"There are rumors all over the world that you have met the founder of the Northern Zen Sect, Shenxiu, deep in the Songshan Mountains. I wonder if this is true?
I first went to Yongliang for a walk, and I actually had a fight with the founder of Guizong, and I am sure that Zen Master Shenxiu is still alive." Su Wu turned around the gate wall of Tiefo Temple with his Dharma wisdom and walked through a secluded alley.
He suddenly asked Fazhi.
Fazhi hesitated for a moment after hearing this, and finally answered truthfully: "Songshan Temple was in a dangerous situation before. In order to protect themselves and to frighten the prying eyes of heretics, the entire Buddhist temple made a concerted effort to claim that the poor monks were practicing deep in Songshan Mountain.
, I was able to see my master appear in the world, preach Dharma to the poor monks, and pass on the power of great vows.
——Actually, this is not the case...
I am a poor monk who has never met Patriarch Shenxiu.
The bad commander has indeed met the Patriarch Shenxiu. The Patriarch is still alive in the world, so why doesn’t he appear in the main temple of our sect? Where did he go?”
Su Wu smiled and said: "I asked you to find out the whereabouts of Zen Master Shenxiu, but you asked me instead. How can I find out where Zen Master Shenxiu went?"
Although he didn't know Shenxiu's whereabouts, he had a vague hunch in his heart - Shenxiu had a draw with himself this time, and his goal had not been achieved. There will definitely be another time when Shenxiu shows up to fight with himself, perhaps not long after.
Su Wu can see Shenxiu again, or other eminent monks related to Shenxiu who have passed away.
Both Shan Wuwei and Wu Kong passed away, but they did not actually die - their spirits merged into one body to practice, and they both turned into white jade lotus flowers and floated into the place where Su Wu could not touch. They did not see their spirits dissipate with their own eyes.
The probability of survival is extremely high.
And Shenxiu is also a monk who appeared in the human world after passing away.
His experience of "resurrection from the dead" is very similar to that of Shan Wuwei and Fu Kong. I wonder if the "Little Leiyin Temple" behind Shenxiu and the "Maitreya Inner Courtyard" behind Shan Wuwei and Fu Kong are vaguely involved.
Does it actually refer to the same place?
Su Wu and Fazhi went to the middle courtyard of Tiefo Temple together.
In the open space in the middle courtyard, a group of monks sat in lotus position. Green smoke floated from the incense burners around them, curling up into the clouds. However, the group of monks remained silent, only their minds were shaking like smoke.
At this time, the monks saw a tall young man leading the way, wearing a crane cloak. Their Dharma wisdom was half a step behind him. The monks' eyes were incomprehensible and they did not speak. They were just the smoke floating in the incense burners.
I suddenly felt a little stagnant.
Su Wu swept through the monks in the field and saw all the famous monks from temples inside and outside Chang'an gathered in the central courtyard of Tiefo Temple.
Young elite disciples such as Yin Zhi, who were particularly favored by Chang'an Buddhism, were also among them. When Yin Zhi saw Su Wu sitting cross-legged on a futon under the eaves, his heart swayed for a moment. He lowered his eyes and thought in his heart
I hope that one day I can be half as good as that senior person, attracting the attention of all the people, uniting all the channels, and being able to give teachings, lectures and empowerments to the monks of all the channels.
Fazhi sat cross-legged behind Su Wu. Most of the monks behind Su Wu were old.
With white eyebrows and white beards, they are not only the highest-ranking monks at the moment, but also the ones with the highest attainments in Buddhist practice in various monasteries.
The monks still take Dharma wisdom as their leader.
Fa Zhi first spoke up: "In the practice of Buddhism, those who have mastered it are respected.
The so-called venerable ones are those who are excellent in wisdom and virtue and can serve as role models for others. People in the world all have Buddha nature, and there is no difference between inside and outside. If they practice in different channels, they can also understand Buddhist principles and integrate the Buddha's teachings.
To teach the Dharma to Buddhist disciples.
Now we have invited Venerable Zhang Wu to be as equal to Patriarch Shenxiu in terms of Buddhism as he is to become the King of Eight Consciousnesses and manifest all conditioned dharma.
Your Holiness gave us the teaching and empowerment, and you have actually put aside the distinction between internal and external, and the differences in Dharma lineage. This is an act of the Great Merciful Saint. How can you, the disciples of the Buddha, still not show your respect?"
After Monk Fazhi finished speaking, the group of monks clasped their hands together and bowed their heads to Su Wu.
In the Zen courtyard, the Buddha kept singing: "Namo Amitabha!"
All the monks know that the Buddhist temples in Chang'an are now involved in a great unknown terror. Master Rushan Wuwei suddenly passed away because of this terror.
It is so terrifying that all the eminent monks and great virtues can do nothing about it. Only Master Fa Zhi invited Zhang Wu, who is now a bad commander and is undefeated in a martial arts battle with Patriarch Shenxiu, to give them enlightenment and save them from such a great evil.
Terror spread and he had to 'pass away'.
Right now, life is more important than the difference between sects.
They would not care that Su Wu was not a Buddhist.
The Buddha's singing resounded throughout the courtyards of Iron Buddha Temple for a while, but then it became quiet after a while.
"Honorable sir, please tell me." Fa Zhi reminded Su Wu at this time.
Su Wu nodded. He put his hands on his knees without making any mudras. As soon as his mind changed, his own nature began to spin around behind his head. In an instant, it merged into a manifestation of various colors, and for a while,
Return to the void and become a transparent roulette wheel.
He originally planned to use the method of mantra teaching, combined with the "Character of Samsara", to give an initiation to the monks. In the future, if the monks are involved in an experience similar to Shan Wuwei, relying on the "Charm of Samsara", he can
Block the terror behind the scenes and drag all the monks into reincarnation.
However, as the moment approached, Su Wu suddenly remembered what Ping Lingzi had said to him before in the meditation room.
Ghost Buddhas are actually born from the gathering thoughts of sentient beings, and Buddhism often says that all sentient beings have Buddha nature, but they are just confused and troubled by external objects, so they cannot see the Tathagata.
When all these so-called ‘Buddha-natures’ come together, do they turn into ‘ghost Buddhas’?
Where does such 'Buddha nature' come from? Is it a method left behind by 'ghost Buddhas' long ago?
If we infer from this that we have planted our own "self-nature" in the nature and will of all living beings in advance, and over time, if we have realized the nature of Dharma, then is this "self-nature" that remains in the nature and will of all living beings?
Is it another kind of dharma nature different from 'Buddha nature'?
If this development continues, what kind of result will it achieve?
The person who has experienced the most Su Wu nature today is Danjia.
She made a vow that after Su Wu became a Buddha, she would follow Su Wu, obtain the Buddha's fruit, and become a Bodhisattva by his side.
This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! - Because of this change in thoughts, Su Wu's empowerment for the monks was different from before.
He chanted the six-character Great Ming Mantra: "Om Mani Padme Hum!"
In the sound of the six-character mantra, a layer of wheels of light appeared behind Su Wu. In the six wheels of light, there were six "Su Wu" covered with different colors. These six Su Wu held the seals in their hands and guided them.
Introduce the nature of Su Wu and condense into a green sun in the sky!
This ‘emptiness’ does not refer to the current sky.
It’s the ‘emptiness’ where the nature of law resides in ‘emptiness’!
All the monks present were not in the sky, and they could not sense the green sun in the sky. However, when Su Wu recited the six-character Great Ming Mantra, they all got instructions. When Su Wu stayed in the sky for a moment,
They all also observed the 'empty' and saw the green sun in the sky!
The green sun was so bright that it suddenly turned into a giant pillar supporting the heaven and earth in the sky!
This giant pillar fell with the sound of the mantra, and then fell into the sexual consciousness of the monks present, planting the root of Su Wu's self-nature in their nature!
Immediately afterwards, circles of scarlet threads circled over the heads of the monks, and then disappeared into the void.
As of this time, all the monks have received Su Wu Shi’s initiation, and this ‘initiation’ ceremony is coming to an end!
However, many monks present had vacant eyes, all because they had just looked at the sky for a moment, and their minds were hard to calm down. There was silence in the whole place!
While the monks were still recalling the giant pillars supporting the heaven and earth and the vibrant green sun, Su Wu suddenly stood up and looked at the door of the central courtyard.
The sound of beetle leaves colliding could be heard from there.
The mountain-like Chu Dou, covered in golden armor, leads the way.
After General Chu Dou, surrounded by soldiers and eunuchs, a heroic figure stepped into the central courtyard of Tiefo Temple.
The man glanced at the many monks in the field, then turned his attention to Su Wu, with a smile on his face: "I wonder if I came just in time? Maybe I can catch up with the ritual of the bad commander's initiation?"
The visitor is none other than Emperor Xuanzong!
Fazhi heard the saint's words and stood up after Su Wu, his eyes filled with disbelief. Then he was filled with joy and excitedly knelt down to Emperor Xuanzong: "Your Majesty!"
"Greetings to Your Majesty!"
"The poor monk pays homage to Your Majesty!"
The group of monks came to their senses one after another. Seeing that Fazhi was prostrate to the ground, they all got up from the futon and bowed to Xuanzong respectfully!
The expressions of the monks were filled with surprise!
The sage respected Taoism and handed over the management of Taoist records and documents to Zongzheng Temple to show that Taoism was the state religion and that the surname Li in the world had one origin.
After he took the throne, although he never expressed an obvious attitude towards Buddhism, it was precisely because of his inexplicable attitude towards Buddhism and his tendency to win over Taoism that he gradually became abandoned by the upper class nobles. This trend continues
At the bottom level, although the people of the world have not yet shown an obvious attitude of abandoning Buddhism, their worship of Buddhism is no longer as enthusiastic as before.
If things continue like this, the incense of Buddhism will inevitably decline and there is a danger of collapse!
Since the saint came to the throne, he has never appeared in a Buddhist temple, and has never invited any eminent monk to give lectures on scriptures. But now, the saint suddenly appeared in the Iron Buddha Temple, and listening to his words, it was not like
I came to Tiefo Temple to punish me!
This alone has surprised all the monks!
What made me so overjoyed with Dharma wisdom that smile lines formed at the corners of my eyes was what the saint said next: "I have long heard that the tantric initiation method can bring blessings and disasters to people, get rid of all kinds of diseases, and even make mortals reborn.
Bad Commander is a master of both Buddhism and Taoism. I wonder if you can give me the initiation?"
