Chapter 684: The Great Court Meeting

The preparations for the Zhengdan Great Court Meeting started from the Winter Solstice, and this was the first time that Su You participated in the whole process from beginning to end.

"There is no need for the drums to remind the spring. The king will usher in the spring on the first day of the year. The peonies, peonies, and roses are all blooming on the hats of thousands of officials."

The Dachaohui is one of the most solemn ceremonies in the Song Dynasty, held three times a year - Yuan Zheng, May New Year, and Winter Solstice.

Among them, the Yuanzheng Dynasty Meeting is the most grand, and the other two are sometimes absent.

A large court meeting cost tens of thousands of guan, and the court could not afford it. It was often suspended due to conflicts with ceremonies such as national mourning, weather changes, rain and snow, war, the emperor's illness, and suburban sacrifices.

The starting point of the Great Court Meeting is the Daqing Hall, the main hall of the imperial palace.

The Daqing Hall is composed of nine halls, five corridors, and sixty east and west corridors. It is large and majestic and can accommodate tens of thousands of people.

Su You got up very early today. The official meeting needs to be in place seven quarters before the end of the ceremony, and it will officially start two and a half quarters before the end of the ceremony.

Etiquette is very complicated and there is no room for error.

At that time, Lu Yijian got up because he missed the etiquette and missed one bow at the court meeting. There were rumors inside and outside that "Heaven took away his soul", and the get out of class was dismissed soon after.

The clothing of officials in the Song Dynasty was divided into court uniforms, official uniforms and regular uniforms.

Su You was ranked as Shaobao and a permanent official. He was required to wear court uniforms at all court meetings.

So Su You's current outfit includes: seven crowns; a rhinoceros horn hairpin; clothes painted with tigers, algae, and powdered rice with three chapters; clothes painted with fur, two chapters; silver sashes and swords; leather belts; and brocade ribbons.

Two jade rings; Fei Bai Luo belt; Fei Luo socks; Shoes.

Be careful when walking and walk slowly in all directions to avoid throwing all the broken pieces around you.

Leakage is a special name for a point in time. The ancients had two sets of time, one is the twelve earthly branch timers, and the other is the timer of the leakage time.

Lek is a bucket filled with water. There is a lid on the bucket. There is a hole in the middle of the lid, and an engraved arrow is inserted into the hole.

There are one hundred scales on the carved arrow. When water is poured into the bucket at a constant speed, the carved arrow will float. Every six hours, the hundred scales are completed, which is called "liquidation".

This time point is two moments before the point when the sun rises from the horizon - "Pingdan".

The so-called standing shift is about nine quarters before Pingdan, almost two hours before sunrise.

In the early days, there were officials who set up the throne in the Daqing Hall, with east and west rooms to the left and right of the throne and to the north, and east and west rooms at the back of the palace.

Afterwards, hundreds of officials, clan members, and envoys were listed in order inside and outside the court.

The five chariots, namely jade chariots, gold chariots, elephant chariots, leather chariots and wooden chariots, were first displayed in the court.

In the Ministry of War, Huang command was set up to fight inside and outside the palace.

Tai Le Ling, Zhi Yue of Zhan Gong Jia was crossing the street to the south.

Advocate ordered that twelve cases be placed outside the palace frame.

Xielülang, who is also the conductor of the band - but he does not use a baton, but a flag, called "Mi" - there are two of them, one is located in front of the west steps of the palace, and the other is located in the northwest of the palace frame, both facing east.

The palace is divided into three floors, the first floor is Danchi, the second floor is Longchi, and the third floor is the palace courtyard, also called Shachi.

The chariot and the royal horse are placed in Longchi; umbrellas and fans are placed in Shachi.

The tributes are placed in the south of the palace frame, facing east and west; the rest, such as tributes, etc., are listed outside the Daqing Gate.

The supporting deacons, ministers, envoys and deputies stand on the left and right, and the deputies of the Privy Council are responsible for the decree and control. They stand below His Highness, facing east and west, and in different positions, heading north.

Above Danqi, there are all big guys.

The theoretical highest-ranking officials of the official system of the Song Dynasty - the three divisions, the three ministers, the Shizhong, the Zhongshu Ling, the left and right servants, and the Kaifu Yitong three divisions are located south of Danchixiang case and slightly east;

Shangshu Zuocheng is located behind them, all facing north and west;

The Prince is located to the south of the Incense Table, slightly to the west, and to the north and east.

The servant under the door is located to the east. Below him is the left Sanqi Changshi. The second is to serve, the left is to admonish the officials, and the left is to admonish the officials. The right words are all heavy, and they are located behind.

The Minister of Zhongshu is located to the west. Below him is the Sanqi Changshi on the right. The second is the Minister of Zhongshu, and the right is admonishing the officials. The third is the Secretary of the Zhongshu. The right words are all important, and he is located behind.

Guanwen, the bachelor of Zizhengdian, the bachelor of Zizhengdian, and the bachelor of Duanmingdian are located to the south, southwest and north.

The Hanlin bachelors took the imperial decree and went to the Baowen Pavilion, located in the second south. Below them were the Privy Council bachelors, who were waiting for the system, and all were re-ranking. They were located behind, and facing east and north, with the living room and the room for the people, and the incense table facing east and west.

It sounds very lively, but most of the above positions are empty positions, or foreign official honorary positions, and the rest have overlapping positions, so there are not many people in total.

As for Su You, as a bachelor of Longtuge, he was at the forefront of the bachelor's class in front of the throne.

Then go down to Longchi.

The Khitan envoy is located on Longqi, Shaoxi, north and east.

The surname of the clan, from the Jiedushi envoy to the deputy commander of the rate mansion, is located in the south of Hengjie, facing east and west, and the classes are in different positions, heading north.

The left and right patrols are located in the south, facing east and west.

From the time of special advancement to those who have not yet been promoted to court officials, the front of the palace frame is tilted to the east, and the classes are in different positions, facing north and west.

The envoy of the Xia State is to the east of the palace frame, with the soldiers behind him, and the people of the Xia State following him.

Now the status of Dali has been raised to the same position as Xixia, so it is also here, alongside the Xia envoys.

Yushitaiban, Shaoxi in front of the palace frame.

Below Jiedu, due west, and again to the north and east, with bits advancing and retreating one column behind.

The envoy of Korea is to the west of the palace frame, the military personnel are behind him, and the Koreans are next.

The guest seats of the Tibetan people are in the second west, and the Jinzou officer is located in the south of the palace frame.

In the Song Dynasty, literary affairs were emphasized, and all the tributes were paid to the emperor. He was also honored to participate in the imperial meeting. He was located behind the guest seats of the Tibetan people and to the north.

Further down is the Daqing Gate. This is the Xuban position. It is outside the Daqing Gate, facing east and west, with the north facing up.

On the right is the case of Zhongshu Shilang Zhufang Zhenbiao.

On the left is the auspicious case for Shizhong.

The officials stood still and were silent.

In the main hall, the sound of tinkling bells suddenly rang out. It was a group of bells. The small bells made up sweet music, and the big bells clanged, clang, clang... they rang continuously and steadily.

At the same time, from the south of Bianjing City, the same six distant bells sounded, corresponding to the bells in the hall.

Only then did the ministers discover that on the right side of the Danchi Incense Table in the Daqing Hall, there was a magnificent and exquisite machine that was as tall as a person.

The outer shell of the machine is made of finely forged brass, and the base is decorated with golden grain patterns. On top of it are four head-high turtle dragons. On the turtle dragon's back are four brass coiled dragon pillars. The bottom of the pillars are in the shape of a turtle's foot, and they step on the turtle dragon's back.

Above, it symbolizes the feet that support heaven and earth.

The middle of the pillar is inlaid with glass, and in the middle is a small silver shiny ball, swinging back and forth in a ticking manner.

Going up the pillar is the clock case that wraps the clock. There are ancient legends and stories on the clock case, including Pangu opening the sky, Kuafu chasing the sun, Chang'e flying to the moon, Houyi shooting the sun, etc.

The clock case is wrapped in a delicate dial. The dial is made of scallop mother-of-pearl as the base, coal-fired stone as the scale, and brass hands with complicated patterns. The short needle points to the scale directly below, and the long hand points to the scale directly above.

There is a golden roof on top, and there is a door below. When telling the time, the door is opened, and you can see two small bronze figures inside taking turns ringing a bell.

But if you really look carefully, you will find that the little bronze figure is just making movements, and the real sound of the bell comes from the clock base below.

The magnificent clock aroused the curiosity of the officials, but the auspicious time finally arrived, and no one dared to say anything nonsense.

Zhao Xu's royal chariot has arrived, just behind the throne.

Today, he first wanted to pay homage to the Queen Mother for her birthday, and then the chariot came out of the inner palace and went to the west to lower the chariot.

Fu Baolang went to the west to welcome him with all the treasures. There were the following secretaries and supervisors, the following censors and Zhiza, and the following clan and foreign defense envoys were in place.

They represent the emperor's team and are responsible for handing over seal documents during ceremonies, supervising etiquette order, and protecting the emperor.

The Shizhong version plays Zhongyan, reminding people to be quiet and reset.

Everyone straightened their clothes and waited.

After a while, the waiter waited for everyone to finish sorting, then came in to report that the officials outside were ready.

The whip was sounded in the palace, and Tai Le ordered the bell to ring, and the five bells on the right responded at the same time.

The divination curtain was rolled up, and the servants followed the order, closed the fans, and escorted Zhao Xu's royal carriage out of the west.

Although Su You now regards himself as a complete Song Dynasty person, and his daily life and behavior are no different from those of the ancients, the Great Court Meeting still made Su You feel like he was in a drama, as if he was filming a movie. Average movie.

And I am one of the extras.

When the emperor went out to the west, all the officials fell into hiding.

Zhao Xu today wears a crown with twenty-four beams reaching the sky, with twelve cicadas attached, one foot high and one foot wide, Zhu Shazu belt, and Jinbo Mountain.

Wearing a crimson gauze robe, made of red gold bar gauze, woven with clouds and dragons on the top, and red ruffles as the lining; a crimson gauze skirt embroidered with clouds and dragons; a white ruffled square heart-shaped collar; a leather belt; white stockings and black ponchos.

This set of clothes is called Gunmian, Zhengdan, and is specially provided for the Great Court in May.

In fact, since last night, there had been a Nuo ceremony and other activities in the palace, and Zhao Xu's face was already a little tired and stiff.
