Chapter 8 Parents blocking the way

A football field, in a dark corner.

Chris was lying on the ground with a bruised nose and face, while Gwen, holding a three-section baton stained with blood in her hand, looked down at Chris condescendingly with a sinister look on her pretty face.

"Damn... wasn't yesterday's thing... over!?" Chris gasped: "What on earth do you want to do?"

"Yesterday's matter is over?" Gwen put a stick on his throat and sneered: "You secretly took revenge, so you think the matter is over, right?"

"What are you talking about...I don't understand..." Chris's bruised face was full of confusion. He could understand every word, but he couldn't understand them all together.

Gwen raised her foot and stepped on Chris' chest: "Are you trying to say that the injury on his head has nothing to do with you?"

"Is that yellow... Oriental man injured?" Chris looked stunned and at a loss.

"You don't know?" Gwen was equally astonished. Chris's expression didn't look like he was faking it, but immediately, Gwen shouted coldly again: "Stop pretending! If it wasn't you, who else could it be?"

"Damn it, it's none of my business if he's injured!" Chris roared angrily, his nose still feeling sore:

"I haven't seen him since yesterday, okay!"

Seeing the aggrieved look on his face, Gwen's heart skipped a beat and she felt inexplicably weak. Her originally tough aura suddenly softened.

Could it be that I made a mistake? I should test Cao's statement.

"Asshole! Please find out the facts before you hit someone!" Chris roared madly: "New York is so big and there are so many people, why do you think it was me who hit him!"

Seeing this, Gwen subconsciously took a step back. It seemed that she had really found the wrong person?

But immediately, he became angry and shouted: "Damn Texan, what are you shouting for?"

"If you didn't hit him yesterday, and if you don't hit him today, you will definitely not hit him tomorrow!"

Chris: "..."

Seeing Gwen beating her up, Chris let out a long sigh. New York was so dangerous. He had been beaten three times in two days. To be honest, he missed Texas.

"You must have been thinking about how to retaliate against us. Let me tell you, don't let me see you again, otherwise I will beat you every time I see you!"

Gwen threatened fiercely, and then walked away, but... her steps were a little panicky, giving people the feeling of running away.

Chris pursed his lips and wanted to cry, but he couldn't. Why was he obsessed with this woman yesterday?

In a deserted corner, Gwen covered her face, her lovely earlobes turned red. She was so ashamed. She wanted to make a difference, but she didn't expect to be in a big embarrassment.

But fortunately, it's not a big problem. As long as she doesn't say anything, no one will know. Gwen patted her cheek, took a deep breath, and began to adjust her mood.

After a while, the blush faded away and Shi Shiran returned to his seat as if nothing had happened.

However, good things don't go out, and bad things spread thousands of miles. During class, Cao Gui heard the "news" from others about Chris's nose and face being swollen.

Thinking of the time when Gwen disappeared from class, Cao Gui couldn't help but look at Gwen with a strange expression on his face.

Good guy, as expected of you, Spider-Woman!

"What are you looking at? I've never seen a beautiful woman before!" Gwen said coquettishly.

Cao Gui chuckled and rushed to Gwen: "Gwen, do you have time tonight? How about having a meal together?"

With that said, Cao Gui lifted up his hair and exposed the bandage: "How about I talk to you about this matter? You will definitely be interested."

"Nonsense, I'm not interested in your affairs." Gwen's pretty face blushed slightly: "I do have time, but is this a date?"

"It's not a date, just a chat alone."

Cao Gui denied it very wisely. Judging from Gwen's expression, if it were a date, the matter would definitely fall through.

"Just eating?"

"Just eating."

"Just chatting?"

"Of course, just chatting."

Gwen felt relieved. What she feared most was that Cao Gui would use this incident to stalk her. Although she took action to teach Chris a lesson, it was more out of gratitude and indignation for yesterday.

She and Cao Guiman had only known each other for two days. It was really too fast for them to go on a date or something.

"Okay, no problem." Gwen smiled.

The school bell rang again, and the last class began. However, as a top student, Gwen was a little distracted in this class. Her thoughts were racing, and she felt that her attitude towards Cao Gui was not very good.

I felt a little guilty, but at the same time I felt that I was right to keep my distance at this stage, and I was right.

One class passed just like this with Gwen's entanglement. The bell rang and the two of them walked out of the school gate side by side.

"Gwen, is there anything you want to eat?"

"Well...actually, it's fine. I'm not picky about food."

“How about Chinese food?”

"Okay, I've never had it before, but I heard that General Tso's chicken is quite delicious."

Cao Gui looked embarrassed. Zuo Zongtang's chicken? The Chinese said they had never heard of it.

However, while the two were happily discussing, a black Chevrolet sedan stopped in front of them, with the window rolled down, revealing the face of a handsome middle-aged white man.

"Dad?" Gwen asked in surprise: "Why are you here?"

"Your mother made some seafood and asked me to get off work early to pick you up." George Stacy said, and then turned his eyes to Cao Gui: "Who is this?"

"Hello, Mr. Stacey, my name is Cao Gui, and I am Gwen's classmate."

"Oh, that's it. Hello, Gwen just transferred here and made friends with you. Thank you for being so kind to my daughter."

Cao Gui scratched his face. What he said was true, but...why did Mao think you had bad intentions?

On the other side, Gwen had a headache looking at the two of them. Her father came to pick her up in person. It would be inappropriate not to go back. But the problem is... She has already agreed to Cao Gui's invitation. Going back now is equivalent to breaking the contract.

Cao Gui saw Gwen's entangled look and immediately understood her embarrassing situation. In fact, this situation could be easily solved, as long as Mr. Stacey said, "Come to our house for dinner."

But it was obvious that the other party did not mean this, and he could not leave Gwen in such an embarrassing situation, so he had no choice but to do it himself.

Under his trouser pocket, Cao Gui slid his finger across the screen of his cell phone. After a while, the ringtone of his cell phone rang.

Cao Gui gave an apologetic smile to his father and daughter, then picked up his cell phone and pretended to make a call.

Well, after a while, he said to Gwen: "I'm sorry, Gwen, I suddenly have something to deal with, and I may have to miss the appointment."

Gwen forced a smile: "It doesn't matter, let's deal with your affairs first."

"I'm sorry, Gwen."

"It's okay, Cao, see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

"Goodbye, Mr. Stacey."

"Well, this classmate, goodbye."

Cao Gui waved his hand and walked away, while Gwen got into her father's car angrily, keeping a cold face and saying nothing the whole time.

She knew this was the best way to deal with her, but if it hadn't been for her father, or if he had come a little later, this wouldn't have happened.

When they arrived at home, their mother Helen happily invited the two of them to sit down and prepare to eat seafood, but she saw her daughter's face looking unhappy.

"Huh? What happened?"

Helen was a little surprised. In the past, the relationship between father and daughter was better than the relationship between mother and daughter or husband and wife.

"Uh... Well..." George shrugged: "Maybe I was a bit harsh on his classmates."

"Really?" Helen said in surprise: "Gwen, can you tell us? It seems that you haven't told us about your classmates since you transferred to another school."

Gwen sighed and briefly talked about Cao Gui helping her deal with the Texas guy. Of course, she concealed the fact that she beat someone today.

"I see, I wrongly blamed him." George said, subconsciously ignoring his daughter's good fighting ability. In his eyes, his daughter will always be weak and easily bullied.

"But Gwen, I don't think you can fall in love now. Although he has helped you, after all, you have only known each other for a short time. You should be more vigilant."

Gwen rolled her eyes and concentrated on the lobster in front of her, ignoring her noisy father.

"Well... I have time to meet him for dinner. Thank you for helping my daughter." George added without sincerity. As for when he has time, don't ask. Ask because he is busy with work.

Textile factory No. 17, suburb of Nordbergen.

Several killers from the Brotherhood gathered around. Sloan opened the white cloth covering on the side, revealing a corpse, and said slowly: "I'm sorry, gentlemen, another of our comrades has been killed by a traitor."

Everyone looked at the imaginative Mr.

"Chief, we must do something." The gunsmith said solemnly: "We can't let the cross continue to kill like this."

"I know, that's why I called you here." Sloan nodded and took out a photo of a young man wearing a blue coat: "Firefox, go and bring him back."

"Repairmen, gunsmiths, butchers, please prepare yourself and be prepared to train the rookies."

"Yes, leader!"

But the butcher frowned slightly. He still had an undecided fate of the little FBI in his hands. There were so many things.

On the other side, Cao Gui accepted various things from the store downstairs and was preparing to start a day of practice.

As for Gwen and his father, Cao Gui didn't pay much attention. Originally, according to the development, the relationship between him and Gwen would take a further step. After a few months, they would naturally show their feelings and get together.

But the appearance of Director Stacey interrupted this development and wiped out the budding relationship between the two.

The relationship between him and Gwen has become neither good nor bad. They can't be just friends. Their friendship has become a bit deep. They can't be lovers either. Their relationship hasn't accumulated to that point.

Cao Gui didn't care much about this. He had plenty of time to break the deadlock. As for now, cultivation is still important.

The next day, Cao Gui came to school. As he expected, the relationship between the two became dull. Apart from studying, there was no more communication between the two.

Time passed day by day, and Cao Gui entered a simple and fulfilling life, studying during the day and practicing at night.

After a week, he has mastered the use of paper painting skillfully, but the problem is that he must consciously control it, and he cannot achieve the state of his heart.

The reason why he can practice so quickly is mainly because the information input into his brain by the system contains the cultivation experience of many masters, such as CP9's Owl, Bruno and Lu Qi. The experience of these people has been of great help to him.

In the second week of training, he used paper painting for longer and longer periods of time. Although he was still exhausted, if he controlled it rhythmically, he should be able to sustain a battle.

A month later, he had basically mastered the martial art of paper painting. Except for his lack of practical experience and his inability to change his body shape, other problems were no longer a problem.
