiragaon Hiragaon also felt a little sorry and said, "If we can continue, it will definitely be of greater help to collect information from the Qing Dynasty. Those people in the education industry are short-sighted and not worthy of making a decision!"

Tooyama Man didn't say anything, and gave Hiragaon Kotaro a cup of tea.

As soon as the door was pushed, Uchida Ryohei walked in.

"Uchida, please!" Toyama Man also poured him a cup of tea, and then asked, "How is the situation in North Korea?"

Uchida Ryohei sighed and said, "Zhao Ningxia arrested many Kaihua members in North Korea. Most of these people are now in prison. A few of them are fine. They dare not contact our people now, and they are afraid of causing trouble."

"What about the remaining royal members of North Korea?" asked Hiragaon Hiragaon. "They wouldn't be willing to be annexed by the Northeast Autonomous Region just like this, right?"

"Don't mention, those people are even more timid and afraid of things. Now Northeast China has stationed two divisions in North Korea and has also formed a new division. Although there has not yet been a combat power, if this continues, it will sooner or later pose a threat to our great Japanese empire."

"You mean...they's the goal of establishing the army is to us?" Mitsuka Hiragataro looked at each other and said in shock.

"The information collection in the Northeast is very difficult now. According to the current situation, it is probably like this! The Northeast will establish a new division in North Korea every year, and it is said that it will reach the scale of four to five divisions. I don't know the purpose of their establishment of these armies. The Russians in the north are unable to look east, and there are no enemies in the Northeast in the south. Now, we and the Qing court are left..."

Hirotaro Manheigang understood Uchida Ryohei's meaning, and chose between the Qing Dynasty and Japan, so many troops were established in Northeast China, and it was in North Korea, so it was naturally clear that the sword was aimed at.

"There is another news, that is, the French colonies in Southeast Asia, Annan and Khmer have now become the territory of the Northeast. Although there are sporadic resistances in it, there seems to be no strength to struggle in front of the insurance team in the Northeast..."
