Chapter 80 Mushrooms Are Mushrooms

Jie Zuo looked along Qi Zhu's outstretched hand and saw a human figure lying flat on the bed. The room was too dark to see clearly.

Jie Zuo looked at Qi Zhu in confusion. Qi Zhu took two steps forward and motioned for Xie Zuo to go over and take a look.

Under the illumination of a lantern, Jie Zuo finally saw clearly what was lying on the bed - it was indeed a person, but a dead person. His face was so rotten that he couldn't see clearly. The strange thing was that the corpse was covered with various mushrooms.

Jie Zuo looked at it for a while, then held up a lantern to shine on the ground. As expected, the mucus spread from the ground to the corpse's chest.

"What are you taking pictures of?" Qi Zhu asked when he noticed that Jingzuo was taking pictures non-stop on the ground.

Jie Zuo wiped a handful of the mucus with his hand, straightened up and showed it to Qi Zhu: "I just found this thing on the first floor. It stretches all the way to here. Do you recognize it?"

Qi Zhu looked at it and shook his head, then Jie Zuo wiped the mucus onto the bed.

"The mucus on the ground is not too dry yet. It seems that no matter what this thing is, it should not be gone for long." Jie Zuo became serious for once, and Qi Zhu nodded after hearing this.

"Who is this guy with mushrooms all over his body?" Jie Zuoyi asked, pointing to the person on the bed.

Qi Zhu took a deep breath, took out an ID card from his pocket and handed it to Xie Zuo.

The photo and name on the ID have been changed, but the Bize City police badge can still be seen.

"This is our informant!" Qi Zhu said seriously.

"Our informant is a mushroom star?" Jie Zuo wondered.

"We received the tip the day before yesterday, but this guy has been dead for a week at least. Who gave us the tip?" Qi Zhu ignored Zuo's previous nonsense.

"Um, could it be that he refused to die with his eyes closed? He loved Bize City so he wanted to die..." Jie Zuo couldn't stand Qi Zhu's look like he was looking at a fool and did not say the rest of his words.

"We were fooled!" Qi Zhu took out his cell phone and wanted to dial his colleagues in the truck.

"Look to the sky, high up, the time has come for the stars to return to their proper places..."

An inexplicable singing sound came, and the tune was weird and inexplicable, which made people feel uncomfortable.

Jie Zuo smiled bitterly, and Qi Zhu looked at Jie Zuo in confusion: "Do you know what song this is?"

Jie Zuo nodded: "I'd rather not know, let's start running now!" Jie Zuo screamed and ran downstairs. Qi Zhu followed Jie Zuo in confusion.

"How long have Jiezuo and the others been there?" Susie asked while sitting in the truck.

One of them looked at his watch: "I've been there for about an hour, and I should be here by now."

"Still can't contact them?" Susie asked again.

The man shook his head. It was raining heavily outside...

Qi Zhu dialed the phone, and there was a "tingling, tingling" sound from the phone, but no one answered.

The two people ran downstairs, and the lantern in Xie Zuo's hand suddenly turned into red light. The red light was dazzling, and Jie Zuo had to block it with his hand.

"Damn it, what nonsense are you filling in at this time? Didn't you see that I am making a strategic retreat?" Jie Zuo shouted towards the lantern.

"I can't control all the lighting changes." Deng Ying said helplessly.

Qi Zhu was dumbfounded as he watched from behind - the light in Jie Zuo's hand changed color as he ran, and then he started to argue with his own light. Is this a sign of worsening of the disease?

"Run!" Jie Zuo didn't have any intention of holding up the lantern and said hello to Qi Zhu before running towards the door in front of him, which was just a stone's throw away.

"Bang" Jie Zuo bounced back. The door had been smashed by Qizhu, but now there was a strange symbol floating in the air in the empty space.

Jie Zuo stood up covering his head and touched the front - the empty door seemed to be blocked by a "glass cover".

Qi Zhu took a step forward to see if Jie Zuo was alright, but as soon as his eyes saw the runes floating in the air, his head buzzed.

Qi Zhu felt as if he had fallen into the deep sea, with dark water everywhere, and he kept falling down, down...

"What are you doing standing still! Run up!" Jie Zuo shouted, bringing Qi Zhu back to reality. In just a few minutes, Qi Zhu was already breaking out in a cold sweat.

"Oh...oh okay." Qi Zhu agreed and turned around to run up.

The sound of rain became louder and louder, and everyone sitting in the truck was "grabbed" by an uneasy feeling. This feeling came inexplicably, but it "went deep into the bones."

"Shuka, you...what's wrong with you?" Susie looked back and looked at her colleague named Shuka.

"It's okay...it's just...a little itchy..." Shuka responded to his colleague's concern and scratched his body.

"It's itchy, it's so itchy." Shuka kept scratching his body with both hands, still complaining of itching. Finally, he took off his shirt and scratched "prickly, prickly" all over his body.

Colleagues around him began to move away from Shuka, and Susie frowned and watched.

"It's so itchy, so itchy..." Shuka's whole body is now covered with blood marks that he scratched out, and the blood flows down his body to the ground...

"Suppress him!" Susi ordered decisively, and several strong men went up to hold Shuka down.

Shuka is a clerk who organizes information. His body is not very strong. Usually a strong man can subdue him. But today, four or five people could barely suppress him.

"Ah ah ah, I'm itching..." Shuka's scream was like a big hand holding the "heart" of everyone present. Everyone looked at the struggling Shuka in horror.

"What...what is this?" one of the people holding Shuka said in horror.

Susie went over and took a look, and mushrooms began to grow one after another from under Shuka's scratched skin. The mushrooms grew very fast, and each mushroom was the size of an adult's fist.

The few people holding Shuka down hurriedly retreated. After a while, Shuka's entire body was submerged in mushrooms and he stopped struggling.

Everyone looked at each other in horror.

Susie leaned over, and Shuka was silent. Several mushrooms sprouted from his entire face, one of which grew from his mouth.

"May you rest in peace." Susie chanted in a low voice, then turned to the others and said: "Inform other vehicles that we are evacuating."

The others had long wanted to leave when they saw Shuka's inexplicable misery. When they heard Susie's instructions, they were overjoyed and immediately contacted other vehicles.

"Evacuate, evacuate!" the communications soldier yelled into the walkie-talkie, but there was no response.

Susie patted the car in front of her, but the driver in front didn't respond.

"Everyone check the equipment, let's get out of the car." Susie ordered.

"Wow, wow..." The rain poured on them. These people didn't bring fishing gear when they came, and everyone who got off the bus was soaked.

Susie got out of the car and walked to the side of the cab and knocked on the glass. There was no response. Susie frowned and ordered a man in white robes who was traveling with her to smash the glass.

The strong man in white robe took out a round melon hammer with a copper handle less than one meter from his waist. The small hammer was very heavy.
