Chapter 50 Assessment

Xu Dong's nap finally came to nothing.

The weather was too hot, it was at least 40 degrees Celsius at noon, and there was no air conditioning in the dormitory. There was only an electric fan hanging above the head, and it was shared by four people.

At two o'clock, the four people in the dormitory began to pack their belongings and prepare to go to the classroom for class. Xu Dong seemed to have regained a little bit of the feeling of his student days.

When we came to the classroom, well, it couldn't be said to be a classroom, it should be a lecture hall. An ordinary classroom could not accommodate the students from the rotating training class.

"Shall we sit in the back?" Xu Dong suggested.

Teachers rarely ask questions in the back row, and even if they desert, they are not easily discovered, which is very suitable for Xu Dong's soy-based learning attitude.

"Okay!" Lao Ma agreed.

Zhao Jian and Lao Zhu both looked indifferent. They could sit anywhere, so the last four of them sat in the second to last row, close to the aisle.

"Hey, brother Xu, you're here." Wang Lixin saw Xu Dong and immediately came over to say hello.

Xu Dong introduced Wang Lixin to his three roommates. Because they had the same status, they all felt a bit like each other, and they quickly became familiar with each other.

"Brother Wang, what dormitory number do you live in?" Xu Dong asked casually.

"604, what about you?"

"We are 237. Come and visit the dormitory when we have time. We have enough pipes." Xu Dong invited.

"Okay, I'll go there if I have time in the evening." Wang Lixin agreed.

He was unlucky. His three roommates were all police officers. As an outsider, he couldn't get in the conversation when they were chatting about topics within the circle. His occasional chirping in would only add to the embarrassment.

Everyone chatted for a while, and before we knew it, it was half past two, and the first class of the rotational training class began.

Before class, all students received their own textbooks. There were three books in total, namely:

"Police Defense and Control in the New Era"

"Standards for Handling 100 Group Incidents"

"On Public Security Culture"

Three books in ten days means that you have to study one book every three days. The time is tight and the learning pressure is high, not to mention the assessment.

Xu Dong especially felt a headache. He had been a poor student since he was a child, and what he feared most was all kinds of exams.

However, fortunately, these three books are all liberal arts textbooks. As long as you memorize them by rote, you should have no problem successfully completing the course.

In the first class, the person standing in front of the desk was none other than Feng Zhimin, the principal of the Police Academy, a white-haired old man in his sixties.

After some polite words, Principal Feng got down to the topic:

"Everyone here is an elite member of our police force."

Hearing this, Xu Dong felt extremely guilty, and even his body involuntarily became a little shorter.

The speech continues:

"So for this training rotation, we have directly canceled the physical training. Instead, we need to thoroughly understand the three textbooks in your hands. Not only must you thoroughly understand them, but you must also learn and apply them."

At this moment, the happiest person in the lecture hall was Xu Dong. When he heard that there was no physical training, he almost laughed out loud.

It's true that you can't find anything without wearing iron shoes, and it doesn't take any effort to get it.

For more than half an hour, Principal Feng introduced in detail the main content and creative background of these three textbooks, as well as the necessity of learning.

To sum it up, it’s just one sentence:

The current situation is very complicated, social contradictions are very acute, internal and external troubles are emerging in an endless stream, and it is not enough to stabilize the country without learning.

In short, the tone was raised to a very high pitch, which made Xu Dong, a police veteran, excited.

From the beginning of the second class, Xu Dong was completely immersed in busy study, and he couldn't be less serious.

If students fail to pass the assessment, they will not only have to make up the exam, but also have to extend their rotation training time. This is the result Xu Dong least wants to see.

In the blink of an eye, nine days passed.

At eleven o'clock in the evening, the lights in the dormitory were still on, and the four of Xu Dong were burning the midnight oil because tomorrow was the final assessment time.

After studying for so many days, it depends on whether you can successfully graduate.

"Lao Xu, do you still have cigarettes there?" Lao Ma asked with a yawn.

Xu Dong opened the drawer and rummaged through it, shook his head and said, "No, it's all been ruined by Lao Wang and his group."

Lao Wang is Wang Lixin, and it was from him that the news about the smoke in dormitory 237 was accidentally leaked.

From then on, students from Xudong came to visit me every now and then. Everyone obeyed the rules and left after having a cigarette, and never smoked more.

But even so, the four cartons of cigarettes did not last for a week, and they soon bottomed out. However, Xu Dong also took the opportunity to make many new friends, and he himself became a celebrity in the class.

"It's true, Lao Wang, a grown man, why can't he keep his mouth shut!" Lao Ma couldn't help complaining.

"Crack some melon seeds!"

Xu Dong shook his head, took out a bag of melon seeds, and divided some among his three roommates.

The snacks I brought were also almost eaten, except for the last few packets of melon seeds.

"Thank you, Lao Xu! After smoking so many cigarettes and eating so many snacks, I will treat you to dinner when I get back." Lao Zhu said sincerely.

Xu Dong smiled and said: "What kind of guest are you inviting? When I have something to do in the future, I will ask you for help. Just don't refuse."

"Then you don't have to say it."

Lao Ma took the opportunity to tease: "Lao Zhu, you are a little security guard, how can you help Lao Xu?"

"Why can't you help?" Lao Zhu said unconvinced, "Old Xu, if you want to go abroad, I can help you get a ferry ticket."

As a small leader of Daxia Shipbuilding Industry, he knows many senior people in shipping companies, so it is no problem to get a few shipping tickets.

Xu Dong waved his hand quickly, "I have no need to go abroad. It's fine to stay at home."

"What? Lao Zhu, are there many people going abroad recently?" Zhao Jian put down his notes and asked curiously.

Lao Zhu nodded: "There are too many. Now the drought is getting more and more serious. Many rich people are afraid of famine, so they simply hide abroad."

"Isn't there a drought in foreign countries?" Lao Ma asked doubtfully.

"Who knows, everyone is heading to developed countries anyway. Nowadays, a ticket to the other side of the ocean, even for ordinary cabin, is almost 500,000 yuan. It is still hard to get a ticket." Lao Zhu lamented.

road.

"There are so many rich people in our country." Zhao Jian said with emotion, 500,000 yuan is almost his five-year salary.

Lao Ma said bitterly: "Now that the housing prices in Yanjing are so high, if you sell a house, won't you have all the ferry tickets for the whole family?"

"Okay, stop talking and endorse it quickly. If you fail the exam tomorrow, let alone go abroad, you won't even be able to leave school." Xu Dong complained.

The dormitory became quiet again.

After a night passed, after breakfast, the assessment officially began.

The entire assessment is divided into two rounds. The first round is a written examination, that is, making papers; the second round is a simulation exercise, and the instructors will give comprehensive scores based on the students' on-site performance.

In the written test in the morning, Xu Dong felt that he did okay. He should have no problem getting a passing grade by relying on rote memorization. The key was the simulation drill in the afternoon.

He had no experience at all in this area and could only rely on improvisation.

At one o'clock in the afternoon, the simulation exercise began, and the entire assessment was also divided into two rounds. The first round tested individual performance, and the second round tested team performance.

Xu Dong was lucky. In the first round of individual tests, he got a relatively simple question.
